I randomly discovered this place in my neighborhood 1 week ago, and I've already been back 3 times. A large variety of bagels to choose from, and they're so yummy and FRESH! They make their own cream cheese, and they're very rich in flavor and texture. The staff is friendly and they greet everyone. This place gets quite busy on Saturdays; weekday mornings are a little bit slower (in my experience). My favorite so far is the Chipotle Turkey Club on a Cinnamon Rasin Bagel! Try them, your entire family will thank you. I promise. Note: The parking and entrance is located away from the street on the opposite side of Harper Ave.

There’s nowhere else I’d think to go to get fresh bagels other than Eastside Bagel! I used to stop in all the time when I worked in Harper Woods and still make it a point for a Saturday morning breakfast run! They have SO many delicious flavors, you seriously can’t go wrong but best to get there early as it can get very busy! The staff is friendly and serves quickly while preparing everything fresh. I absolutely love their breakfast bagel sandwiches- pictured is the Bacon, Egg White & Cheese Bagel with Swiss on a spinach Asiago bagel… SO delicious 🤤 On my last visit they were offering a free bagel with cream cheese to educators for back-to-school so I tried the cinnamon sugar- toasted with regular cream cheese. A sweet, creamy delight! The only thing I didn’t love was the cinnamon roll. If you like straight cream cheese, you will like this. The dough wasn’t that soft and the ‘frosting’ had a goo-like consistency which didn’t melt like icing when I put it in the microwave, but it’s a bagel place. I’ll forever be a fan of their fantastic bagels 🥯

First time here, but we’ll definitely be returning! The bagels were great, and so were the specialty cream cheeses. Must try the pumpkin cream cheese! It was phenomenal! The staff was super friendly too. So glad we stopped in to try it!

If you grew up on the East Coast, this is the closest to New York and New Jersey style bagels you will find. Their Everything Bagel is delicious, and while the plain bagel was a little dirtier, the bottom half of it was delicious... What would that sear that came from the oven. Also, the bagels are a tid smaller than anyone from the coast might expect, but it's not a whole distraction especially if you're looking for a diamond in the rough, which this is. I'm astonished that more people haven't done what Eastside bagels have done. However, and I say this with the utmost gratefulness for finding an actual bagel in Detroit Land... Their egg game is off. I have no idea what it takes to put together a proper workflow or cost analysis for actual eggs, but the powder eggs just don't do it. That's my only observation. I offer great thankfulness for their work!

Absolute best place for great, always fresh bagels. Even for dogs! I’d also like to mention the nicest woman in St Clair shores works there. Shyla! Sorry if my spelling is off! I am for the most part a regular customer of Eastside bagel and 100% of my time there I notice Shyla extremely polite and helpful for everyone! Great worker.

We came in and got in a long line behind about a dozen people and gradually worked our way towards the front. Luckily there's a menu to look at while you're waiting which is nice. Once you get to the front somebody will take your order and just so you know that same person will bring your order to you, after a while. While you're waiting you pay, honor system I guess, guy just asks what you ordered and you tell him. Then you wait, in a crowd, we didn't know how this worked so after a bit I asked the guy at the cash register and he said that he will remember us.. Eventually the same guy that took our order came out with a bag of our food and brought it to us at our table. While we waited we were able to grab a booth which was cool, always like to eat my food when it's the freshest. So the sandwiches were delicious except one was miniature, not sure why but felt kind of ripped off for a $9 or $10 sandwich it was tiny, can see in the photo. They came with bagel crisps and a pickle which was nice except the bagel crisps definitely need some cream cheese so it's sort of like an upsell. Unsold bagels turned into crisps that causes people to buy cream cheese, which is exactly what we did, got back in line for cream cheese. The garlic cream cheese was delicious also. Oh yeah the avocado on the one sandwich was pretty rock hard. Weird thing, the owner was talking to a taller gentleman who tried hittin on a girl that was there waiting and she did not like it, awwwwkward...

Have been getting bagels here for 20 yrs. Recent experiences have been very disappointing. Wait times ridiculous. Workers seem more interested in helping friends than people who come in weekly. Sandwiches have not been made correctly last several visits. Today I ordered egg, bacon, tomato bagel sandwich and after 30 min wait got alot of bacon with about half the usual egg and cheese instead of tomato. Very sad to see a place we love go down the drain.

East Side Bagel is a breakfast gem in our neighborhood. Their bagels are simply amazing - fresh, chewy, and with a variety of delectable flavors. Whether you're a fan of classic spreads or creative combinations, they have something for everyone. The friendly staff here makes you feel right at home, and the service is quick. It's my favorite spot for a quick and tasty morning bite. If you're a bagel lover, don't miss out on East Side Bagel - you won't be disappointed!

Bagels are a 3 out of 5 but the employees here are HORRIBLY RUDE and employees are not wearing proper face coverings for COVID-19. Especially the older bald gentleman who rings people up on Saturday’s. They left me and my mother waiting 10+ minutes for food items and the employees were scrambling around looking lost trying to find the items we ordered. An older woman I’m assuming was a manager or owner (who had her mask under her nose)came out and sighed loud over the fact the item my mother ordered was in the back and the container needed to be refilled so she was upset she had to go back there and refill it. That is your job. Don’t work in customer service if you have an attitude stay at home. The management here is sure messy and you can sure see it on all of their faces. I’d rather go to Einstein Bagels where the employees are nice. Once this place gets better staff maybe they’d do better business.

