I fell down on Tuesday Sept 1 and I rushed to urgent care provider who referred me to ER room and I came to this Hospital ER at around 7 p.m. with my daughter. They kept me waiting till 10:00 p.m then a doctor examined me and then without telling anything he just slipped away. We were waiting him to return and finally called him and he said that he was a trainee doctor and other doctor will evaluate my condition. We were waiting and I was in excruciating pain in my legs. They took my blood sample and finally escorted me to the ER room and put me on the bed. One doctor and her supervisor examined me, gave no treatment at all. Finally around 3:00 a.m. I was told by the supervisor doctor that I need MRI but no technician is available. So they released me by prescribing one medicine (basically kind of pain killer for me). I told them that you should have told me the same thing at 10 pm in the night and let me go why did you bring me to ER room when there was no apparent urgent need. I am otherwise very healthy and do not take any medicine on regular basis. Their actions were unethical and unprofessional of this noble medical profession. I am very disappointed and recommend that no one should visit this location,

My daughter had very bad pain at work. Ambulance took her to this hospital and told her she had acid reflux. She kept telling them no it’s much worse. They gave her a prescription and sent her home. We rushed her to another hospital 7 hours later. She had to have her gall bladder removed. Would highly NOT RECOMMEND Resurrection they have very low ratings

Sadly I can't leave 0 stars where 0 stars needs to be. My visit in the ER was ok until I entered my room. First the young man who was nurse I believe wanted me to change into gown while he's standing there, when seeing I was waiting for him to leave he left but came couple minutes later unannounced. Then Asian RN doesn't disclose what meds she's administrating to me. Her attitude is horrible. Then We have Dr.kristine wow she milking insurance company and is upset that I'm not playing along in her game.. She tells me Iwent against medical advice and she tells me to sign myself out BECAUSE I refuse to take COVID TEST. She never discussed my visit at all diagnosis, meds advice aftercare. She gave me just added stress .I let her know she was worst Dr. CRAZY.....

They wouldn’t allow me to be with my pregnant wife for her first ultrasound. Unbelievable. This is unacceptable and discriminatory. Men, it doesn’t matter if you’re vaccinated. It doesn’t matter if you provide a negative COVID test. It doesn’t matter if you work from home and have absolutely no contact outside of your home. They don’t care. Apparently new fathers have no rights!

I would not recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. I walked into the ER on September 15, 2019 with a bad reaction to an allergy patch under the instruction of the allergist. Brought in all my paperwork from Northshore (which is were I seek treatment for any medical needs since my traumatic experience). I even had the patch in a Ziploc bag for the Dr. I felt like my body was shutting down on me. My cognitive behavioral functions were not in order. I was however very clear in my symptoms and what the allergy patch consisted of. Somewhere in the process of being admitted they made an assumption that I had purchased the allergy patch at Walgreen. I was only privy to this information because they sent a crisis intervention worker into my room. I was in absolute shock, my body has just experienced a severe reaction and this just made me extremely afraid. I went to this hospital because my PC was here and I figured it would be convenient for him to have direct information. Needless to say I left with the attending Dr. throwing an alcohol filled swab at me because they refused to clean the patch area that had severely burned my skin. Alcohol? She suggested I go home and use it. Pure example why people do not go to emergency rooms until its too late. I never understood that statement until my experience. People are afraid of the sick care systems that have been polluting hospitals for decades. I go to work a few days later with my coworker looking at me like you need to go to a different hospital to get check out try Loyola. I was experiencing severe ear pain the following days. I go to Loyola only to get a look from the attending nurse as if I was a psychiatric patient. Fear overcame my body and fury for realizing what Presence ER did to my medical records. I filed a formal complaint with the hospital administrative department and received two letters. One with the initial investigation and a second apologizing to me and assuring me that they removed any psychiatric diagnosis. Tarnishing my medical file all because you have incompetent people working for your facility. Not surprised at the rising cost of care because of lawsuits and then the renaming of facilities to new hospitals to try an avoid paying. Disgusting!!! I will never step foot in here even if my life depends on it. I drive far to seek care but am treated with dignity and respect.

