An excellent meal. Great to enjoy local beer on the balcony, watching the sunset before the meal. Plantain bar snacks were lovely and the snapper, lobster and octopus absolutely fine dining. A genuine, friendly team and would definitely go again.

We wandered down here for something to eat and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food. The chef definitely knows what he is doing! Drop down for some happy hour drinks and stay for dinner. You won't regret it!

Outstanding service, great restaurant, excellent room. We stayed a week, during which staff helped us find and book various meals and activities around Nuku'alofa. Frankly, one of the best hotel service experiences I have had in the Pacific (noting that Tongatapu isn't usually considered a tourist hub). People make the place and this is a great place.

A lovely 4 night stay. Quiet, comfortable, good food, convenient location, everyone friendly and helpful, whether in relation to booking changes or helping to organise day trips including a really interesting full island day tour, an excellent kayaking and snorkelling day with Tim and another day at an island resort. Would happily stay again.

Seaview is a gem of a place to stay, with super-friendly and attentive staff who deliver on pure Tongan hospitality. The room was clean and freshly made up, and the restaurant convenient, providing great food, and across the road a nice stroll next to the ocean awaits. The homely and relaxed atmosphere created at the lodge speaks of dedication and commitment to providing visitors the best experience one can hope for. Will stay there again on the next trip!

We recently dined at Seaview Lodge and had a disappointing experience. Our evening started well with friendly service and tasty starters (sashimi x 3, garlic bread and lobster cream soup). It quickly went downhill when our main courses were not cooked to our specifications (T-bone and sirloin were cooked well-done instead of medium rare). We requested one meal be re-cooked and were met with refusal from the chef, who reportedly got angry and threw the meal away, expecting us to still pay for it. Despite apologies from the waitstaff, the chef's attitude left a bad taste in our mouth and we left feeling unsatisfied with the service. I would not recommend dining at Seaview Lodge, especially if you expect any issues to be resolved professionally."

Recently renovated, this was a real positive experience. The rooms are very clean and everything works - especially the air con which was a God send! The staff are wonderful and extremely helpful and go out of their way to be helpful. To top it off, the food is great - try the schoggi mousse.

Service was good. Some of the dishes were a bit hit and miss. Bonus points for the homemade ice cream and unusual flavors.

One of the better places to stay if you're not into the big resort - stayed here when on business. Owner operated and very friendly. Conveniently located near the city central.

Went for dinner under the new management and it was very memorable. New menu and new staff. Food was so delicious. You can taste local and foreign food there. Yummy.

Just with full load of disappointment. In seaview suite for 2 nights with 540 TOP per night. Online advertising free internet connection but internet connection was horrid with low band waves and needing voucher to log in each time, 250mb. Felt so frugal and poor throughout the stay. Promised breakfast online, with only very basic coffee and toasts free. State of the art TV cannot work at all, guess only for display. Workerz, some were friendly and a few showed their worst ever sour face. Could be overworked or needing a payrise. And a few more weaknesses can't say too much. In comparison Tanoa International a few block down the road, just a fraction of the price, the service, food and customer service are highly rated. Not to forget internet connectionwas good!

The happy hour is excellent value the drinks are super strong so be warned! The food with happy hour is also a very good value and pretty good. Dinner was dissapointing. It was quite expensive but very mediocre food. We would go back for happy hour but not for a meal.

It was a great stay. The room was perfect, the food is yummy and the staff is awesome. I had a problem with my passport and they helped me to sort it out. So glad that I stayed there. Thanks!

We were not lucky enough to stay here, but we had a dinner, and that was divine! Mouthwatering meals, a great variety of vines, and good prices too. The overall impression was very good.
