This is such an overrated hospital!! My father has been in and out of Rush Hospital for the past year, and some of the nursing staff, especially on the 9th floor are rude and inadequate. Their failure to provide adequate needed service lead to additional complications. They seemed more concerned with trying to discharge him as soon as possible without resolving the issue that brought him in to begin with.

I'm sitting in the waiting room in the ER with a friend who has a shoulder and neck injury. We've been here 10 hours and have yet to see a doctor. There was a man gratifying himself and acting aggressively and he's been allowed to wait in the waiting room. The staff is committed to do the absolute bare minimum. This place has become as bad as county.

This Hospital E.R staff are up there with Holy Cross Hospital rude staff. Very overrated was in the e.r from 4:30pm & was able to finally see a doctor at 11:00pm after some nurse switch off. The county Hospital is probably faster than Rush horrible experience.

Overall very good physician team; some residents need more training on culture and diversity when it comes to treating everyone with the same level of professionalism/respect. Environment of inpatient on admitting was notably dirty up until formally complained (had asked verbally for room to be cleaned ) (rooms should be checked before admission and at least daily) After writing concerns to patients relations room was properly clean. Nursing department was good only suggestions, round more and provide maybe welcome kits (towels , soap , etc ) my husband was never offered any clean towels or gowns until 2 days later when I asked . He was given CHG wipes on admission you can only use these on your arms and legs not face or private areas. The nurse manager addressed my concerns immediately and was very apologetic intact she is the only one who truly was apologetic for his experience (Thank you). This is a nice review still waiting to hear from patient relations from my last complaint .

I’ve been to several hospital ERs and Rush is the worst one that I’ve been to. Inattentive triage took down wrong chief complaint, lowering ranking for care and resulting in mistreatment. The staff was standing around watching a soccer game and joking about how they didn’t want to be there. In triage & ER rooms, furniture fabric is so worn that it is no longer anti-microbial or meeting standards for health industry fabric. Triage bathrooms were unsanitary and hadn’t been cleaned. Both toilet seats had fecal splatter all over. No janitorial staff in the ER waiting room for the 8 hours I waited. Soiled linens in corners and in furniture, no sweeping /mopping, bathroom floors were sticky, hand sanitizer by children’s room didn’t smell like hand sanitizer and had horrible unsanitary-like odor. Once in the ER room, the prior patients urine bottle was left in room. Water at sink was cold and had no pressure. There was no communication or coordination between the two doctors who treated me so the final doctor treated me for the incorrect complaint that the inattentive triage nurse entered. I was discharged on incorrect information and didn’t receive proper treatment or care.

Rush has always been a great hospital where you get the best care possible From the moment you enter, they treat you with respect and concerns for your ,wellbeing. The nurses are phenomenal answering your questions and seeing that you have a positive experience during your stay. I wouldn’t go to any other hospital.

Zero stars!!!!!!! I worked here in the radiology department(CT). I had my baby and someone from radiology took images of my baby and had knowledge that I delivered and she was in the NICU and proceeded to go back and tell others that I had my baby and she was in the hospital. Violated my rights, my baby’s rights, HIPAA and probably some other stuff. Seeking legal assistance to see what can be done because I shared this info with no one at this hospital that I worked with. If you respect your privacy, do not come here and do NOT work here!

Well let’s start I have had good and bad here in this hospital I guess it just depends some employees can be helpful and some are just rude when you get admitted to hospital . For me stay was clean Half of staff is nice other is kinda rude they go to work just for the money as you can notice it’s not patients fault at that point but Rush gets a 4 because they have great doctors .
