I have a service dog and I was prohibited by the cashier from entering the store(today21th august), he was super rude to me and my husband! Service dogs are obliged to be accepted by establishments, train your employees better, I will never enter this store again.

Always fun, always upbeat and we always find things we didn't know we needed. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and there is so much interesting stuff to look at that time can get away from you. At this latest visit we got some wine, some imported biscuits, some English chocolate (yum!)and a charming little gift. Next time it might be soup bowls and Christmas wassail -- who knows? It's always an adventure,.

I absolutely love this store. The staff are usually very friendly in my experience. They have such fun things here. I most frequently visit the food/snack section, because I love trying new snacks and candy from other places. Ive also gotten some of their soup mixes, all have which have been delicious. The kitchenware is also a lot of fun, and if I had more money, I would buy so much of it!

Bought a couch from this World market location this past week and not only is it such a comfy high quality couch, but the customer service sealed the experience. Doug the night manager was so helpful and patient. We had a lot of questions and he answered all of them with a smile, and helped us carry out the furniture the next day. 1000% will be coming back and will recommend to anyone. Doug you are awesome, thank you so much!

Manager and staff are rude and unhelpful. I asked for help because I just lost my father. I am moving my mother in with me and she really needs a comfortable chair in her room to make it feel more comfortable and because she has back issues. I called to see if they could help her by bringing the order out so she would not have to wait. The person who took the call kept repeating her questions, as if she was not paying attention. She asked me my name three times, item number three times and had me repeat that the item was a swivel chair several times as well. I told her that this was becoming frustrating. I asked if she could hear me OK. She decided to pass me onto her manager. I asked the manager if she could hear me OK. They told me they needed 15 - 20 minutes to look for my order and call me back. I replied that my Mom is on the way and asked if that timeline could be expedited. I fully realize appreciate that it may be busy and that I am not the only customer. I specifically asked if I should just have her come back at a later time. My goal is to minimize the wait time for my mother who just lost her partner of 40 years, because running even the most basic errands can be an extraordinary task after a loss like this. My disappointment comes from the poor communication from the store and lack of empathy. I was asking for a favor due to circumstances. They not only did not listen to me, but made no effort to help. Now I will have to return to the store for a second time. In the scheme of things, not a big deal. However, I live 30 minutes away and specifically selected this store because they had the item available for same day pick up and like I said above, even the smallest errands are difficult after the loss of a parent.

I originally had an unpleasant experience, but then the store manager, Laura, contacted me to share my experience. She was very understanding and made sure I was satisfied with my store experience and purchase. Not only that, she was very kind and personable. I will definitely be coming back! The store itself was very taken care of and they have so many items, that you're bound to walk out with something you love.

In the store now and there are at least 2 or three people working here walking around but only one cashier... it is taking forever. I love World Market, but they have people sign up for rewards in line and it really slows everyone down. They need to work on a better system and customer service. Not really pleased.

A unique store with kitchen supplies, food and wine. Also home decor items. This is a great store for when you need inspiration for a gift. City parking garage across the street or street parking

Drove 30 minutes to get here, paid for parking, only to have the store closed 3 hours early for 'weather'.

We love going to World Market; I've bene patronizing these establishments since they were still called Cost Plus. We live in Rogers Park and have been all over Chicago searching for Torani syrup, and World Market is the ONLY PLACE with a WALL of Torani syrups; that's the main reason we go there but we also love the variety of other foodstuffs, and are always surprised and pleased that their wares do not cost a fortune. Their inventory is eclectic without being haphazard, and that's a fine line ta walk successfully. Bravo. There are always seasonal wares, so they're worth checking out frequently, as one never knows what lovely treasures one may find there! The staff is always friendly & professional, even in the face of cruel, entitled bullies, and that's a hallmark of excellent service. Be aware that they do NOT validate for the parking structure across the street; only the AMC does that, as far as I know, but also, parking in Evanston seems to be free on Sundays, so keep that in mind when planning your excursions!

Nice place with lots of options from food to furniture and almost everything in between. I took one star off because a lot of the items seemed a bit costly so shop wisely.

This is a fun store to be in and shop at. We always visited different locations. You find candies to foods to soaps, jewelry from around the world. Drinks like wines, beers & Spring Water, Coffee's & Teas from different places around the world. A few years back we bought a fabric covered stool didn't match the chairs in the front room. But still being used. dishes, Tea Cups & Saucers, Bath Rugs to curtains. Mason Jars & Pocky. These are the things we bought from here good quality items for your home. Funny Google Maps said it wasn't buzy inside. We parked over in a parking garage across the street. We were there inside World Market for 3 hours. We loved coming here after the movie's. The Century movie theater is next door. I hope they open that back up. Anyway we had a great day we will be back.

Definitely recommend this place for great movie snacks, including European chocolate. They have gluten-free snacks, too (especially blue corn torilla chips with flaxseed). World Market sells furniture and excellent quality home decor items here. Employees are helpful and welcoming. I would suggest to bring your own bag since their World Trade Market bags cost around $3.
