Actually, the name is 'PRO BASS SHOPS & OUTDOOR WORLD'. I learned that by chance. I made the decision to leave the HARRISBURG MALL and go home. So I start walking from the 2nd floor of the MALL heading to the stairs, escalator or any way that would allow me to go downstairs. Now at the top of the stairs, I carefully start walking down them. Now at the bottom, I start walking in the direction to the parking lot. As I am walking, I see and hear a toddler (13 maybe 14 months old) crying, who is being hurried along by his mother. For some reason, the toddler is pointing behind them. So, I made the decision to do an investigation as to why. I slowly walk to the point where I saw the toddler pointing, looks inside and was totally amazed. Inside, is a Zoo...wait...not a Zoo, but stuffed animals that looks really, really real. Now I see why that toddler wanted to hang around. After that detective work, I notice the sign, 'PRO BASS SHOPS & OUTDOOR WORLD'. I walk inside and take pictures. The store, place or whatever this nice huge store is, is simply remarkable. They have everything inside that represents it's name. After taking pictures inside, I did not want to leave. Now, I am now acting just like that toddler, who wants to remain at the ZOO (this place is not a Zoo). So, I came up with a plan to trick myself to leave, I walked outside, take a couple pictures of the entrance, after that, I walk to my car, got inside and left.

Wow .... Great store. First up... I went to get a hunting licence, not expecting the huge array of live and taxidermy animals. Kids loved the aquarium and the animals on display inside and outside. By the way the hunting license turned to a range permit and the staff behind the counter were great to explain it all and beyond. I saw the mall behind the top floor but couldn't access it from within and didn't venture around either.... Maybe next time. Overall great experience and still have to explore all the place has to offer. Definitely recommended just for a casual visit, licensing , apparel, boat.... Yup boat and many other things under the sun for outdoor activities.

Fantastic and comprehensive outdoor store，It includes almost all outdoor activities. as if in nature. A lot of lovely taxidermy, lifelike. they frolic in the bushes…Elevator goes up and down in rockery、waterfall, fish in water…

This is the best Bass Pro Shop location I have ever visited. I do a lot of traveling and I have shopped at many Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops around the nation. This store has to be the best stocked, clean and employee friendly location to date. We met many people today who seem to enjoy their jobs at this location. This store is incredible! This is my first time in a Bass Pro Shops, and it certainly won’t be my last. They have everything for fishing, hunting, camping, etc. More equipment than you can imagine. Men’s and women’s clothing, for outdoor activities. A seasonal section, with seasonal treats and decor. Old fashion candies and jerky. The list goes on and on. In the center of the store is a rock wall, with a massive fish tank and a glass elevator, that takes you to the second floor. You could spend hours here, just walking around and looking at everything they have! There are also a lot of beautiful taxidermy animals displayed around the second floor, if you are into that sort of thing. Oh, and there are a couple of target shooting games you can play, to practice your hunting skills. We had a lot of fun playing those. And now, since it’s November, a section of the first floor is decked out, to look like the North Pole. Santa is there! And you can come in, anytime the store is open and have your picture taken with him, for free! It’s adorable! This place is magical! And the employees are all really sweet and helpful!

A true paradise for any shopper. I purchased a very large item and a ton of little items. Everything is nicely laid out and easy to navigate. The escalators make it easy to get to the second floor. My whole family enjoyed watching the huge fish in the tank and getting to see the many different boats and other vehicles in the store. During our purchase of our new boat, the sales rep JD and sales manager Dan were keeping us informed every step of the way. Johnny completed our paperwork for the sale, and it was a true pleasure to meet him. We had some good laughs. Then we met Seth for the delivery of our boat and he is very knowledgeable. He walked us through every detail, and when I left, I felt I knew everything about the boat for its first launch. Two trips later, I haven't found one thing he didn't mention. My family is enjoying our new boat, and we thank you all for a great experience. Also, grab some gummy bears on your way out...freshest you'll ever have.

This was just a quick stop in to pick up a dog leash on the way to Gettysburg but all I can say is wow. As an outdoor enthusiast this place basically has a little bit for every outdoors person. My lite guy got a kick out of the gigantic waterfall feature in the middle of the store with the local fish swimming around within it.

The store is very cool design. I like the big moose and other animals inside. Once they open up, there's pictures with Santa for kids. The fish were definitely my favorite. As they were cool and swim up to the glass. They also had ornaments for Christmas and sheep, t-shirts, and hoodies.

I really felt happy to be in person at this great place. I love the outdoors, specially fishing 🎣. I buy online, but being able to walk in the store is and shop some things for me and my kids was just perfect. Hope to be back in the near future.

Absolutely one of my favorite places to visit. Especially around the holidays. My kids love getting their pictures with the bunny, for Halloween, and with Santa. Always book your pictures ahead of time on their website. There was almost no line at all this year for Easter pictures.

Very nice employees. Great selection of stuff to choose from for the outdoor world. Glad I came to Harrisburg.