4 all gender bathrooms on the way to cardiology and none have a changing table for kids ..it’s sad that we cater to stupidity but not to the necessary needs specifically at the hospitals and outpatient clinics where all medical staff studied for years a obituary 2 genders!!! Shame

I can't express how grateful I am for this hospital. My mother and I were on a flight to bring her from her facility that does not support the hospice she needed in California to New Jersey where I had everything set up for her at my home. Unfortunately there were complications in the air and we had to emergency land in Chicago. We were met by an ambulance that took us to a hospital I was entirely unaware of but could not have been more blessed by them bringing us here. At first her survival was the most important and when I told them the circumstances they helped put her at ease as much as they could. In a timely manner they took us to a level that helps with comfort care which I am also truly grateful for as she wasn't in that same pain. I'll do a separate review for the hospice associated with the hospital but they so quickly took her Rainbow hospice so she could be cleaned and made comfortable and blessed. The expediency and care associated with this hospital cannot be matched in my eyes. Her passing was peaceful and dignified and that is everything I could have asked for. And up until that point I had professionals with great care and understanding. I appreciate everything greatly.

If I could give you ten stars I would. I had a quadruple bypass. From my family doctor, cardiologist, heart surgeon and Full ICU team down to maintenance and cafeteria, everyone went beyond and above their duties to make it is comfortable as possible.. Glad I selected this team. Thank you everyone, I am at home recovering well.

If zero stars were possible, that’s what I would rate this hospital. My 76 year old grandfather was admitted to this hospital and unfortunately was considered unstable enough to make decisions on his own. Therefore, the nurses insisted we sign POA ( power of attorney) that way we are able to consent for any of his procedures/ operations. Even after signing this document, the nurses continued to ask my grandfather if he wanted to proceed with any of the operations he needs, and they allowed him to refuse. What’s the point of us signing the POA? We were never once contacted about anything that was needed to be done, nor were we updated on his condition in general. My grandfather was at this hospital for 6 weeks and I never received even 1 phone call. They lack in communication over the phone and in person. They released my grandad and sent him to a nursing home, almost NON RESPONDING. If this hospital actually treated him and called us to consent for the procedures that needed to be done, my grandfather would still be alive to this day. … Besides the lack of professionalism, I could go on and on about the terrible patient care that was given but by the other reviews, you get the point. They simply don’t care about you, they work for their checks it seems like. After one day of being transferred to Lutheran hospital, he was back to being active and talking. Looking more alive than he did at Amita resurrection after just ONE DAY. He unfortunately still passed away, but if they actually did something at Amita resurrection he wouldn’t have suffered the way he did. Take my advice, don’t go to this hospital unless you want to die because they won’t help you.

My father was here after he had a stroke and it was the worst care I had ever seen. They put him on a ventilator and said he was blind and could not breathe on his own. The nurses were awful also, so we had him transferred to Northwestern hospital and he was able to speak fine and was even able to walk. He had some brain damage, however, he improved alot and mostly just had memory problems after a few weeks. Then in April I was hospitalized for a heart arrhythmia and the paramedics took me to Resurrection even though I wouldn't have chosen Res. They ran some tests, but never found out why it came on so suddenly. It took 3 cardiologists to figure out a medication I was taking was causing it that I'd been on for almost 20 years. I later found out I had a thyroid problem at my PCP. I don't know why they didn't do a full blood workup. When I told the hospitalist I felt something in my neck, his response was "that's weird". I was also given an MRI because they didnt know if I had a seizure or just passed out. They saw something in my brain and the neurologist refused to speak to me until the next day which had me panicking So the nurse tried to tell me what I had and she said lymphoma. Of course I was upset and confused as was my husband. I then looked at the results she had and it was a lipoma which was not dangerous. She should not have been the one giving me the results. Overall my last few experiences here have been awful and the treatment is much better at other hospitals. If possible, go somewhere else.

Received a call from this number today. I declined as I did not recognize the number, only to get a voicemail from someone who identified herself as a covering therapist for my "family member's" regular therapist at Resurrection Health Center. Tried to return the call and let them know they were calling the wrong number of their patient and the receptionist hung up on me TWICE. She yelled at me and said "this is a hospital" after I told her I didn't have the patients name because I was contacted by mistake. Not sure how somebody so rude could be answering the phones at a hosptial. I was only trying to do a good deed so they could contact the correct family member, who is not me.

If I could I would shut down this place. The nurses and staff are good the doctors on the other hand are a complete joke. My dad has been in the hospital for over a week and they still dont know what's going on multiple biopsies MRI's ct scan you name it . The doctors say they will come by and speak with you but instead just change medicine and order new test and you have no idea what's going on. They have been saying he will be released for 5 days now and change their minds last second saying they are waiting for results. They are busy stuffing their pockets and dont care about anything else.

