With
the
price
of
steak
so
high
now
in
supermarkets,
a
9
ounce
filet
at
Longhorn
along
with
a
side
and
salad
for
$26.99
seems
like
a
great
deal.
I
went
in
the
early
afternoon
and
ordered
from
the
lunch
menu.
I
chose
"Flo's"
filet,
a
loaded
baked
potato,
and
substituted
asparagus
for
salad
for
a
buck
or
2
more.
A
smaller
6
ounce
steak
is
available
for
4
dollars
less,
but
that
seems
more
of
a
lady's
portion
to
me,
unlikely
to
satiate
a
man's
appetite.
The
steak
was
cooked
to
a
perfect
medium
rare.
Last
week
I
ordered
the
same
meal
and
enjoyed
it
thoroughly.
On
this
occasion
I
listened
to
the
server's
suggestions
for
possible
toppings
on
the
steak
and
ordered
what
I
thought
was
going
to
be
just
a
light
sprinkling
of
parmesan
cheese.
What
arrived
was
a
steak
completely
covered
in
blue
cheese,
then
sprinkled
with
parmesan.
It
reminded
me
of
a
heavily
frosted
cupcake.
The
topping
itself
tasted
quite
good,
but
on
my
next
visit
I
will
be
returning
to
the
previous
order.
In
my
opinion
the
blue
cheese
flavor
overpowers
the
delicate
flavor
of
the
filet.
Pictured
along
with
the
meal
are
the
warm
bread
and
butter
that
comes
to
every
table
just
after
ordering,
as
well
as
the
triple
chocolate
cheesecake
dessert.
