The food here was phenomenal. My wife and I had between us an Angus burger, chicken sandwich, pulled pork nachos, and a peanut butter ice cream pie. All of it was great and the customer service was great as well.

I'm pretty sure this place hasn't been cleaned since the last time I was here, and that was 1998. We should have left, but we stayed and ordered. We had a 1/2 slab of ribs and fries. There was only about 2 oz of meat on the ribs. The fries are cheap, tiny little fries that we're overcooked. I agree with all of the other one-star reviews. I am absolutely puzzled how people leave this place a 5 star review!? It's nasty, extremely loud, very cold, and management doesn't care if you're happier or not. I'm pretty sure if we swap this place and put the cultures in Petri dish. We can grow all kinds of amazing things.!😭 Now, it's time for a shower!

We ended up here after other plans were cancelled at the last minute. We started at Red Coat but with the popularity of that place, it was a longer wait then the group wanted to wait. So we all headed across the road to Duggan's Irish Pub. No real disappointment, everything went well and the food was good. I had the Scottish Salmon, wonderful flavor and some of the best asparagus I have had all year. The rice pilaf was a little basic for me and the same kind that you would get at any other restaurant. I must say that the salad was bigger than normal and everything was fresh. Everyone was very happy and full when we left

I love Duggans burgers and fries. The service is always quick and friendly. It never gets old. Such a great place to go. Their big cheif is the best, fries are crispy, great coleslaw too!

The place is great, excellent atmosphere, nice decoration. Food good and my baby ribs were delicious but the burger was ok, a little small. That’s why we ordered ribs full rack so my husband could eat more. Good service and normal price.

This was the most outrageous time that I have ever had at any pub in the world. I am here from out of Town and witnessed the bartender speaking ruthlessly to the healthcare workers and refusing to serve them. This is entirely unacceptable to treat our heroes this way. 0 stars and Shayna (Bartender) should be facing disciplinary actions immediately or shouldn't even work in this environment. It is truly sad how we treat our front line heroes that are just blowing off some steam.

Really cool atmosphere: probably best spot for the Dream Cruise. The Big Chief signature burger is delicious. Pretty good coleslaw & chili cheese fries too.

What can I say? Duggan’s is excellent. I have been coming here since the mid-’90s—great food, excellent customer service. I love hanging out on the second floor when they open up the windows on the second floor. I also have to say the burgers are top-notch. I also need to point out that I have spent many st Patricks day and dream cruise. Some of my best memories from my late 20’s I have spent here.

Still a great burger on Woodward ave. Sat upstairs with the windows open and shot some pool. Good service from the staff, affordable food that's above average and a good happy hour. The big chief is still as good as ever, definitely would recommend it as one of the better burgers in the area.I honestly have not tried much besides burgers and apps on the menu although noticed fish and chips is a common order at tables. Usually a fun crowd during the summer months and have been to some huge parties during the dream cruise here. Will be back again.

Duncan’s on Wooward was a classic bar restaurant.   I remember it from high school.   What I saw today, it became nothing special. The drink was priced well and the taste was nothing really special for a whiskey sour.   It was large enough for one with what's going on. The burger was cooked well enough.   It was the medium rare as requested.   The thick onion was a little overpowering.  The blue cheese only came out in one bite.  The biggest problem with the burnt char.   You could tell the cooking team did not clean the grill in a while.    The fries were nothing special. The biggest problem of the night was the service and other items.   I am guessing the bar was being run by the manager or owner.  If you knew the guy,  you were okay.  If you did not, It sucks completely.  My group was ignored a few times .  The second area was the price grab and other areas.    It is advertising free wifi on the door. Once you got in the place, it was locked down.  The fries were extra and nothing special.  There were surcharges on certain Items because they did not want to reprint menus.   It was the second place in all my places that did the Credit 3 percent overcharge. Honestly I would stay away.  Let It live as an icon not as a true restaurant.

Shout out Rachel ..great waitress, so nice and as busy as it was she still provided great service downstairs! Love this place ...if you've never been, don't question it, just go!!

Burger & Beer Place. Big Chief Burger is what a Big Mac used to be. Sweet Pickles & Curry Sauce give it a little smack. One of my favorites. Big Salads & Fried Fish. Bar Food. Service is usually pretty good. I did have a reliable friend who bought a winning lottery ticket there & waitress scammed it. Duggan’s did nothing for him. Would watch myself there.

