I gotta say, Hugh has been the best acting teacher/coach, whatever you want to call it. I highly recommend this place for any aspiring actors. Wonderful experience. The other students and staff were amazing as well. This is the best place to go to if your just starting out on your acting career! You learn a lot and the cost isn’t as crazy as any other place. If you want to gain more confidence, learn how to get out of your own head, push yourself out of your comfort zone, and/or become a more authentic actor then you should take a class at The Actors Loft! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The Actors Loft, specifically Hugh, has helped me grow as a person and as an actor and I will forever be grateful! As Hugh always says, “You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain”!

The Fundamentals of Acting class series is the first acting class I've ever taken. I had such an absolute blast that I'm planning to continue with the Character and Scene Study class series. I had so much fun learning from Hugh and acting with peers! I particularly appreciate Hugh's kindness, clarity, patience, humor, attention to detail, and organization. He provides specific, constructive feedback, keeps things simple, articulates concepts in a manner that is easily digestible, and consistently reviews concepts to ensure our foundation is solid. Thank you for all you do, Hugh!

I was a bit skeptical about joining this class but I wanted to get out of the house and do something that interested me. What a great space and a great time I had with all the other students and what a great instructor (Hugh). I highly recommend anyone interested in acting to take this class (Fundamentals in Acting). You might even have some fun!

I took the Fundamentals of Acting course with Hugh. I loved the class. The classes were very structured, each class building upon the previous one. Hugh is a great teacher and what impressed me the most is the amount of thought and effort he put in each class. The class is for any body - from aspiring actors to someone like me who just wanted to try and experience something new.

Most professional, caring and passionate Teacher/person. So far my experience here at the Loft has been amazing, I’m always looking forward to my next class and lesson. He pushes you with such care that you can feel he wants the best for you and knows you are capable. Taking my third class here and I have no regrets. The atmosphere is welcoming, great energy and people. I would 100% recommended anyone who is willing to take that step into acting, to take it here.

After attending this class I can definitely confirm that the material, lessons, exercises, environment, & etc are the best I’ve witnessed. Hugh is truly a great teacher!