Still not sure why it took me so long to try this place because it's was delicious. I really enjoyed the antipasto sandwich I got it on the feta cheese bagel. I also got a slat stick for later on in the day. This place was very busy when I got there but it moved quickly. Parking is in the back of the building. They did have a few seats available inside and outside. Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for a good breakfast, brunch or lunch...... Delicious one of my new favorite places in the area!

bagels were ok but some lady working there was really rude. not worth patronizing when there's like 6 places in the area that taste exactly the same.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! The place was packed but the staff was efficient and very attentive and got through the long line quickly. The unique menu really was awesome! The food was fanatic and the staff was extremely friendly and went way above and beyond for us. Since I am a small business owner myself I like to support local Michigan businesses and WOW - this was the fist time There but it blew my mind and we will be registrars going forward!

We love these bagels! I highly recommend the Asiago bagel, with garlic chive cream cheese! So good! We also love the blueberry, chocolate bagels too. Best part, you order and pay online, then walk in and pick up your order at the front table, no waiting in line if you’re in a hurry. Friendly staff, excellent food. Thanks!!!

I love Eastside Bagel! Since moving to Eastpointe I have gone multiple times, my daughter loves the chocolate chip bagel with a side of strawberry cream cheese, I get the cinnamon sugar bagel toasted with strawberry cream cheese and my husband says the eggs are so good and fluffy he likes garlic bagel with egg and cheese!! My weekend breakfast destination ❤️

Tried this spot for the first time today! I ordered a Parmesan bagel with egg, bacon, and cheese. I’m very picky with foods and wasn’t in-love with how the eggs on the first bagel looked. I called and (the owner?) Jeff insisted I come back for him to make me a fresh one on the house! I did, and he even offered for me to keep the first one as well! He threw in a pack of chocolate chip cookies with the new sandwich and insisted I call him back if there were any issues at all, and that he’d take care of it. He was very kind about the situation, and handled it as best as he possibly could have. I will definitely be coming back here. The re-made bagel was FANTASTIC! And I appreciated the kindness of Jeff and all of the girls working the front counter as well. He handled that as a great business owner would, and with a smile on his face. I would highly recommend this place!😊 thank you Jeff!

This place is dangerous because they have so many great bagel options. You can go in on any given morning and struggle to choose between at least a dozen flavors, ranging from sweet to savory. They're always nice and fresh, with that texture and flavor that make you think about having a second one even though you're still eating the first and telling yourself one is enough. For now. The cream cheese selection is amazing, too. They have other things like salads and sandwiches, but I honestly just go for the bagels. I'll get some for work sometimes, too, and the whole whole office loves -- ahem, devours -- them.

Best bagels in Michigan, maybe the USA (can't say 'cause I've only eaten bagels in Michigan). The staff greets customers immediately and are always friendly and helpful. They care about their customers and go the extra mile. One time they gave me an extra salt bagel, on the house, to make up for the fact that they had sold out of the salt stick that I came for.

This was one of the best dining experiences I've had. First and foremost, the food was outstanding. The breakfast sandwiches were flavorful, hot, and delicious. The staff were incredibly kind and genuinely cared that we had an excellent experience. They very clearly are passionate about their product but even more so, the guest experience. If you have the chance, stop by. You won't be disappointed.

Stopped on after a search local. Restaurant was clean, well decorated and extremely well staffed to handle the morning rush on a Saturday. Ordered a simple toasted everything bagel with cream cheese, excellent flavors and a great bagel with a good proportion of cream cheese. Prices were within reason for the quality of the bagels. I’ll be back to try many other things they have on the menu (even items beyond just bagels!)

We visited the Eastside Bagel company this morning for the very first time just looking for a quick place to carb load before tomorrows marathon. When we got there we were blown away by the unique specials menu but were even more blown away by the quality of food along with the friendly efficient staff! What a great local st clair shores gem - we will be coming back here often -

Called and placed order was so happy because when got there was a nice long line but it was moving frequently though. Received my food and the cashier was kind. The food was delicious as usual and the bagels were so soft.

Sometimes people don't notice, sometimes they do but don't say anything. Today, I visited Eastside Bagel it was my 2nd visit and wanted to share what I noticed. There are Clorox wipes on every table. There is hand sanitizer out as well. When someone returned from break she washed her hands before putting gloves on. When someone started their shift they also washed their hands as soon as they walked in. Everyone handling food wore gloves and only 1 person who didn't handle food cashed people out. Everyone and I mean everyone whether they were in the front or in back had masks on!! You can see they have clear protocols in place and are all following them. For that, I say Thank you! Thank you for all your hard work in taking those extra steps. BTW the bagels and bagel sandwiches we ordered were all awesome as well!!

Found a better place with consistent prices New York bagel in Ferndale ! First time visiting and won’t be back. Good bagel sandwich however I asked to add turkey on my egg and cheese and was charged an extra $3 for ONE SLICE of turkey. Seems very overpriced. Girl in front of me was charged $15 then while waiting notice she was over charged and cashier had to refund her $5. Seems like a cluster here and prices vary on who’s running the register.
