What
you
need
to
know
about
Bukovel
(compared
to
Alpine
resorts)
it’s
small
but
still
decent
size,
lots
of
hotels,
bars
and
restaurants,
expensive
for
Ukraine,
but
still
cheaper
than
the
Alps.
It’s
generally
about
30-40%
too
busy
for
it’s
size.
Skiing
is
OK
only…
it’s
quite
disconnected,
basically
3
areas
-
starting
at
lifts
2,
5
or
7.
The
areas
from
5
&
7
have
connections,
but
lift
2
is
a
particular
choke
point
with
old
fashioned
lifts
-
2x
chair
and
4x
chair.
We
had
the
added
misfortune
to
come
when
the
4x
chair
was
out
of
service.
This
resulted
in
queues
of
90
minutes!!!!
That
will
simply
ruin
your
day,
but
there’s
no
other
way
to
get
across
the
resort.
Because
of
these
poor
connections,
and
many
day
visitors
from
surrounding
areas,
the
car
traffic
at
the
end
of
the
ski
day
is
horrible
also.
Seems
to
me
they
could
invest
in
better
lifts,
and
make
a
trail
from
top
of
7
to
lift
1
perhaps…
when
it
comes
to
restaurants,
you’ll
find
yourself
eating
at
any
one
of
the
many
Cartel
owned
places,
with
their
high
prices
and
mediocre
dishes.
Else
you’ll
be
stuck
with
Ukrainian
food
or
pizza
-
both
of
which
are
fine;
but
not
more
than
once
per
week
for
me…
Anyway,
not
the
worst
resort
I’ve
been
to,
but
sooo
far
from
the
best.
