There is nothing about this clean, well-cared for area and town that my family and I do not love. The park is rich in history and beautiful, and the pathway and boardwalk connect it to a beautiful marina. A great, easy stroll through shaded paths and open areas present many opportunities for photographs. Spend some time here. Although the original French pronunciation of the Towns name has long been lost and replaced by something that doesn't quite roll of the tongue, it's rich history and stunning location are still preserved

Wanted to get out to see some water on a beautiful day and made a spontaneous road trip. My son and dog were along for the ride, and we all enjoyed our visit. There was a garden event wrapping up, so visited some vendors. Parking was easy and free. Beautiful area and gardens with a wildlife promenade right beside the water. No dogs allowed on the promenade, but mine is a service animal. She loved seeing the water, animals, and people. There's a marine museum, park, docks for fishing and boating, and a fresh air restaurant with casual food. Really nice small-town family atmosphere with beautiful sights.

I see most of the pictures of this place are on "sunny days" but for our experience, it was a gloomy and rainy day, however, I want to show you the Lighthouse it's beautiful rain or shine. We had such an amazing day and experience there, even when it was raining, it was a great time. This historic place it's not only great place to walk, run, chill out, fish, learn about Flora/ fauna of the area, history of Harve the Grace but I also can see this place as a wedding venue, photoshoot area, proposals and to learn about the culture of the area. Don't miss out on this beautiful area and walk! I highly recommend it 🔥🔥🔥

Nice part of history on the Chesapeake Bay. Lighthouses were an integral part of the coastline for Maryland and many other states. You take a winding staircase and then a ladder to the top.

Every time we come to Havre de Grace we visit the Lighthouse! It is such a great shop for family and friend get togethers! You can fish off the pier and there is a path that takes you to the local grille and playground! Such a great spot to relax and take in the beauty of Havre de Grace!

Dog friendly. Beautiful Lighthouse area and park. Has a nice boardwalk with pretty views as well. Parking was easy luckily and quick. Enjoyed a few hours here, sat on bench and watched couple ships pass thru! Calm and relaxing place to hang out. Recommend coming here for sights and history

This lighthouse protected vessels from dangerous waters where the Susquehanna River traveled 444 miles to meet the Chesapeake Bay. It was originally lit by 9 whale oil lamps with tin reflectors that could be seen from 8 miles away This spot is where British Forces attacked the city from the sea and destroyed the city of Havre De Grace Maryland during the war of 1812. The lighthouse keeper was one of the heroes in the defense of the City. President Clinton and Vice President Gore gave a speech here in 1995. This place is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The area is beautiful and there are always events held during the warmer months of the year. The park and it's surrounding area is a great place to play games such as Pokemon Go, as there are always people out walking around. The area can definitely get cold in the winter, as the wind blows right onto shore without any breaks. Would recommend everyone take a stroll here.

Very very cool lighthouse. They let you go inside and explore the lighthouse. The area was very well kept and grounds were clean. The museum was free and the gift shop had affordable prices. I highly recommend!

The Lighthouse is the second oldest lighthouse in Maryland, built in 1827 and the symbol of Havre de Grace. Didn’t have the chance to climb up though.

I recently visited the Concord Point Lighthouse and waterfront area in Havre de Grace, Maryland, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Historic Charm and Preservation: The Friends of Concord Point Lighthouse have done an exceptional job preserving this historic landmark. The lighthouse, built in 1827, stands as a proud symbol of Havre de Grace. It’s fascinating to see a structure with such a rich history, and the volunteers are incredibly knowledgeable, offering educational tours that are both informative and engaging. The Keeper’s House, also restored and open to the public, adds to the immersive historical experience. Scenic Beauty: The location is absolutely beautiful. Situated at the point where the Susquehanna River meets the Chesapeake Bay, the views are simply spectacular. The waterfront promenade is a perfect spot for a leisurely stroll, offering panoramic vistas that are particularly stunning at sunset. Community and Events: The area is more than just a historical site; it’s a vibrant community space. The lighthouse grounds are a popular venue for weddings and special events, adding a touch of historic elegance to any occasion. The sense of community and dedication from the Friends of Concord Point Lighthouse is evident in every detail, from the well-maintained grounds to the engaging tours. Visitor Experience: Open to the public on weekends from April to October, the lighthouse and Keeper’s House provide a wonderful outing for families, history buffs, and anyone looking to enjoy a piece of Maryland’s maritime heritage. The volunteers’ passion and knowledge make the visit worthwhile, ensuring that each visitor leaves with a deeper appreciation of the area’s history. In summary, the Friends-Concord Point Lighthouse and waterfront area is a must-visit. Whether you’re there for the history, the views, or the community events, you’re sure to have a memorable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Havre de Grace. Cheers!

I just stopped here to see the place where the susquehanna dumps into the Chesapeake bay. Spent an hour on the nice trail seeing some wetland areas and historical markers. Made for an interesting and beautiful stop.

Beautiful views while walking around! Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the water. Lots of history! I went on a day when it was not open so I didn't get to go inside, but still recommend going just for the grounds!

Very cute little place, you can even go inside the lighthouse! Worth a visit for all the family, although little ones are not allowed inside the lighthouse as you need to use a ladder to get to the very top.

This is a nice place to take a walk and enjoy some local wildlife. There is a trail with some plaques about local history, so it could be educational for children also.

Such a beautiful area. I love taking a drive over to see the lighthouse when I have the time. There's also a nice lawn to relax on and plenty of benches to sit on. Not too crowded and always a clean area.

We went to Havre de Grace on a Saturday. The lighthouse was lit up at night, and the bay breeze was very peaceful. Not crowded at all either, but definitely couples and families walking around the area and along the promenade. It was lovely!

👍👍 This trail is a great mixture of natural trail and wheelchair/stroller accessible. The trail is set up in a loop.
