We stayed at this hotel as we were going to a family party. The bed was super comfortable. The room itself was quite basic but had everything I needed. The bar was open late and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

Room on 3rd floor with no lift working. Room was good with effective heating and kettle. Tap in bathroom not fixed. Good shower but tray took a while to clear through drain. No hairdryer or iron think you had to request at reception. No idea of times for breakfast etc. Breakfast was good but you had to pay for WiFi? 30 mins free.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Check in a smooth process. All staff welcoming and friendly. Only ate once there, plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced. Staff knowledge of local area, attractions and other places to eat excellent. Would definitely stay here again

Good parking, check in and out easy and quick, room clean and comfortable. Dog friendly hotel which was good, but not allowed in the bar area. However staff accommodating and able to take dinner to our room. Average price for dinner, dinner was average but okay. Room very hot but was provided with a fan. Staff friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Rooms are basic as expected, but clean with comfortable bed and nice shower. No hairdryer so bring your own. There’s a bar and sitting area with TV and also has breakfast/meal facilities. Didn’t have meal so can’t comment but nice range for light breakfast, didn’t have anything from grill. Location excellent for me as had business in Haverhill. Two comments, woken during the night with lots of banging room doors with guests coming and going, the doors need heavy duty spring closers and there’s no AC in the rooms so prepare to sweat in SE England heat.

Staff were very friendly, amenable and approachable. I had a breakfast and evening meal and the food was very good, and exceeded my expectations. The room was also very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the shower worked perfectly. Everything I wanted from the stay was met, what more can I say!

We were given a room with facilities for disabled customers, which we didn't need. The bathroom was not very clean, the seat in the shower was bad, no way had it had a decent clean for a very long time. We couldn't wait to get out of the room. Carpet needed cleaning. Definitely not worth what we paid and would never stay there again. Lift didn't work, ceiling tiles missing showing ducting etc in corridor. Staff were very polite and breakfast OK. Overall its a place to avoid.

This would have been an overall 4 star review had we not had huge issues with our room key! We were working 18 hour days and getting back to the hotel at around midnight absolutely exhausted and for 2 nights running the key did not work. The lift was also out of action and they laughingly put us on the 3rd floor so up and down the stairs multiple times after a long day. Also got locked out the whole building every night as they keys didn't work to let us on. Nightmare! Breakfast was okay, very basic for the £9+ per person. Bacon was awful and like one big lump so not sure how that was cooked but everything else was alright. Towels were not changed nor the room serviced during the 3 day stay which we thought was very bizarre as normally maid service happens every day.

We stayed here one night. There is plenty of free parking. We were greeted on reception by a young friendly lady who made our check in nice and smooth. Not some food options weren't available on the menu but that wasn't a problem. The room was nice and clean with tea making facilities. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Rooms good but no air con. Fan provided. Menu for dinner very good, breakfast OK. Lift out of service when we visited, had to take cases up to room. Located on the outskirts of Haverhill, car essential.

A new build travelodge that is exceptionally clean. Onsite bar/restraunt. I was able to park my vehicle within sight of my room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and plentiful.

What's not to like. Clean, spacious rooms. Great service & such friendly staff. Location perfect, but still close enough to town.

DO NOT COME HERE DURING SUMMER. No rooms are air conditioned and the staff does not provide adequate solutions for a boiling room. The room has one tiny fan which is not enough to circulate air. The room is absolutely miserable because it is so hot. We had to go out and buy a fan to even be comfortable enough to sleep. There is no ice machine. When we asked the staff on what they could do to help us they were extremely dismissive. We begged to eat our food downstairs in the air conditioning but they would not let us, even if we bought food from the cafe. To put in perspective: the outside and hallway were much cooler than the room itself. The room was filthy. Stains and sticky spots on the floor and curtains. Bathroom was covered in hair, dirt, dust, and god knows what else. Room is tiny with little space as well. We knew coming in that this is a cheap hotel but the conditions were even below what it’s worth to pay.

Quite run down in places. My room 118 bathroom, the tile rubber edging by the toilet was away from the wall and filled with what looked like dust, fluff all matted together probably by men missing the bowl. Shouldn't the cleaners tell maintenance. All that said, the reception staff and especially the lady during breakfast was excellent and deserves an award. Breakfast morning was the 21st August so you know who it was.

Top floor. Lift not in use. No airflow through room, uncomfortably hot room. Loads of parking. Overall, it was clean and maintained well. Good walk-in showers rather than the climb over a bath like most other travelodge.

I was pleasantly surprised with how comfortable the room was as well as the quality of breakfast in the morning. The staff were very welcoming too. Plenty of parking. Cannot fault the place.

