You need a friday night fish fry, any friday...try Steves. A number of different fish including the old stanby Perch. Also has fried shrimp or chicken. Start with the complimentary relish tray and you can get sides and salad. The bar is a real intimate place with the small town feel. Special Get me started on Hegewisch, it small but pleasant

Fantastic prices for catering and really good food. Absolutely consistent, which is vital when you want to hold an precious moment event. The fried chicken and beef are delicious but I hold a special place for their polish sausage and sauerkraut. Best in the business! I also have to mention their creamy salad dressing; if I'm force to eat salad, I must have their creamy white dressing. Try it I know you'll like it!

The food is excellent and portions are generous. That being said, we walked in at 5:30pm, seated ourselves, no waitress for 15 minutes, no menu, no drink orders taken. Another 15 minutes, took orders (3), she said 25 minutes...45 min later she came to the table to tell us our meals were being prepared 'now'. She blamed the kitchen for the delay. Plenty of people in the kitchen but NO ORGANIZATION! Three waitresses for about 100 diners. Go for the great food. Plan on 3 hours.

Great place, I think they need better cups and a bit better lighting. But other than that the food is good

Steve's catered our 50th anniversary party & everyone raved about the food. The roast beef in gravy was the star, with real mashed potatoes. His menu is varied & everything was just plain good. Steve is a pleasure to do business with, & prices are reasonable. Thanks Steve, our party was a great success!

Their food is good. Their service is horrible. There is one woman. Covering the entire dinning room. She is slower than molasses. She never smiled, most of the time doesn't answer when spoken to. She get there to you when she gets there. It showed in her attitude too. Heard someone say she gets away with it cause she's the owners girlfriend. Then he came out later and slowed her down to give her a kiss while the poor service continued. I recommend skip it due to the bad service.

Let me start off by saying the food was excellent. Our waitress Rachael was not. Took forever to take our order , 20 minutes to get our drink and our second drink I went up to the bar to get myself. Finally after an hour we got our food! Asked for the bill, never got. it had to go up to the cashier to let her know and ended up telling her what we ordered so we could leave. I wanted to give 1 star but like I said the food was excellent.

Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. Ample parking. THE BEST FRESH POLISH SAUSAGE IN THE WORLD. If anyone has the recipe please share. I was just told they will not carry the recipe after the new year.

Steve's is one of the best catering places get fried fish and fried chicken in Northern Indiana. They are awesome for quick catering options. Their fish can be purchased by the pound and the variety is very good. We had the perch which was not greasy and very crispy.

Kitchen was a little slow last night but the food was excellent

Fantastic service with our Thanksgiving holiday catering! The turkey the cornbread stuffing the Polish sausage and everything else was so good !! This was our second time with Steves catering our family Thanksgiving holiday meal and hope to continue to have our meals catered for another few years. Thank you to Steve's !!

Didn't care for it at all employees came in taking butter from our tables for another party people weren't finished eating they were cleaning table's the only good thing was the bartender

This place was great we had a great party our host Rachel was the best but Bonnie was kinda rude telling us we had to leave and cleanup and we had to kick the guests out other than that great place

Husband and the kids surprised me with a Mother's day brunch that was held here. Food was great. Loved the Turkey breast and side dishes.
