Visited this store 6/30/2020 and was appalled by the lack of facemask adherence BY EMPLOYEES! Approximately 2/3 were wearing one properly, but the rest were not. This had a trickle down effect where only 1/2 customers were wearing a mask. This was so bizarre after being at multiple competitors stores earlier in the day. I wish I had taken video of what I saw - some of it surely would have gone viral. Especially the worker in the garden center who had rolled her mask up into a strip that covered the tip of her nose, but not her mouth or nostrils. She was essentially wearing no mask at all. But there was also the worker in the bakery stocking the cases with baked goods that had no mask at all. While she was not behind the counter, isn't the bakery still food prep type work? I was greeted by many employees throughout the store without masks or with them below their faces not covering anything. Yet there were some doing the right thing. I thought it odd, but commendable that the electronics department (with the youngest looking employees) was in total compliance. As was the cashier at their north entrance - who also politely reminded those in line that were crowding to please maintain social distancing (didn't get her name, but she was there around 2:30pm). What a phenomenal example she set! It's too bad the rest of the store could not follow her cue.

This is the place that fired a lady after 39 years of faithful and loyal service because she stopped a would-be thief from stealing from the store. All she did was take the item out of the thieves hand there's no altercation no words exchanged and they fired her for it. I will no longer use their store.

I have been shopping at the North Salem Fred Meyer since 1979. I have always had a pleasant shopping experience. I shop here because Walmart & Safeway give you awful customer service - so I became tired of being treated so bad. Fred Meyer rules.

I do a community toy drive every year for Christmas for children. There was some good deals on toys here. So I came here & dropped over $200.00 on toys. Thanks for the deals Fred Meyer. I was able to get more toys than last year shopping elsewhere. 5/5!!

Good place to buy groceries and body care products. The parking lot is big. The electronics section doesn’t have the best selection. You can also get furniture, clothes medications and more here. Fred Meyer/Kroger seems to have a good selection on lower calorie and lower carb options for foods.

I do not recommend buying your holiday meals from fred meyer. I was expecting something a lot different when I purchased the thanksgiving dinner. It was a deli style wrapped ham that you would buy for sandwiches and then all the sides are in those pre packaged containers that you microwave. I just expected more of a precooked meal that you just reheat. I could of went and grabbed my own pre packaged containers of foods and a spiral ham

I like Fred Myers and have shopped here for 30 years. However, I find the constant anti theft and security announcements and people obviously following customers very unsettling and intimidating. It makes me extremely uncomfortable when I shop there. The other night one of their undercover security people followed me all over. It has really gone too far. I get people steal and that is bad, but prevention shouldn't create a hostile environment for all legitimate customers. Fred Meyer is the only store that does this and I am considering shopping elsewhere because of it.

Love Love Love Fred Meyer. My mom and I do adult coloring together and she lives out of state so it's nice to go in and find new books to send to her so we can keep coloring. Thank you for having a different selection of adult coloring books Fred Meyer!

I bought a 6 foot table online and when I pick it up they give me a 3 foot table. their justification is that they did not have. and that if I want my money back I will wait 3 days for the bank to reimburse me. and it still appears that the items are available on the store website.

Ordered two cases of sparkling wine for an anniversary celebration. They were unable to fulfill the order as promised and did not contact us. This left us in a bind.

Probably the worst deli out of all Fred Meyers, and I commute down here everyday from Portland. 3 times I’ve tried their chicken, and it’s drier than the worst overcooked Thanksgiving Turkey. If you do eat the chicken, do so near someone else in case of choking, or dunk it in water first.

I shop exclusively at Fred Meyer's. I love the fresh produce, organic products, but most of all I love savings. The digital coupons, weekly circular, and the personal coupons received in the mail are just awesome. There is just no reason to shop elsewhere when you can find anything you need or want! Happy shopping.

  • 5/5 mary b. 5 years ago on Google
It's a great place to shop!! It would be awesome and bragworthy if we could use the coupons more than once.

I love shopping at Fred Meyers. They have everything under one roof from clothes, gardening, grocery's, and very nice quality furniture. There prices are fair and they also have a day care for shoppers. I have been shopping here for years.

I bought a pair of shoes for my cousin for Christmas and gave them to her early. There was a defect in them that wasn’t obvious. Went to exchange them and they wouldn’t because I bought them on Black Friday. So hopefully all the toys I bought my kids for Christmas aren’t defective because obviously I can’t exchange them.

Lines all the way down the freezer section, and only 2 check out lanes open. Seeing a few managers just standing there and not opening up a new lane.

It was a very easy shop today. The store was very well stocked on the items I was looking for. If there wasn't an item that I was looking for the employees were very happy to help. I was even able to go to the pharmacy for my immunizations without a horrific waiting time. Ricky at self check is the best. Very friendly and helpful.

Burger meat was like hockey pucks. Hard and dry, chicken sandwich was dry as well, bacon was dry and hard. Didn't have lettuce, onion, or tomato on chicken sandwich. Waitress was nice. Don't think we will go back though. Waitress asked for a discount and the couple dollars off was a joke. The pancakes the little ones got were good but hashbrowns were also nearly burnt. Maybe grill was too hot.

I shop here quite often beings it's close to my home and I must say the staff has really taken a decline in the recent year or so I tell you I could not find anyone to help me the other day and when I finally found someone he informed me " no his department" and walked away... I mean really other then that I love Freddie's quality products fair pricing and less crowded as other stores. Just wish good quality employees would come along.

