We stopped here for lunch last week. We have visited this pub for dinner and Sunday roast on a few occasions. The lunch did not disappoint. We had the beef and horseradish and BLT sandwiches and it was bloody delicious 😋 good quality thick cut beef, and the bread was slightly toasted. Both also came with Tortilla chops and a small salad. I had tea which was a full pot with TWO teabags (so lovely and strong and piping hot). Our waitress was new, her first day in fact, lovely and friendly and answered any questions we had. I love beef and horseradish sandwiches and it's very rare to see it on a lunchtime menu. Highly recommend, good value for money, and we shall definitely be returning. We sat by the log fire as it was a cold day ...... perfect .... but very difficult to leave!! UPDATE: 27/2/23 .... had dinner at this lovely pub last night. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves, but sad to see it so empty. Once again, the food was first class, freshly cooked and piping hot. The young ladies that served us, and behind the bar, are SO friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Staff are all friendly except housekeeping staff are poor. Restaurant food was excellent & the food prices are good. Not happy with continental breakfast & no clean plates for the second days b/fast. Had only one hand towel & one bath towel which were not replaced on second day. USB sockets didnt work. We had the smallest room possible with an almost empty inn.

The mains were delicious, unfortunately they had no mint sauce on a Sunday at 1pm which was strange, and also didn't write down one of our orders which added a but more waiting time but the staff were very apologetic. The brownie for dessert felt like it had just been taken out of the freezer, which was basically a brick, which was disappointing. Would definitely return as the mains were fantastic!

Great place with good food not overpriced, menu choice was varied which gave a lot of choice. The service was excellent and we wasn't rushed. Great place if you want to watch football. It's dog friendly too.

Went here for Easter sunday lunch, was OK not the best roast I've had, the Lamb was very fatty and chewy, hardly any roast potatoes, just 3 tiny ones which didn't seem roasted. Orderd cheesecake for pudding which wasn't a traditional cheesecake. Staff seemed nice and a nice enough pub.

I love this pub. The food is so incredible every time. Recently stayed in one of the rooms and had such a good night sleep, bed was super comfy and clean. All the girls are really friendly. Great pub.

Went here to try somewhere different. And we weren't disappointed. Steak and mushroom pie was delicious. As was the Chicken Tikka eaten by my hubby. There was no room for a desert! Staff were very helpful, polite, and courteous. It was lovely sitting near the big open fire, especially as the weather had turned cold. Will visit again. And would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was excellent with ensuite. Very clean, decoration good. Lovely surroundings nice and quite. The food was excellent well prepared and cooked. Very dog friendly, giving our dog a sausage for her breakfast. The staff were very good as well.
