I
grew
up
in
Adelaide
but
have
been
living
abroad
for
nearly
a
decade
and
this
is
my
first
trip
home
since
2016.
When
I
lived
here,
I
used
to
frequent
Fish
Out
of
Water.
Their
(already
steep)
prices
have
climbed
so
much
that
I
searched
for
cheaper
alternatives.
The
Stunned
Mullet
seemed
the
best
option.
I
was
not
disappointed.
This
is
the
best
fish
and
chips
I’ve
had
in
ages—and
that
includes
from
highly
rated
comparable
businesses
in
Manhattan.
The
fish
was
lightly
battered
deliciousness.
The
chips
were
hand
cut
and
lightly
seasoned
with
plain
salt
and
malt
vinegar.
(When
I
requested
“plain
salt
and
vinegar,”
the
proprietor
asked
whether
I
wanted
white
or
malt
vinegar.)
Perfect
portion
size
for
one.
Non-greasy.
Fresh
ingredients.
Reasonable
pricing
(about
$17
for
King
George
Whiting
a
chips).
What
more
could
you
ask
for?
Also,
it’s
good
to
see
a
successful
family-run
business.
The
customer
service
was
excellent.
If
I
lived
in
Adelaide,
I’d
be
a
regular.
Definitely
hope
to
visit
again
before
I
return
to
the
States.
Highly
recommend.