I’ve never seen a dirtier or more disorganized emergency room in my life, and I’ve seen a lot of them. The curtain separating the patients in my room was literally stained with old dried up blood. The floors throughout the department were littered with bandages and syringe caps. The walls were dirty, the bed linens were tattered with holes and the trash cans were overflowing. The sink in the restroom was held together with duct tape. There was one Asian doctor named Chen, wandering from patient to patient, cracking jokes and failing to give the nurses directions. He failed to place the orders in causing a 3 hour delay in starting treatment. It seems that the corporation that now runs the hospital has chosen to invest all of their money in putting up new buildings while their ER falls apart. They prey upon Medicare/Medicaid patients who think they have no other choice, when they actually do. Run while you can and find yourself a better place for treatment. This place belongs in a third world country, not in Chicago.

My husband had a Cardiac Arrest at the O’hare Airport as we were waiting to board our flight back home to New York on 1/5/20. He was brought to this hospital as I was told it was the closest to the airport. I have nothing but praise for the ER staff from the moment we arrived. The doctors and nurses were efficient and all the appropriate test were done immediately. He was then taken to surgery to put a stent in one of the arteries in what seemed a very short time. He was intubated and was in NICU for over 11 days, and eventually was moved to a medical area. The doctors kept us appraised on what was going on and the nurses were experienced, compassionate and caring. I have only praise for the entire team and the wonderful ICU Nurses who took care of my husband around the clock. They also treated us with compassion and became our support system since we were away from our family and friends. God Bless the entire staff for saving my husband’s life! We are back home after 20 days at Resurrection Medical Center singing their praises.

Me and my wife were here for labor and delivery. The nurses are one of a kind. The nurses and doctors were great. One of the best hospitals we have been to. Food service is also great, have there own cafeteria were you can order food. Not one flaw about this hospital. Thank you so much resurrection hospital.

I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. The hospital itself is nice. However when it comes to paying for the services received they grossly over charge. I compared the prices of the treatment I received at this hospital to what other hospitals in the area charge for the same treatment. This hospital more than doubles the price of almost all treatments I received, compared to other hospitals in the area. On top of that, when I reached out to billing and asked for an itemized statement I only received one. I have been waiting for almost two months to receive an itemized bill. To make matters worse when I disputed a charge it again took almost two months to hear anything back. Only go to this hospital if you are looking to be over charged for each treatment/ test you receive. Oh and if you would like to beg them to get back to regarding charges of course.

When the procedures began, I was struck by the professionalism, cooperation, and adherence to procedures. After completing their task, each person reported its completion. This gave them the opportunity to continue working. It was obvious that they performed their tasks professionally and in accordance with procedures. They worked like ants. Then the treatment team took over. Same observations. They understood each other half a word. I felt taken care of, I felt I was in good hands. It was very calming for me, creating a feeling of closeness and trust in everyone taking care of me. It was a very uplifting experience.

I never had a issue with this hospital til I encountered the ICU Staff. They are disrespectful to the families of patients. They are lackadaisical, and will tell what you wanna hear to shut you up. They are persistently on their cell phones. I found an older lady who is looking up clothes to buy while working at the nurses station. Also the Doctors are in nurses station meeting room, with the appearance of doing nothing. One Doctor refused to answer a question when asked while sitting in the meeting room, while I heard him gossping about a patients family. I also found garbage everywhere that just gets left by the staff, literally on my family members bed. Do not allow your family to be in the ICU of this Hospital.

The emergency room ignored me and ambulance people. Once i was placed in a room.. The doctor wad attentive. I only wish i was examined for my head and back that also hit the ice when i fell and broke a leg. They patched me up and gave me sufficient pain meds. They did their best. Sent me home with a referral. Feeling very indifferent about the ecperience. #BlessedBeessedBe

The ER was a mess. Security guard attempted to put a number system in place which made even more of a mess. It didn’t have to be that difficult. Made people even more uncomfortable and confused than they already were. The extra star is only for the triage nurse who was working her butt off the only one I saw doing everything. There was absolutely no system in place, it was a disaster. & I left feeling like I wasted my time. Never got to a room was just shoved in multiple places waiting for hours with no answers. Never seen anything like it.

