Gorgeous place to play. Absolutely breathtaking in places. But at what cost? I've never paid so much for a round of golf, and probably never will again. Be sure to bring your own clubs as well if at all possible. Renting a set cost us $70 - $85 depending on the quality of clubs we wanted. In addition, I could do without the snooty demeanor of a small handful of the staff (most were great). I've golfed plenty, but I'm not a regular golfer. This small number of staff seemed to smell that out, and treated me with a bit of disdain. Didn't appreciate it. The views are gorgeous, but there are great views at other courses on Kaua'i without this level of cost or stuffiness.

The course was fun to play despite the crazy winds. The course on its own is beautiful and in great condition EXCEPT the bunkers. They need more sand in the bottom and some were lakes instead. The views you get down the stretch on 15-17 are incredible and well worth it. The biggest complaint I had is complete lack of food. For a course charging $200+ for a round, not having even a hot dog is unacceptable. There is 1 cart going around with drinks and snacks but that’s not enough for a course like this. I’m happy I checked out the course but it needs work on their services before I’d be back

This was a great golf course. The finishing 4 holes are absolutely amazing. I rated this a 4 because the bunkers were terrible. There was only a quarter of an inch of sand. The bottom was a hard pan that wedges bounced off of. The ready of the course was in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all good. I would play it again.

If you're a golfer this course is a MUST. Can't say a single negative thing about it. Make sure to bring a good camera.

Checking in was crazy SLOW. There has been a lot of rain lately but the course does not drain well at all. Bunkers were completely unplayable. Views were ok, Really nothing special. Most annoying of all was after being first out at the crack of dawn, They wanted to charge an extra $30 to putt and hit a few balls afterwards. And that was after waiting in line again through the extremely slow front desk process. Very underwhelming… Play somewhere else

The course itself is amazing, but 2 of the 3 staff members that I encountered were awful. The woman at the desk in the pro shop made me feel like I wasn't wanted there (I booked a 3:30 tee time and it seemed like she was trying to talk me out of golfing) as did the gentleman at the golf carts. Kirk, the starter, was the only one that made me feel welcome and thanked me for being there. It was a somewhat rainy afternoon, so there were very few people on the course (when I was on hole 14 I saw 4 people on 17 - that's it), so it seemed odd that the first two people that I came in contact with made me feel unwelcomed. I'd love to golf here again, but I have a bad taste in my mouth for now.

Spectacular, esp back 9. If you're short on time (or $) you can just play the back. Was in amazing condition with maintenance working on the greens seemingly at every hole. On that note, there were perhaps too many maintenance folks on the course, maybe that's only in the morning. Starters were super friendly.

Great course, lots of natural surroundings. No chance of hitting a house. Staff is amazing. You play here for the back nine ocean views :)

Fantastic golf course. Challenging but not ridiculous like some courses. Many of the holes have spectacular ocean views. Bring a glove though because when I was there last they had no men's gloves right or left, and only left handed women's gloves.

Poi'pu Bay Golf is excellent in all aspects. Magnificent ocean and mountain views, manicured fairways, greens and landscaping, and friendly staff in pro shop as well as on the course. Distance is just a little over 7,000 yards from the back gold tee. The forward tees are fun for my daughter and any high-handicap player. This is a most memorable round and was the highlight of our stay in Kaua'i.

The experience from start to finish was lackluster at best. Service was simply bad. The clubhouse surprisingly closed before 5PM, which was at the end of my round. The ocean is nonexistent all but two holes, and those holes aren't impressive. I was dumbfounded. The day I played was managed like a small-town municipal course. The singles I was partnered with were in disbelief as well.

Great course. It was empty when we played. Wife and I finished our round in about 3.5 hours with A LOT of stops for pictures. Rental clubs and shoes were in very good condition.

A beautifully situated golf course with an amazing atmosphere. Even for those who play little golf, they can stroll along the coast to admire the beautiful landscapes of South Kauai.

The ocean 9.... Well it's the reason we all play golf. A must see and do if you like tropical weather and perfect golf conditions with breathtaking scenery. Just wish the drink cart would come around more often. Lol

Nice golf course, we played after heavy rain the day before, course was drying out fast other than most of the sand traps where filled with water or unplayable due to damage to traps. I think we should have received a discount off the price since most all traps where not playable. Some very nice holes and the view on the ocean is awsome

PGA course. Cool to see pics of Tiger winning pretty much everything. Expensive but worth it. The electric GPS carts with on board music? A nice touch. The course was very well maintained. Rentals are expensive so bring your own clubs if you can. We played early as it gets quite hot. Highly recommend you do this as the last few holes were almost unbearable.

Most amazing course we've ever played!!! It is now a life goal for us to make it back there 😍 Best golf experience of our lives!

Worst Hawaii golf experience I have ever had. Paid full price for a course that looked worse than my county municipal course. There is extremely heavy construction going through the center of the course disrupting at least 5 holes. There were 3 maintenance vehicles on every hole at all times and I don’t think I took many shots without the drone of some piece of equipment. There was nowhere to get drinks because the cart couldn’t go past the construction. Absolutely worst vacation golf experience I have ever had I will be telling anybody coming to Kauai to avoid this train wreck of a golf course.

$200 plus round in a gorgeous setting with mountain views on every hole and ocean views on many. The greens and fairways are in excellent shape. Friendly and helpful staff with good amenities. The food cart came by three or four times. Nene are everywhere!
