So this is a bit of a odd story. But first I must say clean rooms, ac worked, good general facilities. It all started before we arrived. We had asked for a quote for the taxi from the airport to the hotel from them which we didn't get a reply to before we got on the plane ($50top per person we the eventual reply) So when we got of the plane we got into the first taxi that wasn't fake and the car looked good ~25top each When we got to the hotel they we confused as they had a driver still waiting for us at the airport...... we never confirmed we wanted their service merely enquired. Later thier taxi driver arrived at the hotel and proceeded to have a small debate with us which I explained thier misunderstanding. This is where it got a little odd. We got told that we could fill up our bottles by staff at the tap in the courtyard behind a wee gate later this was locked/shut. The owner would prefer you buy thier expensive bottled water. We wanted to call a resort Island to make a day trip booking and a staff member dialed the number for us then told us to come round the back of reception to take the call(I thought this was a little odd but hey staff told me to) Halfway through this call the owner started a argument with me about I shouldn't be back thier. He was propper fired up. I calmly told him i would like to finish my call and it would only take 30 seconds max. More argument took place. Eventually I finished my call and then explained to the owner how this had come to pass. He wasn't impressed regardless... Their was a small gate off the end of the stairs we would use to exit and enter which was easier than walking through the middle of the restaurant. After a few days a lock appeared on this Gate which made us walk through the middle. Several more small odd things happened that I can't fully recall but all and all a bit odd eh.

Beautiful place!!! Stayed here for 1 week with my partner and I loved every bit of it! The staff were so nice and welcoming. I loved how every time we went out and came back the staff smiled and greeted us so kindly. The food here was expensive but worth it for us. Also liked the location, close to town and right across the beach. Its a must to book the sea view rooms!! Beautiful to watch the sunrise and sunsets. Definitely recommend to anybody looking for accomodation in Tonga.

Best Italian restaurant in Tonga 🇹🇴 😁 I came here for dinner and I had a beautiful experience! The owner is Italian and the food is authentic. I tried only the pizza, which was very good. I hope to try the pasta too next time! All the best for you guys

50/50 . 5 star for the food. But the service 0 star for me. I’ve been here 3 years ago and the service was not great , thought it changed but it’s 2024 now and still the same , I had to wait for an hour for just a bottle of water and waited another 40 mins for a takeaway box . Very nice location great view but I dislike the service.

["This place is located on the water front with good ocean views (only rooms facing the ocean) and a 5 min drive from the town center. Stair access only. The room was clean and tidy and bed was comfortable. Well air-conditioned. The rooms themselves are basic and bathroom is basic and a little rundown. Hotel staff were all very professional and service was good. Food options for pizza and very large menu.",null,[0,236]]

No room phone… reminded the receptionist every day in the 4 days we stayed to have a room phone but she keeps forgetting until we check out. Still no phone. Every day we have to ask for bath towels they only put one or none at all during the 4 days we were there. Because of no room phone we have to run downstairs every time we need something to tell the receptionist… very annoying and inconvenient… food at the restaurant super slow … we waited up to 2 hours for orders most nights… not coming back here anymore… 👎

We love the location no doubt about it! However, the service is horrible except for one person who's name is Mana. He's the only one that greets you, knows the menu pretty well, he's not shy to serve or work, he's energetic and always smiling but the rest of the staff seem not to care. We love Italian food but the service is keeping us away...they need more Manas.

Beautiful stay and very convenient location. Room for 3 ocean view, was definitely worth the money. Staff were lovely, accommodating and always smiling. Tried the restaurant and LOVED THE FOOD! Worth every penny because Tongan portion sizes are big. Definitely getting more than your money's worth. Things to note: No elevators, only stairs to level 2 and 3. Close to road so you do hear the cars. Stairs can be slippery when wet so be cautious. We did have a couple slips. Overall didn't dampen the experience. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Lovely comfortable clean rooms. Get a room with a balcony which faces the water, a beautiful view. Staff was very helpful in every way. The downstairs restaurant serves delicious pizza with handmade crust! If I return to Tonga, I will definitely stay here again!

