Used smart scan, was then checked and told an item I had scanned had not been scanned for ยฃ1.15. Made to put it all through till to check it. Get home and check my receipt and find that they have charged me ยฃ8.65 for donuts I did not buy! Just complained and sending me a gift voucher, but in future make sure you check your receipt before you leave!!

Whilst it has what you need the store itself is showing it's age and isn't as bright a shopping experience of newer stores in the area, Couple this with normal slightly higher Sainsbury's costs it does have you wondering what they do with that extra cost. As its most definitely not spent on general store improvements, which enhance a shoppers in store shopping experience.

Nice selection but can never scan coupons or gift cards at the checkout, always have to ask for someone to put them in manually. Staff is very helpful and friendly though.

We went to look at the new season clothes for my mum and niece on Saturday, late afternoon. We were able to park close to the store in patent and child parking. This was handy because mum has mobility issues. There were plenty of parking spaces. The store was cold. Very cold. Not just in the clothing section, as we did wander to the toys and stationary aisles. My mum did scan and pack. This worked fine throughout our visit. The clothing racks were fully stocked and laid out well. We did not see any items out of place eg random sandwich left on shelf (we know who you are ๐Ÿš”). The traditional till area has been reduced to allow people to scan their own shopping. Disappointingly I saw only one member of staff serving at the till points. This meant there was a queue to be served by this lone employee. It made me wonder what happened to all the other till staff, but I could see that the majority of customers were in favour of being served by an employee instead of scanning shopping themselves, because they were willing to wait in line to be served. Fortunately, Sainsbury still accepts cash.

Cold, rundown, toilets stink so badly that you can smell them in half the shop - this has been ongoing since before the pandemic. Very understaffed, the self service machines are ancient and very slow / don't work. This paired with sainsburys prices makes it the worse in Haverhill

Ordered a deliver. The order didnโ€™t arrive! Iโ€™ve waited 12 hours after being told the time had changed only to be told at 10pm they canโ€™t deliver and now have no slots for tomorrow! When called customer service 4 times I was robbed off and lied too and cut off! Disgusting service! Even worse customer services!!

Generally decent store, though it is on the slightly pricier side. I enjoy coming in and getting my Nectar deals.

It's closer to my place. I go there to buy clothes and fruits and some bakeries. Good environment and feeling like home fordrinks

Never visited this branch before. In Haverhill area so called in to buy tinned grapefruit which is one of my favourites. Not too busy here and shelves were well stocked. Easy car parking.

There was a difficult customer in front of line, staff handled situation without making things worse for other customers in queue. High praise to staff involved. Store excellent.

It's a Sainsbury's, I'm not blown away but it has everything, was well stocked and the queues seemed to be managed well. I visited the in-store Argos and was pleased with the service, it was quick and the lady that served me was super nice. Only niggle was that, try as I might, I couldn't find the biscuits!!

Only 4 stars because very little is perfect - myself included! Stock levels are very good and staff are courteous and knowledgeable. C&C was very useful in lockdown

A mid-size supermarket. OK for an occasional visit, as have some different things to Tesco, but not my first choice of supermarket.

Love the variety of clothes in this store. I have been shopping here for a while now, and every time I come here, they have new items that I like.

Store is very tired and old-fashioned! It could do with a complete refurbishment! Stock always seems low and hardly anything on the shelves! Also, at the same time, please install some electric vehicle charging facilities!

Reasonably satisfied, but they don't always have everything I require.

Appaling service, delivery booked for 12-1pm, not here so called only to be told they canโ€™t deliver as staff off sick. No call or message despite seeing a van drive by 1/2hour later

Good selection, bit pricey, bakery is the best of all other supermarkets. Have to be there around 9 till 1 l. Otherwise the bakery items will be out of stock.

I like this store and the smart shop phone app is really good and sometimes the items you normally buy are marked cheaper. And you can check out faster then waiting for the normal way you pay.

Disappointing, as we come here a lot & usually find that it's good. Lots of bare shelves tonight. Virtually ALL the trolleys in the carpark. Wasn't impressed by customer service at self service checkout either. Come on guys, some people are still coming in store!

Large selection of tu clothing. Staff always been helpful and can mostly find what I need. Prices seem to have become quite high in comparison to others xx

Each time I've visited this store, it's been extremely quiet. Handy to have Argos in store and TU clothing range is quite big.

๐Ÿ‘ Good branch of M&S in the heart of the town. Yes, it's expensive in the store but you get what you pay for. Food second to none, decent quality clothes. They could be a lot more fashionable admittedly, but this is M&S. It generally caters for older generations.
