It is indeed a humble kitchen, but there's nothing humble about these burgers. They are delicious. And so was the poutine. I love everything about this place. Not just because we share a name. They make take out that makes you feel like your momma sent you home with leftovers (I'm assuming your momma was a decent cook). The staff was friendly and the decor was rustic. I'll be back. Maybe I'll see you there.

The burgers & fries were absolutely delicious. Kinda like five guys, just better. Everything is so simple as well, the burger toppings never get too carried away. The inside of the place has nice comfy seats, and if you’d prefer to be outside, nice picnic benches are set up for families to feast. More importantly, it’s all very affordable. With inflation sky high, you’d be hard pressed to find an affordable burger this delicious.

This place is amazing. It is everything you can want in a burger place that has that great small town feel to it. They know the names of the regulars and make you feel welcome. The food comes out in a timely manner and is delicious. They even have a gluten free Penny Burger Salad where there is no bun. The prices are extremely reasonable for what you get. A definite must visit place.

First time lunch there yesterday and Papa Joe packs 'em in. Very busy but very efficient. Staff is solid: knowledgeable and friendly. Place is clean and you can even eat outside. I loved my Burger but they all looked great. Husband pleased with his BLT but thought the bacon could have been crispier. 9 out of 10 = will return.

Papa Joe don't need to be humble anymore. His food is so tasty and delicious, I start to lose control when I take a bite, and if I see somebody hangin' around, I don't get up-tight... because the only thing I wanna do tonight..... is go 'round and 'round and turn upside down. It gives me such a feeling, like I want to be dancin' on the ceiling. WARNING - Please do not attempt because of gravity, and also because the place has low ceilings. Just eat the food. It's good.

Wicked good burgers! The tiger fries and poutine are some of the best I’ve had. The Matt’s steakhouse burger with bbq sauce is a staple when I go here.

Great lunch. Everything was fantastic. Small hometown feel. My BLT was perfect. The guys loved the burgers. But the star of the show were the poutine fries! The small was plenty to share.

This is an excellent burger spot. I grew up eating the take and cook meals from them when they were humble pie (not that I'm unappreciative of my mom's cooking, it's just that nights we had food from humble pie we're REALLY good). After moving away for several years and back, I had driven past this place for a while thinking it was a side of the road burger stand and probably not to my liking. My mom mentioned that it was the same humble pie owners running the restaurant and I had to go. My personal favorite is the Kelsey burger, with blue cheese, but you can't go wrong with any of their other burgers except the Ken (sorry Ken I just don't like plain burgers. I hope we can still be friends.) Everything is the perfect amount of greasy, as burgers and fries should be. I used to stop at 5 guys on the way home from hiking but now I get a better burger here instead. My only qualm is that they recently started charging a credit card surcharge. I realize that this is to recoup the cost of their acceptance of credit cards, but I don't like this trend overall as it feels like initial dishonesty of prices despite the signs that are now up and the fee that the banks charge is for the business' convenience as much as the consumer convenience. Dealing with cash is a pain for both of us. Why must I bear the cost of avoiding it?

Excellent burgers! Tasted great with careful assembly. The toppings were great and nicely balanced. Served in a paper tray wrapped in foil for easy eating. The onion rings were the best I've ever had. The Weathervane Restaurant used to have great onion rings, but these were even better. Definitely try it out!

Great burger joint for eat in and takeout. Their expanded dining room has made eat-in much easier. The burgers are always great, they are generous with the toppings. Highly recommend the sweet potato fries. Fried fish sandwich is also great.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The burgers were tasty and didn't feel greasy. They have some really interesting options to choose from on their menu. I look forward to coming back to try more of their food.

Parking was tricky but it was well worth it! Great food. Went with my family of 6. We each got something different: fish 'n chips, 3 different kinds of burgers, chili cheese dog, and the BLT. All of them were phenomenal. Service was amazing, decor is adorable, prices are amazing for the food you get!

This is a great locals spot. The food was average. We had a couple of cheeseburgers , A Matt's Steakouse Burger, fries and onion rings. The fries and rings were great. They were crispy and tasty. The burgers were average, but nothing wrong. The best part of the experience was the staff. They were super friendly and happy. The one drawback is that there isn't a great deal of inside seating. Excellent for takeout. Parking is tight but we found enough.

Why get a fast food burger, that besides a dollar menu item is more than here! This place is a reasonable price and tastes so much better. For a regular burger and fries you’re looking at under $8. That’s a steal in my opinion!

Was recommended by a friend. Ladies inside super friendly and helpful. Ordered once I got there for carry out. Food came out fast. Only complaint no side of ketchup for French fries in bag

Best burgers I've ever had! Poutine is delicious as well. I love the fact that they're not a chain, prices are great and the staff are always polite. Don't think I'll stop going any time soon.

small, pretty popular spot specializing in burgers. and the burgers we had were great, had the tim's burger and jay's burger, both were great. they have lots of other stuff too, a variety of chicken dishes and some entrees such as chicken cobbler and Italian lasagna. had inside small area and an outside area also....food was great, service was pleasant and all cooked to order!!

I was brought here by a friend and I'll admit I didn't have high expectations. The food was phenomenal. Simple, yet fun menu. Worth the drive to avoid overpriced fast food

Amazingly great fried food & burgers. I got the Cardiac Burger and it was epic. I could only mow through half.we also got poutine, chili and cheese fries and my wife got the Steakhouse burger. Everything was delicious and we'd definitely recommend checking out this great spot. This will continue to be one of our regulars as a local.

Best burger I’ve had in New Hampshire. The basic burger with cheese and pickles is hard to beat. This place has won many accolades for their delicious burgers and they are all rightfully deserved.

The food is delicious! We got Matt's Steakhouse burger with Poutine fries (topped with Gravy and Cheese Curds) . Highly recommend those fries! We also got the fish and chips. It was very good. We had the food to go. Everything stayed fresh and crisp until we ate it at the local pond.

Burgers are a little smaller for those expecting American restaurant-style sizes, but I appreciated the opportunity to have a side and not feel stuffed afterwards. The burgers were very tasty and well priced for the size. Food was fresh, people very friendly, and the atmosphere was a nice escape from the day. Go for the Cajun Fries!

If it was humanly possible, I would eat the "Matt's Steakhouse Burger" with BBQ in place of Ranch and a side of sweet potato fries every single day of my life. Papa Joe's is hands down the best burger I have ever had. Kudos to the humble kitchen team!

Had never been here before but decided to try it on my daughter’s recommendation & I definitely wasn’t disappointed… The burgers are amazing and clearly hand made… The Onion rings(shoestring) had just the right amount of batter and the flavor was perfect. I will definitely be going back again & again!