  • 1/5 Devin A. 7 months ago on Google
Everybody knows fred Meyer is way too pricey but you hope for good quality nope. I bought two different packs of cherry tomatoes. Both were extremely moldy. 10/31/23. Something like $5.00/ pack :(

Love the location, always find what I need. They have items some other stores don't have which I love. Massive tea section which is great for me and the spicy chicken fries are 10/10

We used to love freds. THE WORST SLOWEST CHECKERS ON THE PLANET! Keizer the worst, South Salem right up there. TERRIBLE that such a great chain went downhill so fast.

  • 3/5 John N. 1 year ago on Google
Freddie's is Freddie's they always have good service. One thing though some departments need to work on customers service rather then focus on people who are trying to walk out with something. My experience me and my wife were shopping we were at the counter paying for our food and other things as she was paying I watch a guy literally walked out with a leather jacket I said something to a employee who said there's nothing we can do and out the door he went. I was shocked. No wonder why our prices are rising we are paying for people who walked out of all retailers stores. Put a stop to it it's insane what's going to in this time of ages This is my opinion only.

Like always, the local Fred Meyer store is a nice place for grocery shopping. Only bad thing is that most of the available coupons are now for delivery or pick up only. Not much fun when you are a in store shopper

  • 4/5 waran d. 1 year ago on Google
Fairly large supermarket. They have a variety of products including groceries, home decor, pharmacy and other essential supplies.

  • 3/5 Krista P. 1 year ago on Google
Staff is nice, but there are never enough checkstands open and the uscan always has a massive line of peo0pe with full carts. There is no 10 items or less line which makes it impossible to run in for just 1 or 2 things. 17 minutes in line to buy 1 bottle of dishsoap tonight....

  • 2/5 Anthony G. 1 year ago on Google
I like Fred Meyer but their fulfillment sucks. Ordered, arranged pickup, called an hour before to be told now can't be fulfilled. What's the point of all your commercials if it doesn't work?

  • 5/5 Anitaa H. 10 months ago on Google
Staff helpful. I was looking for two unusual items and staff directed me right to them. Staff were easy to find. Great selection of many items. Freddie's is one of my go to places.

  • 2/5 Becca D. 1 year ago on Google
This store doesn’t have enough self-check out stations and they rarely have enough cashiers. The lines are usually long. This is my least favorite fred Meyer in the Salem area.

  • 1/5 Aniri P. 4 years ago on Google
They cannot resolve conflicts with customers: instead of fire a negligent employee, they kicked out customer that employee didn’t like.

  • 2/5 Christopher C. 3 years ago on Google
Won’t accept returns on any items even with receipts this is pure evil and they use covid as a excuse to do it they are making millions of dollars off people but can’t accept a return don’t do business here shop at other stores until they change the return policy

Always a nice place for a one stop shop for all. I like it more now that they have finished the remodeling. It is always busy

Safe, clean, friendly, prices clearly shown but both paper shelf pricing and electronic registry pricing didn't match. Didn't want to argue being deaf so I paid and left. Came here because I had nobody to shop for me, but I always skip this store for several years now.

  • 4/5 Darlene C. 4 years ago on Google
As with all Fred Meyers, unless you're going for the special sale items, a bit on the pricey side. The thing is, they're hard to resist because they just have so dang much to wander through. Lol. They do have quite a selection of gluten free items. That's helpful.

  • 5/5 Marcie C. 4 years ago on Google
Good selection of almost anything you might need and open pretty late too...

  • 5/5 Sean M. 5 years ago on Google
Truly a one-stop shopping experience and place you can go for everything your family needs. And you won't have to sacrifice quality like with other "supercenter" stores as Freddy's packs its shelves with quality and American made goods, especially from suppliers in the Pacific Northwest. Overall, one of the best possible places to shop at for groceries and household items.

  • 5/5 Sharon Z. 5 years ago on Google

I came to Fred Meyer looking for some boxes, the produce guy was nowhere to be found so I went up to customer service and they called him... The nice lady asked if there was any boxes in the back, he promptly said no... I've worked with Fred Meyers so I know where the boxes are kept I went back there and I helped him get off work a little early now he doesn't have to crush it all these boxes that were just sitting there in a pile. Thank you Dan the lazy produce man... Your disservice and lack of customer service hopefully will not go unnoticed

Fred Meyer is choosing to IGNORE the SAFETY and HEALTH of the PUBLIC. I will shop at costco where masks are mandatory. I will NOT support this establishment.

My husband went to this Fred Meyer today 5/7/20 to buy a pack of beer. Due to the long lines, he went to the register closest to the door at the main entrance (near the clothes.) As he approached, the lady working at the cash register at approximately 5:10pm asked for his ID (as usual) then rudely asked how he got there. He replied “I drove?” Then she said “this isn’t an ID To be driving.” I’m glad I was not there because then she would have learned how to act in a customer service position and reminded her she is not the police LOL. It’s little things like this that can have a negative impact on someone’s day. Other than that, we’ve always had great service at the regular check out lines. And there’s usually always someone around to help.

Bought eggs online o. September 15th 2019 because I didn't have my card on me. Went to the store went to customer service, the lady obviously had no clue what she was doing and was extremely lazy. She called the pick up person and they said they don't pick my order ( one thing of eggs) tell noon! I asked if I could just get them myself the lady just looked at me like uh I don't know. Instead of asking the pick up person if I could she just had the order cancelled and wanted me to pay for them now. I said I don't have my card that's why I ordered them online...and she didn't say anything else. Please train your employees better. Very unprofessional and wouldn't offer any other solution

This store always has zero bags in the self checkout. Every single time i drop and break groceries transporting them. I told the manager and he acted like he didn't know what i was talking about. I'm discussing it with corporate right now. I can never go to this location ever again.

  • 3/5 kiki m. 5 years ago on Google
Usually good place to shop but for some reason they had so many miss labeled items one day with a sale price. And when I asked about the item costing a little more than it should, it seems that sign I saw that said it was on sale just disappeared after I asked about it.
