They call this place a country bar, but they mostly played hip hop music that people would line dance too. Drinks were really sugared down. Lady's night is on Thursday but they don't get in for free. The line could be really long and if they are at capacity which they normally are...then you could be out there for hrs. So then you end up buying your way in. Instead of $5 cover, it's 25. Also, whether it's summer or winter it's so hot in there. No new circulation of air, it's no wonder I caught a cold a couple days after being there. People are just neck to neck in there. I wasn't even dancing and I was burning up. I've been to stoneys in Sacramento, they have a mechanical bull along with people actually playing country music and dancing to it. -they need more country music - better air circulation -better drinks

I love bushwhackers it’s the best place to go dancing on Thursday I have fun dancing more I made some new friends their they love my dance moves I’m so popular I don’t mind to pay $5 it was still worth it to I enjoy it every Thursday and I’m sure gonna miss it since the owner Jay Johnson won’t forgive me for something I didn’t mean too because of Chinese Covid ruin everything of my life I wish Jay Johnson should blame China that started the virus

Great place. Went to eat and Line dancing busted out. We were here on a Thursday evening. Friendly staff. I had the fish and chips; Liz had the steak salad.

Nice country bar. I had the steak salad and kip had the fish & chips. Both were good. We each had a cocktail. Very tasty. But for$10 a drink I think I'll stick to drinking at home. Line dancing here as well.

I've had many great experiences here for happy hour on week nights. If your lucky enough to get Kate as your server you will have a wonderful experience. But today after work I got a new server and in a single evening she managed to erase all of the positive experiences. I'm going to have a tough time going back after my happy hour visit today. Unprofessional and clueless are all I can us to describe the waitress I dealt with this evening.

Nearly every song they played was choreographed. The bar should have more two step and country swing lessons so that more people feel confident to dance. All I saw were the same 20 people aside from the few songs that everyone seemed to know. I don’t want to have to learn countless line dances just to enjoy this bar.

Theres some amazing dance instructors here and pleanty of drop dead, beautiful wemon to dance with that know how to do many dances very well. Food and drinks are great, felt pretty at home. No shame at all in trying some new dances and messing up. Theres normally somebody there looking to help you out.

One of the best country dance floors/venues in the whole country. - Welcoming for dancers of all levels. - Great lessons - Steady attendance by all ages. - Good DJ that keeps everyone happy with a mix of line and partner dances and requests. - The whole place is kept really clean including the bathrooms. - Friendly people. Good luck getting a drink though! Slow bartenders that will stand idly on the opposite side of the bar and ignore you rather than serve you. Apparently, they're not big on making money. Parking takes a bit of creativity and a couple prayers.

Fun place except the only dance you'll do is line dancing. Even if the night is labeled as a couples dance night the line dancers take over the floor every time even during the best swing songs. Bummer not coming back, but cool atmosphere.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We were here for my bachelorette party/dress try ons for my wedding and wanted to come have fun. We were having so much fun dancing and making new friends. We were watching some guys play pool and were cheering them on when they’d make a ball. The bouncer came up to us and said we were cut off and said we’d be kicked out. We asked why and he wouldn’t give us an answer. To say the least, it was fun while it lasted but don’t have fun, little man will get jealous!

Food was reasonable, drinks were okay, bathrooms were clean. Parking is not good, get there early, before 6 pm if you want to park in their lot. Other lots you can be towed from. Saturday nights are very crowded.

Horrible. Packed to the walls, rude bartender, pretty much a germ fest of 21 to 29-year-olds rubbing all over each other. Trying to walk through there was impossible. Men (little boys in grown bodies) don't even bother stepping aside for women to get through, they just push right through you. Yuck. Never again.

Nice country bar. They have line dancing every thu, fri and sat. Great crowd. Unfortunately, if you don't know how to line dance, you will feel like a fish out of water there. Though I love dancing and can dance for hours, I fail completely at line dancing. Been there 8 times till date, but never been able to line dance or enter the dance floor, and become tired to just watching the same old people dance and not able to do nothing. Hope they arrange lessons here. I like this place, but I feel useless there, as I have no clue how do line dance. Someone needs to help people like us!! It's a great place, certainly recommend going there. Unfortunately, I have never had good luck in this place and it's been a waste of time going to to Bushwackers for me. It's not a very welcoming and social place if you don't fit into being a white person. Not a place for colored people like me! The staff and some people look at you like you are an exotic animal.

They're not perfect. But they tried to be the day I was there. Ate a hamburger, french fried potatoes and a salad. Food and salad was very good no MSM in the salad and it was fresh. Would I go back? Yes.

Good place to go country dancing. There's not many places around Portland that you can go dance at, but Bushwackers is a fun time. Not rating 5 star because many other country dance halls have more amenities etc, but this is a fun place to have a good time.

I say if you are charging door cover and packing it so much, there's zero parking, overflow. That the owner can afford A/C and more staff. Few bartenders who seem either overworked and/or don't care to keep up the asking customers if they need drinks, nor acknowledge requests. But, everyone I encountered, as far as other customers, was very friendly. Dancing was fun to watch. Great music. Loved they had slot machines.

Was able to grab a bite to eat. Angela was awesome she offered a menu right away and asked if I needed a minute to decide. It’s my first time here. I ordered a water and a country western club hold the mayo. The club is pretty good better than I expected. The people are pretty cordial and the atmosphere is great.

Decent off the beaten path bar. Had a certain kind of "first responder" feel to it, but no complaints. Although, and not necessarily a bad thing, security seemed to be more focused on the parking lot and pretty much questioned everything and everyone who stood outside a vehicle for more than 30 seconds. But hey, nobody got their ride broken into.

This is the right place to learn line dance and social dance. The entrance fee is $5, bring it in cash for that as recommended. They have good vibes for social dance. However, it's painful to find a parking.

Food is overpriced but our server was phenomenal! Dance floor is overtaken by line dancers, so it is next to impossible to enjoy a couple's dance... Cover charge used to begin at 8pm. We arrived at 7:07 to enjoy dinner and were surprised that the cover charge now starts at 7pm. There is a beginner dance lesson at 8pm, so we sat around a long time before we could dance.

If you are looking for a place to learn how to line dance. They have good food and decent drink prices. Only downside they have a small parking lot so get there early.

A group went for the two step lessons and dancing. However, this place is all about line dancing. There was no two step dancing to speak of. We tried to share the dance floor with the line dancers but they kept running into everyone. This is not a country dance bar. If you love line dancing, this is your place.