I would’ve given this hospital a 0 rating if I could’ve. My brother was admitted to this hospital and I went to visit him in ER. Right when I entered and went to the reception where there were two nurses sitting in the reception while I’m literally standing in front of them they didn’t even ask if you need assistance they kept talking with each other. Security guard assisted us to guide us to the room my brother was in but he was very rude. Treatment wise my brother was sitting without oxygen which he needed for hours without any assistance. And the lady next to him kept scream for pain killers cuz she was in so much pain. Bunch of patients were in the hall laying on sofas without any treatment seemed like they were passed out. We transferred my brother out from this location. Please don’t ever go to this hospital if you need immediate assistance!

I went in 2 times in 2022 4 days apart with heart attacks. If not for the emergency room staff and then the staff of the icu units , I don’t think I would have been able to write a review. I especially want to thank all concerned who worked diligently to make sure I was taken care off, you guys ROCK!! I also want to thank the nurses at the cardio rehab unit, they are invaluable so much that I have signed up for ongoing sessions, they ALL rock !Thank you all, Eddie Sanchez❤️🙏

I had an allergic reaction at a nearby street festival. I was handled with such remarkable care, concern and caution. And highly efficient swiftness. I'm overly impressed, especially in light of the fact that I'm forced to go to another local hospital for care when arriving by ambulance. That hospital, which used to be thought off as the best hospital in our area , now, to put it bluntly, sucks. On many levels the hospital is too: large, busy, impersonal and its ER doctors are disrespectful and careless. Having said all that, the support staff which keeps any hospital humming, were all equally great. Go back to Res, people. Especially for emergency care.

We are very pleased with all the doctors, nurses and staff that we met at Amita Resurrection ER and we are so grateful that we have these quality providers near to home. Everyone was very nice, and it is wonderful to be treated so well since you are the patient in need of help. Caring, smiling and laughing is good atmosphere for patients. We will continue to come here when need. Thanks for being there! Georgi Nikolov

My husband was brought to Resurrection after he went into cardiac arrest at O'Hare. The ER doctors and nurses were amazing. His heart stopped again in the ER and thankfully they were able to revive him, stabilize him and get him to the intensive care unit. He's still there but the care he's getting in ICU is outstanding. Thank you for saving his life!

I ended up in the ER for a fall that I had a week ago. The security guard to the attending physician and everyone in between, Thank you! They are so professional, tentative and caring. I could get a blanket on right and a patient care advocate noticed and came right over to help me. I waited awhile, but the care that I received was exceptional! This is the place where hero’s are born!

I spent 8 hours in the ER last night with my 87 year old mother in law. She was left to sit for 6 hours in a wheel chair in a small room not much bigger than a closet. It took hours for someone to come to even do the blood draw. No one ever came in to see how she was doing. I had to keep asking for updates and was just told they were extremely busy. She was only seen by the triage Doctor when she first came in. When she was finally brought to the back she was seen by nurses. The staff were all very friendly which is what the two stars are for. The system they have for handling patients is extremely inefficient. I called and left a message for the nurse manager but have not received a return phone call. There has to be a better way to care for sick people!

I have an appointment for a colonoscopy tomorrow 10/30 and while they sent me home with instructions to follow for the procedure, a lady called me today (seemed like she was being bothered by having to call a patient)and gave me the wrong instructions. She told me that I could eat until midnight. My instructions said DO NOT EAT...LIQUIDS ONLY the day before my procedure. When I called to verify a lady named Linda picked up the phone. I told her I was confused on the instructions... before I could tell her why she said "what did the paper say" very rudely. Once I explained why I was confused her response was 'I would be confused too". How about next time you let the patient explain before you respond so rudely. I am so tired of bad service in the health industry. I have 6 nurses in my family and they are top notch in their field, due to personality, knowledge and hospitality. These nurses I spoke with could use a little refresher.

Absolutely the worst emergency room. We've been here at least 4 times in the last 2 years because my mom lives around the corner. It's never less than 7 hours. Last week my mom waited for 13 hours and then an additional 8 hours wait for a room. Can you imagine being 72 and being in that ER bed for 14 hours? This time we're here and she's being admitted AGAIN and we've been here for nearly 7 hours again. The first doctor (Dr. Rifenberg) had NO bedside manner and was flippant and rude. When I showed an emotion he got snippy. I said "She's being admitted. Im allowed to be sad about it". And then sat outside the room laughing about how the patient in 9 didnt like him. What a putz. It got worse from there. They then took a covid test stating that they can't take her to a room without it. They didn't do that last week. She came up positive. No symptoms. No fever. No contact with humans for a week. She's housebound. So if she actually has it...then she got it from this hospital whe. She was here for 4 days last week. As a mom of 3 and the daughter of a sick mom who has many health issues, I've been in emergency rooms more often than I can count. This was the worst. Hands down. But I expected nothing but the worst from Resurrection. And before you say "why go there?", it's where the ambulance takes her. Steer clear.

