What a gem in the heart of Kona! This place is tucked away, and one would almost avoid this place because it really has no parking and it's tucked in a small corner on the side of the road to the entrance to the Resort. Totally worth the stop, my family, who live in town, go here weekly, it's a total local spot with a beautiful patio seating that feels very private. You will not be disappointed, the food is fabulous and the prices are not outrageous! Highly recommend the fish and chips, their tartar sauce is homemade and delicious!

I do not know how this place got such a high reviews, but my experience wasn’t nearly half good as the review. I ordered fish and chips and my friend ordered Cajun fish wrap. The chips were so greasy, my first bite was literally drinking the oil out of the chips. The fish were way over cooked that the meet is too dry to eat. I will say the coating is very good and crispy, but that was the only good thing about the dish. The Cajun fish wrap has no flavor not to mention no Cajun seasoning at all. We were so hungry and ended up ate the food and later that night my friend and I both got stomach ache. I think it was because the food was way too greasy. I know you cannot expect too much when in the island, but this is such a disappointment.

Not bad of a spot. It was recommended by our driver. Food tasted good although everything we ordered seemed pretty dry even if the item itself was not meant to be. Their fish tacos were pretty good.

While on the Big Island, we asked around about a “local” place to enjoy some dinner. Quinn’s came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We actually went back the following night! The staff was very helpful and friendly. We recommend reservations … as we got right in on time both nights. The little “out back” seating area is almost like being completely outdoors. Beautiful Hawaiian plants flourish around the tables. The food was all perfectly done and we ended up with seven different meals over the two nights. We must say that their “smashed potatoes,” a concoction of potatoes, ranch, Parmesan cheese, and onions were amazing!!! Parking can be a little tricky down in that area but we’ll worth it!

Great low-stress lunch! Fast friendly service and great food. Large portions and moderate prices. Covered open-air seating with lots of flowers. Definitely a good stop!

It’s my first time to the Big Island and friends of ours recommended Quinn’s. It was our very first stop after settling in, as we were starving after a days travel. My hubby got the Hawaiian Burger and I got the fish and chips. I’m from Florida and this was, hands down, the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! My hubby loves his burger as well. We love this place so much and will definitely be back!

Ultimate Green Bay packers fan. Parking is bad but food and service is exceptional. Almost always a wait…. But what good place isn’t ? They handle the traffic well, parking is a pain but there is parking across the street ( yes, they validate for 90 minutes) Best Reuben on the island, monte Cristo is fire. Their fish and chips are also outstanding. Ate there 5/7 days, you won’t be disappointed 🤗

What a festive atmosphere for the upcoming Christmas season Quinn's has. They were the only place we could find open on a Monday night after 9 p.m. Cristian was our attentive waiter. I went with the Ono fish N chips. Their Onion Rings are the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this fine restaurant

Almost by the sea, just on the other side of the beach! Good place for pub food and drinks. Food will fill you up, the portions are large. Get the Lava Flow, after a day in the sun it hits the spot. Busy bar sometimes with a wait especially if there's a football game on. Great fries, catch of the day was a bit dry so get an extra side of tartar. Fish and chips were extra crispy.

This was my second time eating here! The first time, I thought my food was great, but my family wasn’t super excited about it! This time, it was great for me and everyone that was with me! The food was great! Fresh and cooked spot on!! The server was incredible awesome! She was so good that she took our order without writing it down and got it spot on! She was super nice as well! The atmosphere was awesome! We love the outside eating area! They also have an aquarium that has some pretty cool fish and eel in it! We will definitely be back! This was a great experience!! Great Job! 🤙🤙🤙🤙

Quinn's is a great dive bar type comfort restaurant. The crispy chicken sandwich was HUGE! It was very tasty as well. The fried saimin was a little salty but otherwise pretty good. The service was excellent and our waitress was very friendly.

I’m from Wisconsin so I loved packers gear, (it’s the “Quinn”tessential Packers bar meets Hawaii) and the food was like home to me. Honestly the fried cheese curds were better than any I’ve had in Wisconsin. And I loved the beer batter fish and chips (and shrimp combo). But my in-laws (from Maryland) didn’t love it, so it’s a four star from our party!

Service was good and waiter was very accommodating. Cheese curds left me very satisfied and with high hopes for then main entree. High hopes which were met, while it’s not the most amazing steak I’ve had in my life it was pretty damn good for $28, especially in Hawaii. Overall good food at atmosphere, I recommend.

