This place is amazing! Came here for my Nan's birthday and could not have been more impressed. I got the Summit Burger and it was astounding, the meat tasted great and was cooked perfectly. My Nan got a Pumpkin, carrot and ginger soup which I gave a little taste and holy moly it was perfect. Perfect temperature coming put of the kitchen, perfect texture, perfect mix of flavour. Thank you for the amazing day to all the amazing staff here!!

This place has it all, huge selections of foods on the menu, cooked fresh and didn't have to wait long for the meals. The wine and beer list was extensive, so was the sweets selection. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the meals were well priced. If that wasn't enough the real highlight is the best view of Adelaide and its surrounding suburbs from the huge restaurant windows.

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to so far. The food was so delicious and has a great view of the city. The food for its price is very worth it because it is served in large quantities. I highly suggest you get Summer Salad. It's the highlight of our lunch! We booked in advanced and they were kind enough to adjust it a bit when we went there. The waiters are very friendly and accommodating. There's a $4.00 flat rate parking fee, but really worth it for the good food and the great view!

Have been here many times over the years and we are always happy with the quality of food and service. Staff are friendly. Lovely views whether sitting outside or inside. It’s a nice way to reward yourself with lunch or treat after a hike or ride up the hill. Plenty of parking available at a flat rate of $4. There’s often koalas 🐨 and kangaroos to be seen nearby.

What a lovely place to visit! Beautiful city view from the Mount Lofty summit. Go for the trail walk up the hill and end up with a nice meal or coffee at this Cafe. Friendly staff always welcome you with a smile. Ample paid parking spots available. Can be also reached by driving all the way to the cafe. Step out to enjoy the cool breeze and the breathtaking scenery. Highly recommended!

Andrew and the staff were a dream to work with and my daughters baby shower in her own words was “the best day ever.” Nothing was too much trouble and all of our guests were very impressed. I highly recommend The Summit Cafe for your special occasion.

Organised a surprise birthday party in December. Tony and his team were absolutely flawless in their organisation, communication and execution of every aspect of the function. The food packages were fantastic very fresh and plenty to go around. The bar staff were great. The whole experience was great and will be back for sure. Highly recommended.

Spectacular view with good food. My best place to go when I am in SA. Hot cakes are too good.

You'll definitely love the atmosphere, it's well located on the summit and well decorated. The food and the coffee are not the best you could have, but both were completely good and nothing to complain about. It might get very busy so it is better to book in advance. We ordered the tower which you can see in the photo, depending on your diet, it easily feeds 4 to 7, if you are on a restricted diet even more 😂. The waffle tastes amazing, just you might fight over the only one ice cream on top.

Ordered a slice of hazelnut torte and a cappuccino from the sweets cabinet for a quick bite. Definitely satisfied my sweets craving and caffeine needs after the long hike.

Best scones in Adelaide! Crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. Warmed to perfection and just what we needed on a morning at Mount Lofty. Shared one between 2 but could have easily had one each.

Now I've never done this before but this Friday was truly a wonder, I cannot believe the service I received. This lovely lady named Justine, who had the brightest hair and personality, served me these lovely house made scones and an excellent cappuccino. It's so hard to find a good coffee these days and I'm so glad I've found one. What a lovely experience at such a beautiful location. I have full intention of bringing my family here soon.

On such a drizzly day, the staff gave a warm welcome. Quickly my friend and I received our coffees, made to perfection by Gabby. The food was served soon after, Tom and Dan providing a memorable meal to make anyone wish to return. A big thank you to the staff for coming out in this weather and to the floor staff in particular for treating us so warmly. I recommend this for anyone who just needs a nice treat, alone or with friends. Thank you all so much, This was a pleasure, and I can't wait to return xx

I have visited this Cafe for many years both for breakfast and lunches and each time I have promised myself I would write a review. Finally I’m getting around to it I can only say good things about this restaurant. The food is always fabulous, fresh and their drink selection is extremely extensive. Staff are friendly and always willing to chat when the moment allows. On a clear day there’s nothing like picking up a takeaway coffee and enjoying the fabulous views from the viewing points out front. Full marks from me !! 🥂🏆