I arrived at the emergency department this morning via CFD Ambulance 47. I fell on sidewalk ice and could not walk. I needed help. The ER staff was wonderful. At least two doctors, two nurses and a few additional staff did what they could to reduce my stress and pain. Specifically I want to add my appreciation to the man that took me to radiology, the woman that made the X-rays in the room, the staff in the radiology department and the security man that took me out to the car. This has been a very positive experience. Thank you.

This place is a joke. I grew up going here and it just keeps going further downhill, I thought with Amita it may get better as they seem to be doing a good job with Alexian Brothers. My Mother spent over a month here back in 2012 and they could not diagnose her Lymphoma until it was end stage in that timeframe and she passed three days after that diagnosis that they had all that time to figure out. The staff is overworked and rude. My father had a heart attack two years ago and was unfortunate to have it happen on a Saturday night which they did not even diagnose the heart attack, just put him in a room until a cardiologist came on Monday- at that time they did an angiogram and called me 15 minutes in to it to get consent to do open heart surgery as they accidentally perforated his artery. Tonight he got taken to the ER- for a good half hour while they could not even locate he was there I waited in the massively overcrowded COVID filled waiting room with minimal precautions taking place and watched someone pass out and it took them nearly five minutes to get to them. When they located my father they gave me a phone number to call and an overly patronizing receptionist told me the nurse is too busy taking care of someone else and would need to call me back. Patiently waiting outside then as there is no reception in the waiting room was only able to get an update after encountering a group of nurses outside smoking who suggested I keep calling and finally got an update from the resident on duty. DO NOT let them take you here or go here by choice!! Lutheran General is very close and so much better.

Two things just stood out to me about this hospital 1. It’s not kept clean in the public areas. 2. It just does not seem “professional “ I had no problems with the physicians or nursing staff at Amita but the support staff, and medical techs , x ray techs just didn’t seem competent. My gut feeling told me to go elsewhere for any thing other than in invasive routine tests. So I chose another Hospital and now have a PPO not an HMO But I think this also reflects a trend I see in health care : cutting corners , poor pay for everyone but doctors, a lot of low paid para professionals and support staff who just don’t care about customer service.

I came here two times. I was very impressed and satisfied with my experiences especially with my moms experience downstairs in the Illinois Cancer Center all the ladies and doctor were very nice and sweet. First visit was for me in ER, the nurses and doctors were very nice and attentive. From the nurse that checked me in to the two doctors that saw me during a busy day everyone was genuinely nice and kept apologizing for any delay and thanking me for my patience. I really want to give 5 STARS AND A GREAT APPRECIATION TO LARRY WHO DID MY CAT SCAN PLS GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE OR SOME APPRECIATION. From the moment I went in with him for Cat scan he made me feel so comfortable I was shaking from fear and cold he gave me a warm blanket and reassured me I would be fine nothing to worry about he talked to me until I calmed down and talked to me through it whole time he kept conversation going and was SO NICE even made me laugh was super professional u can really tell he knows what hes doing and enjoys his line of work. I also want to mention how my ER doctor called me the next day to just see if I was ok and make sure everything was still ok WOW! super surprised and grateful very nice of this hospital and service.

I can't even begin to say thank you to the amazing doctors, nurses, and staff. I am very grateful to them all for taking excellent care of my mom. They took great care of her, treated her like family, they always kept me informed of everything and there was a lot. They are angels and I feel blessed with her care she got she is doing so much better. I tell everyone about how amazing Ressurection hospital is. Thank you💞

