This was a nice - if slightly run down - park to go to when I was a kid, but ever since the Army Corps of Engineers redid the northern portion facing Foster Avenue as wetlands it became much, much more than that. I've always liked Park District properties facing the Chicago River, and this takes advantage of it in ways that now make perfect sense. Be forewarned that this area floods during heavy rains, though, so plan accordingly during those times.

It’s a nice small local Chicago park, good place to make a walk, the north branch river cuts along it, and it’s well lit at night, and a baseball diamond, a floodplain You can find some toads, raccoons, squirrels, skunks in the park, some ducks and geese And some cool native Tallgrass

Lovely field of wild flowers that has a creek running along side it.

We love this local park... to play, splash around, run over the river and through the marsh preserve path, and even sometimes stop to shoot hoops on the black top. We also really enjoyed a special concert of Youth Mariachi in the park this summer!

Deb Augers yoga class held at Eugene Field Park is the best! A great class for those not looking for a hectic fast flow through various poses. Not a punishment for your body, but a great self care class :)

Really beautiful park with the north branch of the river running through it. Nature reserve is a wonderful place to watch birds and other critters. See raccoons, skunks, cardinals and more!

Nice place to play some baseball or softball when you want. Sometimes there are games going on which are pretty nice to just chill out and watch too. But the fields are big enough for my friends and I to play some softball when we want to and have a great time.

Without the 5' fence I'd give it 5 stars! Could you imagine a nice well designed bridge over this? Maybe a little design competition? Would be nice, but for now, how about a 42" high fence...

I absolutely love this place. The way this park is situated brings so much greenery and nature to the surrounding community. The staff is amazing. I love it so much I send my kids to their after care and day camp. Highly recommended for their programs!