A good affordable hotel with basic rooms, short on towels and toilet that doesn't flush properly was only reason for not 5 stars, also lift not working throught stay. Food was good.

Rooms are basic, but has everything you need and is good value for money. We stayed for Easter weekend and the staff were brilliant. Nothing was too much and they were very helpful with our grandchildren when they came to visit on our last evening. The breakfast is buffet with a bit of something for everyone. We would definitely stay again.

Reception area, Bar area and Breakfast areas were absolutely freezing...apparently the air con was broken and they had a couple of electric heaters scattered about, which provided absolutely no heat whatsoever. Sat in the bar area with a fleece and a coat on and watched my breathe freeze right in front of me 🤬 We are regular users of this particular Traverlodge, but on this occasion, we were seriously unimpressed.

Would highly recommend, had one of the quietest nights sleep in a hotel for a long time. Very clean, nice staff and a good breakfast as always from Travelodge!

Not a good hotel. Of all the people working there, only one young female had the decency to smile. The lamb rogan josh I ordered was swimming in water, but luckily, there is a restaurant very close by. The rooms need a re-vamp, eg, heaters hanging lop-sided & loose on the wall. Doors not closing properly. Will not be re-visiting any time within the near future.

Pretty large and spacious rooms. Breakfast seems to be a pretty good selection and nice general lounge area as well. Good place to rest after a weary drive. Shower also pretty spacious but water strength insufficient. Worst point is internet is not included and even after paying will only support a maximum of 2 devices but when connected, second device bandwidth was very bad; internet itself isn't great either so would recommend not paying for the internet if possible.

Clean, comfortable, everything you may need for an overnight stay followed by a good breakfast.

Dreadful - beds were uncomfortable, room was too hot but unable to leave the window open to to persistent noise from adjacent machinery (or possibly parked up lorries). Other guests came back at quarter to three in the morning shouting, swearing and slamming doors, others were not so bad but triggered light in the corridor which shone through the large gap beneath the door. The rate for staying on a Saturday night is also exorbitant - essentially paying more for pretty much guaranteed poor sleep. I will be looking to stay somewhere else next time I’m in Haverhill.

A warm welcome on arrival, rooms were excellent, breakfast was fine for a buffet breakfast but the evening restaurant was a disaster area. Many items on the menu were not available, and those that were available the staff were not able to cook properly or provide accurately. After waiting forty minutes for meals that were our 3rd choices we were told they had burnt the one and only available portion of garlic bread, no apology. Yet most of the meals were only warm, none were hot so how they managed to burn the garlic bread. And the kids fish fingers didn't even come with the requisite number of fish fingers, by which time we just couldn't be bothered. After the mains we were left with a table of dirty plates waiting for dessert, when we went to reception after waiting over 25 minutes we asked when we would get our desserts we were told we hadn't asked for them. At no point we're we told we had to go and ask for them, and they wouldn't be served as a matter of course like in any normal hotel or restaurant. At no point was there an apology from the evening staff it was just excuses and what appeared to be embarrassed laughter. However the daytime staff were absolutely amazing, so a very mixed review.

It's really quite annoying cos I can hear air conditioning noise very loud in my room. Now been here 5 hours. There is no respite. It just drones on and on. Room is fine, staff are fine , food fine. Wanted a quiet room. Aargh!

We were greeted by the receptionist, Kerry Butler who was extremely polite and helpful with check in and ordering food and drinks.the beds were very comfortable the room clean and the evening meal was tasty and hot as was the breakfast we enjoyed our stay

Stayed last night very helpful and polite stuff especially the young lad he was sound! The only thing I can fault is I had a do not disturb sigh on the door as it was a wedding and the maids or cleaners was really loud and woke me up which wasn’t to impressed with be loud and making a racket outside

Nice big rooms with comfortable beds. £3 a day charge for wifi is a bit tedious. Helpful staff. As you might expect the bar is over priced and soulless. Breakfast quite good but you pay extra.

Lovely reception staff, hotel very clean and tidy. Restraunt and bar situated on ground floor. Room was big with modern bathroom. Very clean tidy and smelt very fresh. Beds comfortable only down side you get a lot of noise from lorries on the main road. Over all good hotel. It served it's purpose.

Massively improved from my last visit, now offering breakfast, as well as evening meals at a reasonable price for 2 courses. The staff were superb even helping in taking some food to my wife, who had taken ill during the day, despite room service not being a service they officially offer. The rooms, for the price, were very reasonable and fully stocked. I've never seen a brand so improved from very basic to now being better than other hotels in this price range.
