Came here because it had 4.8 stars. Pretty clean upon entering. Food gross. Over cooked carnitas, rice was hard and had been sitting, I asked for onions and peppers they were cold. The pic is what I left did not eat another bite. Worst place for Mexican, at least this location. The restroom was dirty as well.

The food is great. The prices aren’t bad either. However, they don’t give you a decent size portion. They usually tend to skimp on the portion size when you’re paying all that money you know for food you expect to get that much and they seem to skimp on a lot of things unlike before, when they first open, they would mound your plate and give you a whole heaping full so it overflowed. Now not saying you have to give that much but just a little more then you currently give. You gotta go to to much, but a decent serving size.

In recent months at their Hudson restaurant, the quality of their take out process has been awful. While I am told that it is a 20-30 minute wait, every time I show up to pick up the food, the order has been lost or I am forced to wait an additional 15-30mins. Today is Sunday, and I walked out while waiting for the first time and I do not intend on visiting this restaurant again…despite the fact I have been a VERY loyal customer since their opening a few yrs ago. Their food is great….but I am done paying more $$$$ for less service and longer waits. Who wants to spend their Sunday afternoon sitting & waiting an hour for a simple order and paying a 20% tip(at the time the order was placed)? Proper staffing might help… -Dave D.

The place has been here for a while and I never stopped before, tried going this past Cinco de mayo and there was a long line, and so I gave up. But I came back the next day, because long lines waiting for food at a restaurant usually means good news, and I was correct. I came back the next day, then again today,I actually tried going back last night as well but it was just past 9pm and they were closed. It hits the spot, simple and cheap, and I dare say probably the best tacos in the region, maybe Lawrence to get something like this. The meats are cooked when you order right in front of you in the open kitchen. They were juicy no dry meat here, and the tortillas are toasted fresh as well right when you order your dish. I already have plans to go back all next week for my lunch break, it is 100% worth to try this place if your are looking for some tacos. I tried all 4 types of proteins with the tacos, fish, chicken, steak, and carnitas (pork). I got most the soft tacos, but I did order a burrito bowl as well. My favorite was carnitas, then streak, fish, and chicken get 2nd place. There are no 3rd places here. Edit 8/12/2022: still excellent! Huge line at lunch

I’ve had California Burritos bookmarked for several months now, always waiting for the right opportunity to present itself and today was the day. As first timers we were enticed by the pictures with fries (Carne Asade fries), their specialty fish tacos, and papusa with everything (not pictured unfortunately… we consumed it immediately). We were blown away by the quality, portion, and harmonious flavors of everything we ordered. AND it was so affordable, with that amount of food we only spent $25. Anticipate a bit of a wait if you see a line (5-10 mins), but so worth it as your food comes out fresh, hot, and delicious.

Food is delicious. Workers were very polite but maybe understaffed. Waited in like for over 45 min to order. We love their papusa and the authentic environment.

Stood in line for 20 minutes while watching the staff completely ignore the customers in the long and growing line. They did not serve a single person. laughing and joking behind the counter. Zero acknowledgment, they could not have cared less when people started walking out.

Love this place….great food and great prices. They need to have a separate line to take care of take out orders. Expecting people to stand in line inside the restaurant for over 30 minutes while they make take out orders is ridiculous

The food is Pretty cheap, though not big, ok tasting, food is never hot, and they don't tell you what specific toppings are available, service is slow AF, don't like how they ask if you want "salsa, cheese, or guac?" when salsa and cheese are free and guac is $2 more which for a chicken burrito comes to over 25% more on your bill.... They should tell you guac will be $2 extra.

California Burrito is better than most of the other burrito chains. I like how they re-grill your meat/selections so the burrito comes to you warm. Other than that, it plays similarly to Chipotle and other competitors. Its worth trying.

The food is amazing, all of the severs are pretty nice, if you go there The fish tacos on a crispy tortilla are a great option

Once again, I fell into the call ahead trap....like most places you call in and the order is ready when they say. But I think, this place simply expedites your order when you check in to pick it up. This is the third time this happened to me. I order and pay online, they say about 40 mins. , I go to pick it up (tonight 5 mins late) and I wait for 10-15 additional minutes. However, this time I got home and our food was cold. So was it the method, probably not this time, it was most likely a lack-luster approach at fulfilling an order that I have now waited an hour for. The food is great when warm. The call ahead service sucks in almost everyone of my personal experiences.

Great place, food is always fresh and delicious. It can have long line and quite busy; also need to pay attention to ensure the food packaging is correct and you have been given all the items ordered.

First of all let me just say the food is amazing! Service: Online orders continue to take priority while 20+ paying customers standing in line wait and watch. Today, I called out the woman that takes orders and she stopped looking at her little screen and took our orders. Bravo!

I have grown to adore this location. The staff is really kind, and the cuisine is excellent. I've never had an issue with the cleanliness of their restrooms. This is hands down the best takeout option in my area. Their guacamole and carne asada fries are also excellent.

Amazing food seemingly made fresh. Pretty amazing guacamole and seemed to pick up after I ordered with my buddy. Definitely would come back. Also, their Tres Leches is amazing. I don't think they make it in house but it is the perfect amount of sweetness.

It was a little hard to order vegetarian with the language barrier. But we got through it and the food was great. It feels like a more authentic Chipotle.

Forget Chipotle or any other Mexican restaurant! California Burrito is the BEST Mexican fast food restaurant around. You won’t be disappointed. Don’t forget to try the Papusas! Delicious 🤤

Absolutely love this place. The people who work here are so incredibly nice, and the food is delicious! Every time I’ve needed to use their bathroom, it’s clean. Definitely my local go-to place for excellent takeout. The carne asada fries are awesome, and their guacamole is top-notch!

Cafeteria style and service with a smile. The portions will leave you over satisfied, don't forget to add Cilantro and squeeze of lime to your meal for the full taste experience..yummy.

Extremely slow service, did each customer 1 at a time, with 5-6 People behind the counter. This is just a problem that needs to be in a flow state. Once you get a strategy going of how to take care of each customer as fast as possible, the productivity and profits will increase. Many people leave while in line because the wait is just too long. Chipotle does Multiple orders at a time, so it’s possible.

Food here is awesome. I usually get the vegetarian tacos. So very good. Tres leches cake is fantastic as well. Takes a little longer to get in and out of there than places like Chipotle but the food is way better

The food is very solid here and it’s reasonably quick , but something there are quite long lines at the counter. On the upside, you can customers here as you lie and it’s lower priced then most. Salsas are good and spicy. You can do a whole lot worse going to Mexican food in NH

My first time visiting here and I must say not bad at all.. I will definitely be making return visits..