After Wednesday's experience, we will never go back to Ascension Resurrection. My husband went to the emergency room with chest pains and shortness of breathe only to be told to take a seat and wait. Noone came to ask him how much pain he was in or about his breathing. We waited 30 minutes for my husband to be called and registered. They took him to get an EKG done and put us in a room that we waited for almost an hour for a nurse to come in and ask what my husbands symptoms were. We told them when we first came in and when we registered. Then we sat in the waiting room for 3 hours until someone came out to take him in for x-rays. Then another 3 hours to be called so that they could draw blood. Then we were told we had to wait another hour for the blood results. The only time we ever saw a doctor is when my husband got up, frustrated and irritated, went up to the nurse station and told them that he was going to take the IV out of his arm because he was tired of waiting for someone to talk to him on what was going on with him. My husband had symptoms of a heart attack. Thank God nothing actually happened to him because otherwise he would not have made it. People in this hospital we're not concerned of anyone's health. We were all told to just get in line, sit down and wait, we're short handed, you've got hours and hours of waiting because we don't have enough staff. We have never been to a hospital where the employees kept saying over and over that they have no staff, that employees are quitting on a daily basis. A lot of people being rude and no empathy what so ever. Never again will we ever come back here.

I was treated very well at, Ascension Resurrection Hospital. I was admitted on, January 6,2024. Every person that I encountered, nurses, doctors and technicians, took their time and said something positive. They all were happy to help, and weren’t in a hurry to run out of my room. That is a rare thing. Ps. The E R staff, was very. kind also. That’s a rough profession. God bless all of the Nurses and Doctors.

When you offer the option of leaving a callback number instead of waiting for a representative for 20+ minutes it would be nice if the receptionist actually called instead of skipping ringing and going straight to voicemail. Your ratings are accurate of the mediocre and lazy service provided.

I delivered my first born here in September and as a first time young adult mom you’re so nervous that the doctors won’t listen to you in your most vulnerable moment but the nurses and doctors here made my recovery and delivery successful with no epidural I proudly say. They were so nice, very on top of everything and teach you anything you would like to know about your new baby and lactation. Also I forgot the sweet lady’s name that gave my daughter a new knitted hat and knitted blanket to keep her warm but I will never forget her! Thank you for caring for me and my new family. We appreciate it all. Even down to the pediatrician here Dr. Auglia and her office as well, very nice & informative!

I chose Resurrection for an endoscopy / colonoscopy procedure. First experience with both - and I was delighted with the care and service. My registration was all completed online 4 days before I arrived. On the day of the procedure, I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled arrival, expecting somewhat of a wait. Instead, I was welcomed into an open room, and the professional care team went into action. Each person I met with was cordial, professional and efficient. Before I knew it, my anesthesiologist was telling me “I’m going to put you to sleep now,” and then I was in waking up in recovery. Within 20 minutes, I was ready to go. Total time at the hospital - 100 minutes. I have a follow-up endoscopy in 2 months, and will definitely return to Resurrection for the procedure.

I got to be a little biased here this hospital would be my closest one if they weren't non-union. Yeah I have to go to the one north of here thanks :( This is also the reason I hear so many emergency cars on Harlem next to me. At least this hospital is trying I see tons of people in it though just by looking at streetview.

Still as bad as I had heard 30 years ago! Rude nurses of color. Had to question them on everything my husband needed in order to get it done. Nurses dropping meds, calling husband wrong name while handing him his(hopefully) meds. Not getting the exercise needed to not remain on oxygen the rest of his life! Even had to threaten to get an important device hooked up. I wouldn't bring my dead dog to this place!!!

Excellent care from my primary, CT staff, ER staff, to my 5th floor medical team, including physical therapy team. Their care help me to understand and plan for my recovery. Thank you all for your support.

Variable satisfaction here. From great doctors and nurses to having no TV in the room for 72 hours because “the only guy that’s authorized to fix it doesn’t work for the next three days.” Nothing like staring out your window at the backside of a hospital for three days well nobody you’re smart enough to go grab a TV out of another room after you suggested that I’m having them say “we just don’t do it that way, sorry.” My favorite however, was listening to a floor nurse telling the other floor nurse that it was “her time to be the charge nurse for 4 hours” and have that floor nurse say “I don’t know how to do this,” followed by her say “neither do I but we all have to take turns.” I don’t think anybody’s gonna be happy there, because they were spending a lot of time complaining really loudly about things to each other in the middle of the night. Classic.

I’ve been at this hospital for a week with my mother and all week Monday thur Friday we have had a great experience with all staff 💓 but over the weekend it’s a whole new ball game the nurses are not on point. So overall 3rd floor nurse Belen is the worst. But RN Keith and PCT Courtney was great thank you but if hospital will like to contact me by please do

I give all the staff 5 stars! The staff are wonderful!! However, it’s the bathrooms on the whole first floor of entrance 3 main hallway by the Cardiologist Department are very sloppy! There’s either no toilet paper, nor paper towels, and no soap! Plus there’s always water all over the floor! It seems there’s a lack of cleaning crew on duty!!

