LOVE LOVE LOVE. From the second you walk in the atmosphere is intoxicating and exciting. The staff are absolutely beautiful and friendly but very on point with the service. The food was fresh and delicious the beer cold and coffee hot and creamy. Then the main attraction. The music Hell yes the variety of artists in mind blowing but Brad Cox and Sammy White I absolutely adore you both. The whole night and experience was wonderful. I do not give 5 stars often or lightly but visiting THE GOV is a must on your SA bucket list.

Had a really good concert here, great venue small and intimate, but also big enough for decent sized crowds. The outdoor area behind the doors is nice to get away for a few minutes, if needed. Had the food here before also and was really good. It's a really good spot near the city.

Went for dinner before a gig. Absolute best way to do it. (Make sure you book) Main restaurant was great. Menu was very good, plenty of foods for all diets. Wine list was sensational. Service was good and the environment was comfortable. The live music area is stunning, plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Plenty of fresh air and the acoustics are some of the best for live music in this city.

Awesome venue for an intimate concert, I came here with my partner to see Windwaker, Enter Shikari and Creeper for the end of their Australian tour in Adelaide (videos attached). They were absolutely amazing, the stage was small and the crowd was decent. We got a fist bump, hug and guitar pick from the drummer, Jesse, from Windwaker, so that really made our night! We had a blast and would easily come back to The Gov for another performance. Enter Shikari was having so much fun on stage, Adelaide showed them so much ❤️ We didnt drink or eat anything there so I cant make a judgement on that, but it looks like a neat little bar with a beachy vibe, there is indoor and outdoor seating.

Had an absolute blast at The Gov last Thursday night for my first ever visit to this Icon of Adelaide. Top beers, a wonderful steak sanga, met the lovely owner Jo, felt the Gov Love and saw my old mate play a great set before a fantastic Talking Heads Tribute band rocked the joint. 5 stars and a standing ovation from me!!

A work colleague introduced me to The Gov! What a great place! Awesome atmosphere! Patrons were so friendly and the staff really helped that friendly vibe! I would recommend you drop in!

We went to the Gov for the Bjorn Again live show on Australia day night. They were fully booked in both areas ( Gig & restaurant), I'm glad we booked. The girls were very attentive and the food came out quick. The toilets were reasonable. There is a disabled one, but when it is busy it would be hard to get around, but not saying you can't do it wit a bit of help.There are lots of little areas to eat where you could have a group of people . If you like my ratings, please follow me.

For NYE with Latino Grooves - it was a nice large space, bar staff were pleasant, glasssesctidied up quickly, some seating outside in kind of a tropical setting - I enjoyed it. Felt comfortable going on my own which might reflect both the activity and the venue

Best pepper sauce I've had in a long time. Quirky rock n roll pub. Just wish they had better beer tap options but can't have everything. Friendly staff always

Victor Wooten chose a fine place to bestow his talents, and The Gov appropriately served it on a silver platter. Good music, good venue, and good atmosphere. If my band stops flaking on practices, I hope The Gov gives us the chance to take the stage.

Had a great burger with a good wine and beer selection, then off to next door to see the Damned. What a great night!

This is one of Adelaide's best pubs there is live music gems everywhere from Irish music, guys playing on a grand piano to blues bands and of course some of Australia's and international bands the Gov has it all

I’ve seen a few gigs / concerts at The Gov, and each time has been great. The building is a bit confusing to navigate, but no big deal. The Venue is where I’ve seen the shows. It’s a big, open space that extends into outdoor seating. You can also order food and eat whilst watching the concert if that’s more your speed, but there’s also ample space for general standing and getting as close to the action as possible!

Excellent live music venue in Hindmarsh, much more like what an old school rock venue was like without the blood and the vomit. Always a top shelf line up of artists coming through the Gov so check out what's on. Great night out seeing the home town gig of the Brewster Brothers last Friday 21 April.

i’m a regular and like to come in for a drink after work, just had dinner for the first time and the food is absolutely amazing, fresh and comes out piping hot, all the staff are always LOVELY and helpful, service is 10/10 all the time, would drink here forever 💖

Food was remarkably good. I had the chicken burger which was very tasty and quite large! If you can eat here before a gig I highly recommend 👍👍
