Visited today (a day pass), planned especially to enjoy the steam room, sauna and hot spa, but the spa was closed and we were told that the sauna and steam room were available only for members. We were very disappointed as we were not advised when we were buying the tickets and there was no information on the website on the "day visit" page. Also, the facilities were not very clean and the staff not very supportive. We won't come here anymore, as there are plenty other aquatic centres in Adelaide where you can enjoy everything practically for the same price.

I have been attending swimming classes on weekends, and until today, I’ve had positive experiences. However, my encounter with the staff member, Calvin, during my visit on Saturday afternoon, was extremely disappointing. When I approached the tap machine near the reception to check-in, there was no one around. I noticed Calvin at the reception, so I politely showed him my card for check-in. To my surprise, he responded with a bad and arrogant expression, instructing me to come closer and show him the card. It felt like he was being rude and disrespectful towards me. I believe customer service representatives should maintain a friendly and welcoming attitude, regardless of their personal feelings. Calvin’s behavior made me feel very unwelcome. I hope the management takes this review seriously and addresses the issue with Calvin’s behavior promptly. As a customer, I expect better treatment and professionalism during my visits. This incident has left me with a negative impression, and I hope it can be rectified to ensure a positive experience for everyone.

We drove 2 hrs to Adelaide with a car load of kids ( my wife me and 6 kids ) arrived soon after 3 paid 2x family passes for us all to get in they had the waterside running and the inflatable in the big pool as we lined up and got to the front of the queue we were told we all had to prove that we were confident swimmers including myself as a fully grown adult to then get told there packing it up in literally 15 minutes (4pm) so I got to race 2 of the kids one time each then decided to head to the water slide to be told that is also closed at 4 I would think that if we cannot use the facilities due to late time of arrival it would be a reduced cost of entry as your not getting what everyone else got for the same price 👎 I'm not impressed considering its summer school holidays

Would not recommend this center for kids swimming lessons. Coaches appear to be lax, passing time rather than actually focussing on working on strengths and weaknesses of children. There is also frequent changeover of coaches so there is no continuity. Can’t ever be so easy for kids seeing new faces every 2 weeks! Waste of time and effort. We have pulled out. Sorry. NOT recommended.

Nice playground outside, Rang up to make sure that everything would be on when we got there nothing was actually on was told we could get a refund but realistically we lost our on time driving down there and home and petrol So really disappointed

Room temperature is too cold for children once they have been to the water. Also casual customers don't get to use the sauna and steam room which is a big turn off. We enjoy way more at the Aquatic centre at Marion. Won't visit this place again.

The lady at the ticket window was very unhappy. She didn't look up at me the whole time when I bought the ticket. I arrived at around 2pm this afternoon. I hope she's only temporary

Besides the beautiful beaches, this is one of the ideal places for all seasons in Adelaide. Swimming in the cool water in the summer and the warm water in the winter really relaxes me. The fun water game equipment for children is also the highlight of this place. The guards are attentive and friendly. Parking is also quite good. Convenient location to get to any day of the week.

Great facility. Decent pricing. Would be great to have a full sized 50m though doesn't exist here only 25m pools. Nice gym. Sauna and steam room for members. Good little kids area as well.

The staff are friendly and recreational facilities are great however what is stopping me from giving the full 5 stars are the toilets, they always smell like urine and a deep clean with some hot soapy water would do wonders. I've been coming here for many years now and I enjoy the spa and the gym classes very much! 💜

It's amazing.. great for the kids and adults, the wading pool perfect temp. Lanes lil cooler but well maintained. A couple of water slides small but fun. Memberships available. Bathrooms could do with a bit more regular cleaning but other than that, pricing is great, food drink and lockers available and they do kids parties.

Okay, I admit it, I may be a bit biased. I love swimming, I love pools, I love going to the beach, I love water. But this aquatic centre? It stands out magnificently! So, let me tell you a few reasons to go here, and give you a bit more info about it! MONEY: One teeny downside is that as soon as you enter the pool area, you need to pay, even if you’re just supervising. This doesn’t count though, if you know what I mean. (If you don’t, go and get tickets and you’ll have a great experience!) All the money you need to spend, I’ll guarantee, is worth it. 150 percent! EXPERIENCE: Babies, little children, children, teens and adults alike can go here. There’s even a lane for walking and therapy! With a cool baby pool that little kids can go to, two twin water slides that twist (one has a ‘roof,’ one is just the bottom!) and turn, and a ‘playing’ lane near the swimming ones for older children who just want to play around, this experience is… incredible! They also lend free donut floaties, horseshoe shaped-ones and letter H-shaped ones as well! If you are confident, and fit the criteria, you can go diving from a multi-level diving board, which leads to a five-metre pool! Don’t just go in though, it could be too deep for you! KIDS AND BABY: Yes, there is most definitely a huge baby pool with spraying rainbows and water-dumping machines. The water sure is shallow and safe! However, you should also supervise your babies and children! SAFETY: It’s very safe! There are many lifeguards, and parents, you can give a little extra supervision. Don’t be too worried! (But again, still watch out for your kid in case!) So, next time you take a trip to this peaceful city, why not go here? To be honest, I feel like this is one of the best places I went to in Adelaide. Be sure to go here!

This service states you are charged per lesson but you they deduct funds whether you are able to get a booking for the swimming lessons or not. It's theft!!