Went to the ER with my wife who was having pregnancy problems, they told me I couldnt go into the room with her, even after her attending told her I could be in the room, he made me wait and whenever I tried to speak to him, he waved me off, made a clearly fake phone call, or just simply turned around and ignored me. John, the ER nurse, told me that I should have married someone "in my own race". That has gotta be one of the most untrained/unprofessional ER staff around. Be careful coming to this location if being with loved ones is important to you. Otherwise the staff was great, doctors, attendings, even the nursing staff inside was all accommodating besides John

I’m fairly new to a neighborhood that is in close proximity to this Hospital. I had to go to the ER but when I googled Hospitals near me not one had really good reviews. Not one. So I took my chances with this one I must admit it looked pretty abandoned due to the construction going on. I mean I couldn’t even find the ER you have to drive all the way around towards the back it was night time, dark and this Hospital looked sketchy. But I must say even though this Hospital doesn’t look like much from the outside the Staff here is very professional, knowledgeable, compassionate and hard working. This Hospital is a hidden gem. Like the saying goes never judge a book by its cover the quality of the Medical Staff here is Top Notch.

Called to talk to a nurse regarding a medication for my dad, and the nurse at the end as she confirmed me the medication was at the pharmacy. I say thank you and she just rudely hangs up without me finishing up the other thing I was going say to her. Nurses are supposed to be there to fully help. Not to be rude to people. If you don’t like your job simply don’t be a nurse.

A nurse named Natalie according to the security agent she’s been racist to my wife and my son because my wife wears a hijab ( Muslim headscarf ). As soon as my son arrived to the facility by ambulance she started making remarks and screaming and cursing my wife because my son (4 years old with history of heart issue) was not wearing a mask. She put them on isolated room and threaten my wife to call security guard upon her if she opens the door. there excuse was a mask because my son was coughing and refused to wear mask because he can’t breath even tho it’s not required anymore she kept insisting and lying. After she kicked them out and even she tried to take my wife’s phone when she tried to call me. The security guard at the time was lying all the time and covering up the nurse behavior. Upon arriving there I confronted here and I asked why you did that to a cardiac kid ?,After I asked here because she’s Muslim. she started laughing and mocking, and told me she doesn’t care at all I asked for here name and no body want to give it to me and the security guard denied my entry inside and kept me outside on the cold weather. Once admitted inside one of the doctors seems like didn’t want to treat him and he started to arguing that his oxygen level were ok and the other clinic there oximeter broke and i told him that I tried on my self and the numbers were accurate but he he kept insisting that it’s not accurate. I’ve been to so many hospitals since my son was born due to his heart issue I know how the protocol they use with him every time he’s been admitted. I called a nurse and asked her to put him back on oximeter again and I was right he had a low oxygen level and since I’ve never seen that doctor. Another doctor took care of him and my son now he’s been hospitalized since then. At the end from a racist nurse to a lier security guard to irresponsible doctor it was great journey. Stay away from ER at ascension resurrection at this location

I love the doctors here my issue is more on not keeping the areas clean. They also have temperature stations in the front so people can check their temps before entering further HOWEVER the person at the front desk isn’t even paying attention to make sure they just aren’t walking in. The lady in the picture was just standing there not knowing what to do.

If you don’t mind having to wait extremely long and asked to be waiting and seating for very long like a government hospital then this hospital is for you . I was there for ultrasound radiology and there were 6 people just sitting for hours . I wish I knew this earlier I would have left for another hospital for my ultrasound but since I already fasted all day today I have no option but to keep waiting . Horrible ! I came here cos they had the earliest appointment for me. There are many Amita hospitals in Chicago and suburb skip this government hospital

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I wouldn’t take my dying dog here. Disgusting had pee and blood stains all within the er bathrooms. Doctors and staff are terribly rude. Ask you questions like why didn’t you go to other hospitals and they don’t carry the magic cure. I’d really like to know we’re these people recieved their PHD AND BSN, you can be a good doctor but terrible at making people feel better and that’s one of many things you need to learn BEFORE becoming a doctor because people aren’t sitting in the er because they want to

Took my spouse to ER for an emergency appendectomy. From the person who sugned us in, to security guard, to nurse inside ER, all were incredibly poor at communication, and even downright rude. It was not so busy. There was no excuse for rudeness and not bothering with the next of kin.

