Such a lovely and cosy place to stay. The things I loved most about this place: - great proximity to the main street, but tucked away so it's quiet and relaxing. Left the car and walked to the main street for most of our stay - 4 different sized rooms/units to choose from at the property for groups and families (my partner and I stayed at the Amble Wren) - the comfy king sized bed and ample bedding for the cold winter nights (including an electric blanket) - the spa bath and ample sized bathroom stocked with toiletries (didn't use the bath, but good water pressure on shower) - best part is the outdoor patio overlooking a lovely garden, where you can sit and relax whilst watching all sorts of beautiful birds fly in and out There's also an outdoor BBQ grill (we didn't use it but would've been perfect for summer). Our hosts were so lovely and accommodating, check-in and check out was a breeze. I managed to snap a photo of the garden with a stunning rainbow as a backdrop after the rain, and it just summed up the weekend. Thank you Vanessa and Jamie, will definitely be back

My partner and I stayed at Amble for our 1 year anniversary and it was perfect. The staff are lovely and will respond to your messages quickly. You get a tranquil cottage experience with everything you need to cook and plenty of complimentary quality coffee and tea. The room is extremely comfortable with great heating and the bed was so soft. Hahndorf is just down the road with plenty for you to do, making this one of the most affordable yet high-quality experiences I have ever had.

We had a lovely stay at Amble Wren cottage. Although next to the other buildings it felt completely secluded and private due to it being slightly set back and having a lovely front garden and a back view of farm paddocks. Great location. The cottage is just a minute walk from the Hahndorf Main Street. Inside the cottage is cosy and inviting with tea and coffee supplies. Lovely view from the dining table out to the farm paddocks where we watched sheep, alpacas and horses. Overall the cottage feels light and spacious. A few nice touches inside included the pretty tea cups, electric blanket on the bed (bed was very comfortable), heated towel rail and the little jar of Epsom salts for the bath. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful and cosy stay.

Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The host Vanessa is absolutely lovely and so accommodating. Can't wait to stay here again.

We stayed in the “Amble Over” this weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Vanessa made the check in process so memorable, familiarising us with all of the facilities and making us feel so comfortable. The room was clean, had everything we could’ve needed and exceeded our expectations. Just a short walk to the Main Street we found so much to do. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful stay at Amble. Thanks to Vanessa who tended to her garden so well, many birds flock here. Highly recommended. And bring your long range cameras for better shots.

We stayed in Amble Over Suite for two nights. What a beautiful apartment with everything you could need. The apartment was spacious, warm and comfortable with wonderful views of rural countryside from one balcony and lovely gardens from the other balcony. Enjoyed watching the birds and having a chance to feed them ourselves. Perfect distance from the main street of restaurants and shops. Can't recommend enough. Thank you :-)

The hosts were absolutely gorgeous!! A very comfortable nights stay, 3 adults & 1 teenager and everyone had a good nights sleep. Coffee/tea/hot chocolate options and don't get me started on the spa bath! The lovely host had special salts for the spa & explained how she keeps it clean. Was not made to feel like a pest at all, in fact Vanessa walked us down to the main street and made sure we got a table at one of the pubs. Above & beyond service!! Do yourself a favour and spend a night or two, enjoy the charm and beauty that is Hahndorf!

We were lucky enough to stay at Amble for my 40th and it was better than I ever expected. From the moment we were greeted by Vanessa we knew this place was going to be special. She’s so warm and completely full Of knowledge. She showed us to our room and went though all the comforts we needed (hello warm electric blankets. Spa bath and gorgeous views!) she gave us the best recommendations for food and for shops to visit in Hahndorf and made us feel truly welcomed. The room is so comfortable and having a cup of tea in the serene backdrop of gardens, birds and animals was perfect. Thank you so much. We would have loved to stay longer!

We stayed at Amble to celebrate an anniversary. It was so cosy on what was a cold wet weekend and convenient to everything Hahndorf had to offer. The shower and spa bath were the best! It was so lovely to have a shower while looking out at the fields and view...so peaceful! And the endless hot water was amazing. The bed was really comfy and the apartment has everything needed for a winter weekend of relaxation. Everything is thought of! Thank you again, we'll definitely be back.

The cottage is very nice and private. The spa has a nice view outside and the bed is big and comfortable.

Very peaceful and secluded when you sit on the verandah late in the afternoon and watch and listen to the birds. Nice accommodation within walking distance to the main street. Well lit steps and garden when you return from dinner at night

This is the best B&B that we have been to. My hubby and I stay at least oncea year. The owners are just amazing. We have stayed in the upstairs unit and the cottage and they are both beautiful and so well appointed. The gardens are just lovley and the cockys are such a huge bonus for me. I just can't wait until my next stay

We landed early in Adelaide today and Vanessa had taken the trouble of making up our room so that we could shower and unpack before going to Mount Barker to surprise my sister who I haven't seen for 14 years. It is a Sunday and check-in was supposed to be after 2pm, but nothing was too much trouble and we got the lovely upstairs room with balconies which have panoramic views of the lovely countryside, the Alpacka's and the gorgeous birds which pop up to the balcony. A lovely and relaxing place to stay, we have been made to feel very welcome indeed.

Lovely relaxing night away. If you want to feel a wonderful Aussie experience away from the city, watch the bird life and enjoy some quiet time, this is your place. We loved it and Vanessa was so welcoming. Nice extra details especially the rugs if you want to sit outside late or early to enjoy the wonderful location

Peaceful, lovely view, short walk to main Street and Vanessa and Jamie are the best hosts. She goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Would never stay anywhere else when going that way

We stayed at ‘Amble Over’ for 2 nights- what a relaxing place to stay. The accommodation was well laid out, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable. There are 3 choices of accommodation depending on how many people you have. Amble Fern (family) , Amble Over( 2-3) and Amble Wren (2). The bird life that visit the property make the experience even more special with bird feeders on the balcony. The location is fantastic to walk to anywhere in Hahndorf - even a nice walk to Beerenberg Strawberry Farm. Vanessa and Jamie are great hosts and provide lots of little extra touches to make the stay even better. We hope to return again soon.

Lovely quiet and tranquil place, visited by lots of birds, easy walking distance to main street where you can fill up on lots of gourmet goodies, shame to have to leave!

This is our most favourite place to stay during our 5 week holiday. Service was excellent and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. We will be back.