Decided to go here after having dinner a couple blocks away, was an amazing experience, not busy at all 😁

Terrible Customer Service in Archery, Go Somewhere Else If You Can! I live about a 45 minute drive from the store. I showed up in the morning to purchase a bow and get it set up. After arriving, I was told that no one from archery was going to be in until 4pm. That was not going to work. I checked the paper schedule for archery techs and came nack when they were here. When there was a tech actually here, they did an amazing job! I needed other archery services, so I called ahead the next to make sure someone was going to be in when I was planning to show up, at 9am when the store opens. Customer service told me they would be in at 8am, before it opens. However, when I arrived, there was no one from archery around. I walked behind the counter to check the paper schedule. It showed the first archery tech scheduled in at 10am, not 8am. A store manager said he would be in, in a few minutes at 9am. When I asked about the scheduled 10am arrival time, he dodged the question. I am leaving this review while standing and waiting at the archery counter. When I am done, if no one shows, I will find another archery place, and try to find other places to shop in general. I will also recommend the same to people in my circle. Well, no one here, so I'm out. Don't waste three hours of your time like I did, find another archery store!

I've been to a few different Bass Pro locations and this one is the coolest one that I've been to with awesome wildlife displays. Only giving it 4 stars because my girl and I tried to use the shooting range and only 2 out of the roughly 10 or so rifles were operating so we had to wait for 2 other people to finish up the game round before we could play. It's not too busy compared to the Arundel Mills, MD location probably because the Harrisburg mall is known as a "dead" mall and has such low volume of business and most of the shops/ stores in the mall are closed or closing.

We took our grandsons because they received gift cards for Christmas. They enjoyed the fish tank and liked looking for items to add to their fishing supplies. The store is well paid out and checkout was fast.

This place is ALWAYS AWESOME to visit when I am bored because most employees have real experience knowledge there, so when your asking a clerk in the fishing department where you can find a specific lure most of em can take you straight to what your looking for and will give you advice or info on whatever pertains to helping you . Plus, I like walking around and reading stuff in all the different departments that are there to educate you in whatever outdoor adventure your getting in to and current news. I love the enormous fish tank and the kids can catch the fish outside infront of the store is pretty cool

Not a good experience today and usually bass pro is amazing. I picked up a SOG multi tool that they advertised as $29.99 and had multiple of them on the end cap. At checkout it rang up as $49.99 and they would not honor the price they are actively advertising it as. I left it there and walked out.

We came to see Santa. If I were an outdoors person I would probably give this place five stars however without being an outdoors girl it didn't really appeal and Santa had a very long way they also did not advertise that you needed a reservation

Love this bass pro! The one by me in Florida sucks, this one is always a visit when I return to PA. The aquarium they have is high quality!

I'll be that guy...I'd have given them a zero if I could. These crooks sold me a Black Rain AR for $1300 (total bill was $3200 with everything else I purchased). The rifle didn't function so I followed protocol and sent it back to the manufacturer. When I got it back the issue was worse. I asked Bass Pro for a refund because this isn't a toy we're talking about, it's a gun that could cause injury or death. After weeks of back and forth they offered a discount if I bought another gun or to buy this gun back at "fair market value". To me that's my $1300 and why would I ever buy another gun there? I encourage you to stay away from this store and visit your local gun shop. I don't wish harm on anyone but I hope their poor decisions come back to haunt them in a lawsuit that ruins them for good. If anyone wants to see proof of the issue or the emails I'm happy to share. Update... they gave me all my money back. I still won't shop there but they did the right thing.

There’s a reason people say don’t shop at Bass Pro Shop. I came in to buy some tiki torches for my upcoming cookout and ended up spotting a grill that I really liked. I took a picture of the product tag and asked an employee for help. I had already bought a grill somewhere else but figured I’d return it and get this one instead, which I did. They said they had some in receiving and sent me back there to pick it up. When I got home I unboxed it and found out it was actually a griddle. I thought maybe I had made the mistake and picked out a griddle instead or didn’t understand the display they had out. I accepted that I had made a mistake and tried to make the best of it. I tried using the griddle and it is downright terrible. Completely unusable. Now I’m stuck with it and I’m having 20 people over for a cookout in two days and no useable grill. The best part is I checked the photo I took and the SKU number on the tag is completely different than the SKU on the box. So I was given a completely different grill than what I asked for. It’s a shame that I had to lose $400 to figure out what I have heard for years from other people but maybe I can save someone else the time, frustration, and money. If you are shopping for anything at all, trust that you are far better off going anywhere else than Bass Pro Shop. I even found the tiki torches at half the price and twice the quality elsewhere after the fact.

Just what you expect from Bass Pro and everything I needed in the stop. Clean store, helpful staff to find things and full shelves. Also, a beautiful wildlife display.

This place is HUGE! I felt like I was on a field trip. There's was so much to see. There's 2 floors with an elevator. They carry a huge verity of outdoor gear. Boats, clothing, grills,, guns riffles, fishing rods ect. Also the fish tank & animals (stuffed) are really neat to see.

For not being that busy on a Friday during the Great Outdoor Show, the place was under staffed. I waited forever for someone to answer questions in the gun department. Gentlemen in front of me waited 2 hours! As I waited I watched several employees be unproductive. I even witnessed a gentlemen walk in with a pistol for trade that wasn’t even checked in at the front. Once I finally did get asked if I had any questions the gentlemen half looked at the guns and said he didn’t have it in the caliber I was looking for. Even though the website says it was in stock. My wife was going to buy something and when we saw only two people working the registers, and a line 10+ deep, we changed our mind. Again, this is during the Great Outdoor Show when you know there will be more store traffic. Sad experience. They lost out on at least a $1000+ from us.