I have been a patient here for quite some time in the past, and now many of my family members also have. When I was in the hospital for 2 weeks, it was not a terrible experience as with some other hospitals I've had to go to. All the staff were friendly, and seemed to truly care and want to help. No one likes going to the hospital, but if needed this is not a bad place to be.

Reserve the parking spots close to the building for the patients instead of having us walk the entire length of the lot. All of the cars parked near the building belong to employees.

If I have to die I will not visit your ER again. Tonight I came in with extreme chest pains on right side. From 4pm to 620pm I was registered, seen by a doctor had an chest xray done told blood would be next. At 625pm I recieved my chest xray results via amita mychart I read the results on my own, was told by text message have an ultra sound at 645pm but where? No one could answer me. Then some male nurse I had to ask him what is going on with my blood work he said I am in line, what Line they are taking people over me. Ok So I wait than he comes back at 640pm takes me to the ER to change and sit in a bed. I ask for what he says blood work and more, excuse me I told him the Doctor said only blood to be drawn I do not want to sit in the ER bed for hours. He and another guy said ok than sit here and wait for a Doctor. (So Rude) at 8:09pm no one has come to see me I hear people screaming from the room next to me and I ask a hospital employee if I can get some help she tells me ask over there. Well at this point I left, I would never recommend this place to anyone, They keep you there purposely for hours to collect insurance money. You all in the medical field need to be ashamed of yourself there are very good medical teams out there and some that I feel just got a diploma on craigslist to work in medicine. This was one of the worst patient treatments I have had and I have been in and out of hospitals all my life. Thank you very much for the worst medical treatment in my history of hospitals and Doctors visits.

I went to the ER on 2/24/23. The staff was very nice. Dr. Jeffrey B. Gordon was very understanding and explained everything. I just want you to know excellent Doctor and hospital. Everyone who came in to see me was very pleasant and told me exactly what they were going to do. I was not in there long at all. Thank you to Dr. Gordon and the staff for taking care of me and my needs.

Most unprofessional rude staff I’ve ever come into contact with. They are rude even when they answer the phone! Went into the ER a few days ago and the doctor wanted to inject me with unnecessary medication without knowing my results first. Just got my results back today and they were all good! So glad I trusted my instincts and refused the doctor. So much more happened that I just can’t write. Never ever going to this hospital again.

Having a relative here for over two weeks, the room furniture is absolutely horrible for visitors, your best to bring bag chairs from Wal-Mart. Garbage and uncomfortable for the amount of time spent here.

I gave birth to my 3rd child at this hospital and everyone was amazing. My 1st I had at Northwest Community, my 2nd at Lutheran General and Resurrections staff is the best. Unfortunately, on the day I was discharged I dealt with Lety, a nurse who I had previously had at Northwest Community. She has terrible bedside manner but thanks to the rest of the staff I will continue to recommend this hospital.

they seem to have some issues with referral handling and communication with insurance and patients. I got a notification about an unpaid bill by the Insurance after 2 years! no one has communicated with me about this issue before. I advise everyone to be careful everyone who use services of this facility.

I do martial arts, so I've been to different hospitals. In USA, Germany, Poland. I've been here almost three days. They look after me like some kind of diplomat. There is an immediate response to every call. My every request is taken into account with a warm smile. There is constant supervision and emergency service in case of anything. Asking if anything is needed. On the first day, two serious tests on which my fitness depends. Repeat the next day to be sure! The first hospital where three doctors spoke to me is impossible in other Chicago hospitals. They explain to me why it happened, what each of the tests is for. Ladies who are not doctors and take care of me are always smiling and very nice. LAI IS ESPECIALLY WONDERFUL AND NICE. 4 FLOOR . IT'S A PICTURE OF LOVE. I don't have insurance so I was advised how I can get a discount. I don't wish sickness on anyone, but if anything is wrong with you, I recommend it with a clear conscience! Jakub Anklewicz

I enjoy being here when i gave birth to my 10.8 pound son they made sure they took care of me and helped me with healing. They had nurses that would just check up on me every 4 hours.the bed was comfortable but they dont have a comfort couch for your partner to sleep on but i do recommend giving birth in this place because the nurses are nice and the food is decent.
