I severely fractured my arm on May 6. An ambulance rushed me here to Lutheran General. In some cases, you may have to wait several hours to be seen. However, because my injury was really bad, they took me in immediately. Both bones were broken. I required surgery. Even though they couldn't do the surgery immediately, the orthopedic surgeon referred me to another surgeon outside of the hospital to do the procedure, and he did. I am very thankful that I was treated with compassion and care. I can't leave a bad review because they didn't do the surgery, as they have multiple patients to treat. Regardless, I am thankful for their best efforts.

I had to take my son in for emergency care, and everyone we had contact with was just great. The check-in went smooth and was able to see a doctor in a short time. I was impressed on how nice the place looked and how many people Advocate had staffed to care for patients.I must say that Advocate hired caring people to help you out in a time of need.I am glad I have a hospital like Advocate Luteran General with state of the art equiptment for our needs. Thank you for your services, but I hope we dont have to visit you anytime soon.

This can’t be called Emergency Room this is a clinic. I am writing this while waiting. It is almost 8 hours since we are here. Can’t understand their admission order/rule, seems very random, seeing people admitted who came after us. And of course at 2am when exhausted kids were sleeping some very intelligent creature forgot to hang up radio properly. So it is beeping endlessly, annoying and waking up little kids.

I'd add more stars if I could and a pamphlet about triage to address people who left negative reviews and think waiting in a hospital for an issue that is not immediately life threatening is a reason to leave a negative review or not in the norm...if they treat a patient who walked in after you before they treat you or you have to wait to be treated, be grateful. It means the people they are treating are having a worse day than you are. Unfortunately, I've ended up here multiple times and for multiple injuries throughout my life. So far, every time I've left the building put back in one piece and they have been professional, kind, and comforting.

The nurses and doctors were kind but overall did not understand what I was going through. In 2022 while I was at a residential treatment facility for eating disorders I was admitted here for a severe concussion but they also tried to treat my eating disorder. My parents were 8 hours away and I had an ng tube shoved up my nose for not finishing my food. It was painful and my parents were critiqued for not being there but they can't be out of work for that many months.

As with all Emergency Rooms you will have to wait your turn and it could be hours. I was treated with such kindness and gentle care by all the staff and doctors. They work as fast as they can to get everyone taken care of. I went in with a tonsil abscess that couldn't be helped by urgent care so they sent me here. By the time I left, I felt so much better that words couldn't even express, and the three doctors that took care of me were so kind and encouraging during my treatment. Wonderful hospital and staff.

Took our daughter to the ER with severe stomach issue. The doctors in the Children’s ER were great. Nurses and volunteers brought in stickers, coloring books, and an iPad (tv was not working) to help keep her comfortable. They were thorough and open to my input. We were in a room almost immediately after walking in. They were able to modify their plan base in my daughters needs. She doesn’t like needles or IVs and she wasn’t too dehydrated so popsicles worked just as well. Advocate for yourself and be respectful and you find it in return. Very thankful to the whole staff.

0 out of 10. It is not an ER it’s a chaos. You would be dying and they will be just checking if you are breathing. Very bad experience and rude personal. You can ask them a question but expect to hear only ‘we don’t have eta, you need to wait’ haha. So far the worst ER in my life

Advocate Lutheran General has very professional staff. They see patients based on the severity of each individual’s situation (which doesn’t always mean you are seen right away, others need them more at that moment). The staff is so kind, respectful, and attentive. I would highly recommend this emergency room!

It was horrible experience any parent can face, waited 8 hours in ER to be called front desk was very rude and adding other family of teenager with minor complaints into the list when young children been waiting for 8+10 hours. AFTER 8 HRS OF WAITING FINALLY OUR TURN CAME, INTERN NICOLETTE ALBERTI, DO STAPLED IN COMPLETELY WRONG PLACE AS CAN BE SEEN IN PIC. WE ARE GLAD BEFORE WE LEFT ER WE FIGURED IT WAS NOT RIGHT, ANNE MARIE ORESCANIN, MD SHOULD'VE BEEN PRESENT WHILE INTERN PERFORMED LATER MD ANNE TOOK THE STAPLES OUT AND STAPLED TO THE RIGHT AREA. I CAN'T NEVER IMAGINE HOW BAD MY CHIlD WENT THROUGH THE PAIN.. UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE STAFF!!

My Experience with this hospital has been horrible and I really have given this hospital in the pass high honors not any more some nurses are mean and way the staff handle people need much improvement they have gone down in my opinion and I lived across the street for years it was very convenient but even convince is nothing when it comes to treating customers they have to work on there attitude adjustments and I understand service and public I do I too work in that area but this is very sad time for classes again because this hospital 🏥 workers need it and also there is something going on with there policies hmmm🤔

No matter how much pain you feel, you have to wait for hours. And if you insist on being examined quickly, they threaten to kick you out. This is what kind of ambulance we have.
