A
very
beautiful,
heart-pleasing
and
a
historic
place
where
Sanglikars
are
proud
of,
where
anyone
from
all
over
the
world
never
leaves
Sangli
without
coming
here.
Patvardhan
Raje,
ruler
of
the
Sangli
kingdom,
built
this
temple
in
the
1800s.
In
this
temple,
you
will
find
everything
from
carvings
to
ancient
artefacts.
The
temple
is
spread
over
a
very
large
area
in
the
center
of
which
is
seated
Ganarai,
the
adorable
deity
of
Sangli,
surrounded
by
four
temples,
one
is
the
Shiva
temple,
the
second
is
the
Suryanarayana
temple,
the
third
is
the
Chintamanishwari
Devi
temple
and
the
fourth
temple
is
the
Lakshminarayana
temple.
As
this
area
has
already
expanded,
a
small
garden
has
been
created
on
the
side.
Earlier,
Bablu
Hatti
of
Sangli
Sansthan
and
Gajraj
Hatti
used
to
live
there
and
now
after
the
death
of
Bablu
Hatti,
a
permanent
temple
of
Navagraha
was
built
there
and
Navagraha's
temple
is
next
to
Kenganeshwari
Devi,
the
village
goddess
of
Sangli.
There
is
a
temple.
The
entire
area
was
already
under
the
rule
of
the
Patvardhan
governments,
so
the
surrounding
area
is
still
known
by
their
name,
except
for
a
certain
part
of
the
Mai
Ghat
area
behind
it,
some
places
are
still
under
the
Sangli
state.
Talking
about
the
temple
premises,
there
is
also
a
big
hall
which
is
dedicated
for
special
auspicious
activities
and
many
events
are
celebrated
here.
Even
today
during
Ganeshotsav,
His
Highness
Vijayasimha
Raje
Patwardhan,
the
current
Ruler
of
Sangli
Sansthan,
attends
and
the
special
thing
here
is
that
during
Ganeshotsav,
a
Ganesha
called
Chor
Ganapati
is
installed
after
a
few
days.
And
just
a
few
days
ago,
new
culminations
of
four
temples
around
the
Ganpati
temple
were
installed
here.
However,
if
you
go
to
see
this
temple,
it
is
very
attractive,
so
I
would
tell
every
person
who
comes
from
outside
that
she
must
come
once
and
experience
the
blissful
peace
and
see
Bappa.