Shared a smoked salmon platter (for 2) for entree - LOTS of salmon, and delicious together with the pizza bread, so I didn't mind so much that this was my second choice, Mediterranean platter not being available. My first choice of main, Calamari salad, was also not available so settled for Mixed Seafood Salad, which had a lot of cubed potato and tomato, and one lettuce leaf. Husband had Gnocchi which was deliciously rich. Expected the service to be a little more friendly and professional than it was? It was a June Tuesday and lots of customers, both local and visitors, were ordering massive pizzas so maybe that's the way to go instead.

I enjoyed a good sleep here and great feed, comes up to the ratings for the pizza, the salad we had was fantastic. Rooms had a good view and comfy beds. The bathrooms were clean it maybe a little dates. Breakfast was also a highlight. Uncomplicated car hire was great. The guys and girls were warm and super friendly. We will be back :)

The first night after my wedding and was the first night of my honeymoon they put me and my husband in the wrong room. The next morning they gave us the key to the room we was supposed to be in🤦‍♀️ but I'll say the rooms were neat. We tried for room service and they don't bring food up to your room you have to go down to the restaurant and pick it up yourself.

This is concerning the food: Decent pizza and salads, but the service was pretty slow. That being said, I really appreciate the ambiance and would be interested to try the rest of their menu.

Following the Cyclone Gita, most of Tonga lost power (and therefore most establishments were unable to open) for weeks, yet Little Italy were able to continue almost uninterrupted service to their guests throughout this difficult period - despite increased business from overflow of other establishments. Very impressed at the effort made by Management to ensure guests remained unaffected. I've been a regular guest at Little Italy since 2016, usually for 7-10 days each stay. Great location on the quiet and picturesque Vuna Rd waterfront - close to town, and has coastline walkway ideal for morning walk/run. Comfortable rooms, the Ocean View rooms have an excellent view! All staff are friendly and professional, and have a great attitude. The breakfast offering is great (fresh fruits, basics, etc. included free). Great evening dining, with a comprehensive Italian cuisine menu - they are also able to bring the meal to your room. The kitchen is accommodating of requests. I have only one suggestion - complimentary water (at least one bottle per guest per day) should be supplied in the room fridge every day as it is not recommended that you drink the tap water in the Pacific Islands.

Little Italy is the best place to be when visiting Tonga, not only the location close to town but peaceful in the evening time. We love the restaurant as well, great food , great service and most of all we get more for our money. We will be back again soon. Thank you

I spent 3 night in this cozy litlle hotel with restourant. Realy enjoined. Rooms are above 3 stars rate with AC and Wi-Fi. Italian style food is top and place is very popular amongst locals. Friendly stuf. Good job Angelo. Regards Don

After confusion over my room booking (my agent's fault), got to room and wondered about the unusual scent. Disappointed to find half a pizza rotting in the desk drawer. Was nice enough. Easy walk to town.

Our stay here was great, we stayed for 10 days. Great experience. Breakfast was free, but I ended drinking and eating coconuts, and papaya from the markets. I liked the free WIFI. Enjoyed morning waves waking me up in the morning and the sunrise.

I went to dinner with friends and family. Very welcoming and clean. Good selection of food and drinks, i liked the Italian wines. The seafood salad is a must as Tonga has islands, enjoy the fish and atmosphere.

I stayed in Nuku'alofa for five days and really enjoyed my time in "Little Italy". The location is perfect and quiet, you can easily walk to the center, the rooms are clean and nice, everyone tries to make you feel very welcome, the staff is super friendly, and the restaurant has delicious meals that you can enjoy overlooking the ocean. I highly recommend it! They also helped me in a difficult personal situation without hesitation and with a lot of warmth and dedication. This is not to be taken for granted and shows that they really care about their guests.