Rocked up to our normal swimming class today and the pools have been over chlorined and have said that all lessons are cancelled. Didn’t let us know via phone, no email sent out to members. Just wasted our time driving all the way here to be turned away. Not good enough for members. The communication is shocking, the staff are lazy and can’t be bothered assisting anyone even when they affect others due to their own mishaps. I really hope they fix the staffing when the new Center is built. Myself and many mums I know in the centre dislike the staff handling here

Needs new management 🙄 Why is a public pool not offering public services like the sauna to the public and only to paid members. Living in 2023 the financial barriers that exist that continue to prevent people on lower income to access the same facilities as others is incredibly important. This centre clearly supports discrimination until it changes its policies to include people with low income being able to access the sauna without having to pay for a full membership.

Not really age appropriate for competent swimmers aged 6 to 8. Had to pay for family entry despite neither my wife and I needing a swim. After paying I decided to swim in order accompany/supervise my kids into the larger pool after they were bored of the kids pool (waterslides not running until 12pm). Then advised the kids can't swim in larger pool, even with my supervision, as they were under 8 years of age. Seek elsewhere and better value for money if your kids are in a similar age and swim competency bracket.

Have been visiting for a while with no issues. Our last (ever) visit in early Jan we found that the water was just filth with dirt and floating debris. How long since you cleaned it or filtered it properly?? We left straight away as no level of chlorine could protect us from that. Please tell me you’re doing something about it.

We love the swimming pool but building and facilities are old. I guess nothing fancy in this place, just ordinary public swimming pool. We enjoy our time when we go but If you want attractive /state of art facility then you need to search other state or overseas.

It's a great indoor swimming centre. The children like to swim here, although it is a little far away for us. The parking lot is big. There is also a playground next to it. There are swimming pools for all ages and levels. The staff are nice.

Pros - Good active travel connections. Good pool areas. Cons - completely inadequate family change facilities, only 2 rooms (accessible 1 per gender) plus disabled room doesn't have change table. Long wait. Intended to provide this feedback at feedbox box, but no pens provided.

You have to pay big money in membership to go to sauna and steam room now. You used to be able to enjoy all these services included in the swimming fee, but not any more. The showering and changing room is not very clean and water pressure is little. :(

Nice pool, a bit tired looking but lots of different pools to swim in, the kids loved the deep dive pool. The life guards were friendly checking my kids were good enough swimmers to be in the deep pool. Which is nice to know they are actually watching and paying attention. The slides are fun also. Average food. Parking is decent. We had a great day out and come fairly often.

When you become a member you can use steam room, sauna room, gym and pool plus get a locker and classes for fitness for free. I did a month membership. A year works out cheaper if you want to go all the time. Helped relax my aches and pains in muscles and joints when I went to sauna room then pool. Loved it. They have toilets 🚻 and showers too 🚿 . Please turn off showers when finished..

Worth the price. Very nice pools, mainly for kids. The only thing that I don't like is the jumping plataforms closed forever, i don't know why. And maybe excessive guards, make you feel like a convict sometimes, but is very good place anyway.

I went there on holiday and there were many children in the pool. But the service was good. The toilets are big and swimming pools are big and clean. The diving pool is 5 meters deep.

It is a best place for kids but for adults they don’t have a deeper pool section more than 1.8m. And the more deeper section than 1.8m stays closed for normal public most of the time, only open for professionals/members. But overall, this is the awesome place to spend a day with your kids and food is also super delicious. 🤤

Not bad for a rainy day. Would be great if they open the slides and water features during school term weekdays. Change rooms quite clean. There is one small leisure pool for babies and the other deeper leisure pool is shared with swimming lessons so not much space for the public. More is available for swimming laps.

My mate and I go once a week to start our fitness journey and today found one of the staff pointing and laughing at us with her other swim coach buddies. I’m sorry that our bodies are a joke to you, but I guess tolerance is not part of the coaching training. The rest of the facility is fine but if you don’t have supermodel looks prepare to be laughed at by the swim instructors.

Awesome for kids. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Generally a great place for kids to learn swimming or just have fun. Swimming lessons in progress, great results.

Went there for a kids party, they were quite late collecting us and some of it was unorganised, but the people who worked in the swimming section were all great with the kids. The food section was not visible from the swimming area, which meant we either had to leave the food, presents etc unattended, or someone had to miss out on participating or watching the fun to stay with the food

Nice Pool with friendly staff. My boys have swimming lessons at the Pool and the trainers are always polite, professional and patient. Only opportunity is the water slide and diving boards are rarely open.

  • 1/5 Emily 1 year ago on Google
Spa's have been drained and closed Off, need to pay for steam room and sauna. No diving boards at all, completely closed and. For the first weekend of school holidays. We were swimming all day with my family the lifeguard george decided at 4pm to deflate my daughter's confidence, while she was learning to swim in the big pool and gain experience, when there was an adult inside. And outside the pool. George ruined the end of a good family day. This place has gone down hill so much and so fast. We will not be back. Clearly minimal maintenance so many tiles missing from the pools. So sad to see..

Very nice place and suitable for all ages . Has three big pools. 60 to 90cm with slides and small fountains , 1.8 m and 5 m. Just outside there is a very nice playground for kids as well.
