Well what can I say about this place dreadful ,do not care about you as a person with issues at all . They sent me a letter saying due to 6 missed appointments they are refering me back to my GP making it look like I have not turned in for these to my doctor which is totally untrue. They cancelled half of them on the actually day and they actually sent 2 dates for the same appointment and one of them I did not even know about, regarding the 3 I cancelled I actually called them to let them know I was not well ,and they state if you have a cough please do not attend so then you cancel and still your punished for it. I feel totally let down by these people here no care at all for what you go through its all about a tick in the right box for them sad but true

Dreadful service. Never call when they say they will. Don’t do what they say they will. Shockingly bad! They are supposed to be helping people with mental health issues when they themselves causing more stress and anxiety.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the other reviews. This place is dangerous and its malpractice should be investigated by the NHS. Stay away from Dr Fernandez. Lack of interest, reactive attitude. He is probably there just to list clinical experience on his CV, not because he cares about patients.

I thought the service was great. I'd been seeing the same doctor for over two years, she was great and got me on the right meds. We spoke about future treatments in my last session and she informed me that she was leaving so my new doc would continue that with. I had to rearrange that appointment but I never received a new appointment, I just received a letter from the new doc fobbing me off to my GP because I missed one appointment that I wasn't aware of. I'd always kept my appointments before that so I don't think a call or letter enquiring into why I missed it would've been to much trouble.

Malpractice suit coming their way. Will update when over. I will say, that if you're asked if a student be allowed to be present, decline, because what they actually mean is can a student take and lead the appointment. Also, know your rights. Record every session that you have there, you do not need permission or an agreement to record the sessions, you don't even need to tell them you're recording it. I wouldn't tell them, that way you can show evidence of malpractice, grossly unprofessional and abusive treatment.

My experience over the last few years has been fairly decent. Of course they are some staff who don't care and just want you to leave ASAP, but the majority of staff are decent and professional. Part of the problem with these reviews is that they are many different 'teams' at Union House, and some of these teams such as the crisis team, are horrific to say the least, and hence "Union House" gets the bad rep. Hence my positive review is really for the CPFT Locality team at Union House.

Some very worrying experiences whilst a patient here. I think they work directly with social workers. I fear for my future and the affect they may have. They interfere with everything. It’s distressing for someone who had hoped to receive help or support. Their ethics are shoddy and their care non-existent.

I've been in the system for well over a year now, I thought I was getting a good service at first with regular appointments and therapy sessions that seemed to be going well. I was then put on medication for Bipolar Disorder and I feared that I had been mis-diagnosed, I called them up to arrange another appointment with a new psychiatrist and they told me that I wouldn't get an appointment as soon due to covid (I was fine with this) I waited a few weeks and stopped taking the medication as it was making me sick and suicidal. I got a letter though nearly 6 months ago saying I was now eligable for an appointment and to wait for another letter confirming an appointment, I waited around 3 months and called, I couldn't get through (i tried every day for 3 days to try and get through) i called again around 2 weeks ago and was told someone would get into contact with me, they never did. I called again yesterday and was promised a call back but alas no call AGAIN. This Mental Health "service" is appalling, they never answer the phone on any of the extensions, they never call back, it takes months and months for anyone to acknowlege you're in the system and when they try and "investigate" why you haven't heard anything , you never hear anything until you have to eventually call back because they've forgotten. On another note, they rarely (if ever) actually listen to your needs, they just give you medication and send you on your way. As a Mental Health Service you'd have thought they would try and help rather than cause more unnecessary anxiety.

Dr Fiona Mackie has been helping me, and she has honestly helped change my life for the better. She is a credit to Union house and all those in her profession.

I'm shocked by the lack of skills and professionalism I've experienced in my so called 'therapy sessions' with Dr Kassia. This is not therapy, and she keeps asking me what we should do in the session. I'm not there to structure her work, that's her job. Also she interrupts me to ask about technical things with complete lack of empathy . I've booked an appointment to see a proper therapist who I've heard ra ing reviews a out. I'll pay for therapy as the NHS don't seem to provide real therapy at all. It's a joke, left me feeling frustrated, ignored and awful.

No treatment offered. Rude and uncaring staff. Can’t remember her name, but I saw a lady in a wheelchair for an assessment. She didn’t even ask for the forms I had to fill in, they’re deciding whether they’ll see you prior to the assessment and only seeing you because they have to.
