Good quality food at this “good ol chicken shop”! Tasty barbecue, chicken – the breast was tender! Great chips, crisp, and crunchy on the outside, light and fluffy inside. Salads, the standard selection (most are pasta & potato- not enough fresh /greens for me). Prompt and efficient service from pleasant and happy staff.

Came here a couple of times early to mid 2022 and the fish and chips were good. I'd say 4/5 stars. At some point things went downhill dramatically. I don't like to write a bad review after one go but I've been back their three times now (5 in total) and the food as has been really poor each time. The fish and chips makes me feel queasy and I can't finish half the meal without feeling sick. Last night is the last time I will come here. Ordered the fish pack with whiting. Chips were very average, fish was dry and at the end of each piece was a deposit of scales and bones I had to spit out. Once again, the same queasy feeling half way through the meal.

Grab a quick bite. The chickens are always good for a family meal when you don't feel like cooking. I enjoy the BIG 3D burger, which fills me up nicely. Good tender tasty chicken. The salads have always been fresh too.

The chickens are great but my go to is the butterfish and chips. Really huge pieces of fish with a nice light batter and a large amount of well cooked chips. Great staff and super quick turnaround. I sometimes uber from here too and it’s really quick too.

Great chicken and chips and the service was absolutely awesome. I wish I knew the young guys name that served me. He was so polite and friendly. Made the experience really good. Thank you! I sat in and ate and every person he served he gave the same amazing service to.

Absolutely love Chickens on Diagonal! Chickens are always tasty & succulent. My go to is their chicken schnitzel pack - yummy chips, gravy & deliciously crumbed generous pieces of chicken schnitzel & of course your peas & carrots on the side. I think the gravy tastes lovely, I always get extra. Thankyou so much for your wonderful service, great Chicken shop 😊👌

1 chicken, small chips, 1 small greek salad $40. Chips tasted like fish. Oil needs changing as too many fish have been fried in it. Will go get my chicken from Coles or Woolies from now on.

A great local, takeaway shop. Tasty free range chicken, chips are cooked to perfection, nice n crispy and great fish too. Staff are friendly and it never disappoints

Came in tonight and got dinner for the family the fish was great as always and the salads are so yummy especially the chicken and bacon one! 10/10 would recommend

Unfortunately has gone down hill! Worst fish & chips we have ever had. Fish was dry and tasteless. Chips were stale and unedible. The only flavour in both was salt!!

I came to this chicken shop couple of days ago and was greeted with this rude girl asking me what i would like today in the MOST RUDE TONE EVER almost as if she didnt want me to be there, then when i asked for extra tomato sauce she told me that i dont have any even though i saw her serve tomato sauce to some other customer after me. That girl made me wait for my food on the side while she made some one else food Infront of me. I really hope that the manager would resolve this issue by talking to the young girl about it and how not to treat customers like this. Overall the food was really good but wouldn't recommend because of the service quality and poor attitude .

big lover of the meal deals and close distance towards my residence. I am let down by my most recent experience though, to the neanderthals working behind the stove, if a meal does NOT advertise gravy and vegetables do not add them to my meal. wanted a simple quarter chicken and chips and i received a mound of disgustingly coated chips in gravy and a dubious tasting chicken leg. I wasn't expecting peas and carrots but honestly they were the best part the meal because they were at the bottom and the disgusting "chips" had absorbed the monstrosity that you called gravy. I will come back because of the close distance and usual good quality just please do not add gravy on the meal unless advertised and if you do put it in a plastic container for the customer to add themselves. much love Archibald.

In there today for chips and salad, the salads were not bad but the chips were atrocious. Was prepared to give another go but no more. Not wasting anymore money on sub standard food.

This place has gone downhill so much. Received overcooked and greasy chips that looked like they were from the bottom of the barrel. Went to take them back and the second lot I received was just as bad. Friendly girl who served me but food isn’t good. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great find! Recently new to the area and came across this place today, ordered a parmi pack. Was a proper feed and so so tasty, need to try more of this place. Also friendly staff, definitely will be returning.

I ordered food just after 6 and didn’t receive it until 740. My order was wrong, the food quality was awful and over priced. I payed $9 for the equivalent of a macdonalds medium chips.