A bus tour of 30, we arrived to find our reserved tables all set up, orders for tea and coffee were taken swiftly and lovely scones (large fluffy ones ) with jam and whipped cream..beautiful views, wonderful staff. comfortable seats...I wished I had a spare stomach to try the lovely looking cheesecake and one of their pies...all made on the premises. The only bad thing was the toilet facilities are shared with the entire centre including bush walkers or anyone who wanders through- so too many ppl not enough toilets. even worse was the the ladies toilet was closed "for painting"....which seems incredibly stupid...why couldn't they paint it in stages after hours? by the morning, although maybe not finished whatever paint would have dried.. anyway the cafe is worth a revisit, and maybe they will have it sorted by then....20 women and girls lined up to use the one disability toilet.....

We booked Mt Lofty Summit Cafe, recently, for a private function, to celebrate a significant birthday. It was an intimate affair for 21 people, including 3 children. A number of our guests were flying in from interstate, and we wanted to showcase Adelaide’s finest. We asked Andrew, the Manager, if he’d consider coordinating a unique degustation menu. The Cafe hadn’t done this before, so Andrew used his expert knowledge and worked with, who we now consider to be a very talented chef, to develop a 5-course degustation menu, using only locally sourced produce, along with wine pairings from the local region. Andrew stayed in touch, every step of the way and the menu was set! We arrived to bubbles and canapés, a lovely welcoming atmosphere, and a superb view out over Adelaide. We were seated for the various courses. Ethan, our waiter, along with manager Andrew, took care of us all, for the entire evening. The service was superb! They were serving food, topping up drinks, keeping an eye on our and the kids’ needs, changing cutlery, picking up napkins… everything was perfect. The chefs’ hard work paid off. Food presentation was beautiful, portions were generous, the mix of colours and flavours were inspirational. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue, and evening. Everyone was so complementary and our birthday boy was grinning from ear to ear, to not only have his nearest and dearest celebrate his milestone, but also to experience the best that Adelaide has to offer. We highly recommend engaging with Andrew and the team, at Mt Lofty Summit Cafe, and doing something a little different, for an intimate gathering.

The staff were kind and considerate and the food was excellent. We booked about a week in advance. We went midweek and found the atmosphere excellent. It has disability access. My wife and I will definitely be going back. A hidden Gem in the Adelaide Hills.

The wedges were perfect and just hit the spot after a long hike from Waterfall Gully. Pizzas were mediocre to be honest and could’ve been better.

Arrived here during heavy fog, and wind at 9am opening time. Outside temp 7 degrees C. So looking forward to a great hot coffee. We were the first of only a few customers. My coffee arrived just warm. Very disappointing. Our friends had coffee and muffins as well, their coffee was Luke warm, but the muffins were fantastic. Service was great, nice people. A real shame the coffee was just warm. But, I can only review what we got unfortunately. The muffins saved this review from being a one star

We regular walkers love the warm hospitality, and best coffee n food after braving the elements on the trails. The supervisor and staff are professional so helpful when it comes to the COVId QR. Best cafe restaurant in the hills. Love the views.

What a lovely place for lunch! The view is pretty amazing and lunch in the cafe on a cold winters day is a perfect place to be. The food was really yummy, service was good and the atmosphere was relaxed and easy. Parking was easy at the summit, a short stroll to the cafe and view. Remember to pay the parking meter. It is a good idea to reserve a table ahead for the busier days. Definitely come again :)

After the hiking Mt Lofty and being exhausted. Being able to sit down in a neat air conditioning cafe that provides good coffee and a decent breakfast. The view of Adelaide is well worth the visit and the cafe is just cherry on the cake. Btw And U can buy some souvenirs if U so feel inclined too.

Cafe is nice and clean. We got some pies and sausage rolls, unfortunately the base of them was a little hard, in particular the saus rolls. Staff nice and friendly and really good views to be had on a clear day.

Brunch food was alright. Good hollaindase sauce with poached eggs. The main attraction was the lookout point. Beautiful view, with a track you can hike up and down.