Stopped here for lunch before leaving Kona. Nice place with great service. There is some parking near the restaurant and across the street which I think they validate. I tried the fish and chips with mahi mahi which lacked a bit of salt for my taste. My wife got the fish tacos with ahi which was pretty good. My friends got the veggie burger and fish burger. The fish burger was pretty good. Their fries overall were good and I liked the pineapple coleslaw which came with the taco.

This was the first place we hit when we landed on the Big Island. It was delicious! My son and I had the Mahi-Mahi fish and chips. Oh my goodness it was good! Holy moly! Delicious! Wife, daughter and son-in-law had burgers. They loved them. We’ll definitely be back before we leave!

If you're looking for a place just to kick back and relax, Quinn's is your spot. Nothing fancy here. There's no need to dress up. Just people having a great time. Hostess is always cheerful and making you laugh. And smile. Our serve (Alisa) was very friendly and very nice. Food was a perfect fit for the atmosphere of Quinn's. Appetizers were delicious. And the fish and chips by far one of Kona's best. It's tough to beat. And the drinks complimented the night perfectly.

We were visiting Hawaii. This hotel is very near to courtyard Marriott Hawaii. We were recommended this place by a local friend. The food we had fish chips and the Mahi mahi and some calamari. The taste was average we could not finish the food. The ambience is good and it seems this place is quite popular with the people.

Kind of a dive bar feel with a patio in the rear. Food is excellent. Staff friendly. Chicken sandwich is generous and delicious. Even the kids meals are well made.

My husband and I went for supper at 5 pm at Quinn's Amost by the Sea, which is across the street from the King Kamehameha Hotel. The restaurant was fairly full, but we were seated right away on the covered back patio. Our server, Christian, took our drink order right away, but I had to wait about 10 minutes to get my draft beer as they had to change kegs. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi, and my husband ordered the Ono Fish and Chips. The food took about 25 minutes to come out, but it was well worth the wait! The Shrimp Scampi was seven large shrimp cooked in garlic butter served on a bed of fettuccine with sauté mushrooms and more garlic and parmesan cheese sprinkled overtop with a side of garlic toast. It was delicious! I literally wanted to lick my plate clean, it was so good! My husband's Ono Fish and Chips was five pieces of Ono (each piece about the size of a deck of cards) in a light batter deep fried to perfection. No greasy, oily tasting fish - just a nice taste of fish. The fries are steak fries and are good. He's not really a fry guy and only ate a few. He was more interested in the fish and really enjoyed it. We shared a piece of Lili cheesecake that was the perfect ending to a great meal. Total cost of meal before tip was $60.99. I would highly recommend going to Quinn's Almost by the Sea for your dining enjoyment.

Employees are very friendly, the place gets packed but decent turn around time, we had no issue finding a parking spot on the street (free) they said they also validate for an hour across the street at the hotel parking lot. Food was very tasty, not overly seasoned or salty at all, great flavors, more than enough portions, and the price was great. Don't forget to try the daily specials. For us, we ordered one alcoholic drink, two soft drinks, one daily special+a side, and one full salad with a cooked fish added to it, it was still around $80 (including 18-20% tip)

We went here on the recommendation of a friend who raved about their Ono Fish and Chips. So, our first stop after our arrival was Quinns. We wanted everything on the menu but settled for Sashimi cajun Ono, Ahi, and the Ono fish and chips. I am now spoiled and refuse to order Ahi stateside. Jk... but this was the best Ahi and Ono I have ever had! Maholo to the fish who allowed me this pleasure. In short, Quinns is a must go if you're in the Kailua-Kona area! Oh, and our server (who recommend Holualoa coffee), you, my friend were amazing! MAHALO! 🤙

Quinn’s Almost by the Sea, almost perfect, almost excellent service. Good place in general. Be prepared to stay in line for 20-30 min before being seated and extra 30-40 min to get your food after placing the order. Recommend to try at least once during your trip to Hawaii.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. Mai Tai drinks were the best we had on the island. The food was excellent. Great fish and chips, benny burger, and fish sandwich. The coleslaw was very good with an Hawaiian twist. We also had several appy's that all tasted great if you like deep fried and battered food. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was fun.