We used to like this place which is the only reason I gave them two stars. I don't normally give reviews but after this visit I had to. They charged almost double the prices the week before the dream cruise than were advertised on their website and then had the nerve to charge a credit card fee on top of that. The receipt is misleading. It shows two different prices. One claiming to be for cash and one the total which would make you think the total is the credit card price but no! On top of the total they charge an additional 3% fee. When I asked about this the staff was rude about it. We ordered a specialty beer and they were out of it, so we ordered an Oberon. They didn't change it on the bill. I asked if the were the same price and the waiter said no, Oberon is cheaper. Then he back peddled after I said well you charge us for the other one. At that point he claimed they were the same price. I definitely do not recommend this place. Oh and the chicken sandwich I had was terrible and not worth the money at all! It was over cooked and was more bun than chicken. I should have sent it back but it took so long to get waited on and then to get our food that I didn't bother.

We came for Saint Patrick's Day. The place was packed, standing room only. We waited for a table to clear, and after 30 minutes we were seated. Not bad, considering how busy they place was! Our waitress was constantly moving, single handedly taking care of more many tables. She never stopped! Drinks were delicious, but so was the food! The kitchen was cranking out the dishes! I ordered the Shepard's pie, which was delicious, but you could easily call it baked mashed potatoes with a hint of beef. They have an impressive number of beers and ciders on tap.

Great food here, it’s just always understaffed. You have to wait for a nice long while for pretty much anything (another round, food after another round, Your Bill) … if it weren’t for their big chief burger being so tasty, I’d never come here, period. Duggans Hack: Order everything you want as soon as you get in and tell them to close you out immediately after placing order, or they can cancel your order— thank me later

Very lay back fun pub to go, too. Service was good. Food came out fast, and drinks made great. Bathroom ( ladies' room ) a little tight fit . Other than that, it was a nice place to go and hang out.

Met my pops & uncle for lunch. We grabbed a booth up stairs with a nice view of Woodward Ave. & the old abandoned Pasquales. Decent bar food, great view & I must admit, the waitress upstairs was doing laps, hustling hard. Wish I would had her snap a photo, can’t remember the last time I hung out with these two Knuckleheads. We had a great visit. I snagged the Cuban with fries & a side of slaw. Pork was a little mushy, ham was good. Coleslaw was kinda bland. My uncle’s Susie Q chicken would probably be a better choice on my next visit.

Best family owned, Irish pub in Michigan. Awesome ambiance if down stairs pub and upstairs fun over looking the historic Woodward Ave! This is a must see for local or any CAR aficionado. The team is super welcoming and fun. This Irish Pub is way better than you'd expect! Check it out

Service was great. Food was good and heavy bar food. I gave it 2 stars because it was so dirty!!! Looked like they hadn’t vacuumed all year and the whole place smelled dingy. The place needs to be deep cleaned from top to bottom. I can’t imagine what the kitchen is like if the whole restaurant area where all the customers sit is filthy. We won’t be back not even for a drink unfortunately.

Love chilling upstairs with the windows open! Food and drinks have always been decent for me. I'm also pretty sure there's a pool table upstairs

I don’t normally leave reviews but just had to this time. I grew up here and used to love this place but ordered tonight( not a particularly busy nite) and the waitress put the incorrect order in. It was corrected however when the to-go order was handed to me I thought all was good. Returned home to find it was not correct one item was missing so I returned and the waitress said oh they were supposed to put it in the bag but did not so she had it on the bar waiting. Then I get home and and the sandwich was wrong again. Sorry but I won’t be returning.

Always a consistent place for fun time, great food (not typical bar food), staff is awesome and the race car theme is perfect. plus having the upper floor open to outside is a plus.

So... it's been a minute since we've been to Duggan's. So, we decided to stop in for dinner with another couple. Well, our service was less then great. I hate to give you any negative feedback but I hope it'll be beneficial. Our waitress struggled at following up or checking on us... even for our drink refills. Secondly, my husband's piedmont burger was greasy and luke warm. I was really hoping to have one of those delicious memorable experiences. I was so disappointed I didn't even bother to ask for dessert.

Had the famous big chief just as it on the menu. Big burger and a great taste. The fries were perfect too. The only thing I could recommend is that they carry "Miller High life".

Pub style atmosphere. Good was tasty with good portions. Server was great and very on top of things. Had our work Christmas party here. Nobody in our group had a complaint. Would definitely go again for food or drinks.

It's always fun to eat at Duggins upstairs and sit overlooking Woodward Ave. Very friendly service staff. The perch dinner was tasty and perfectly cooked. The shepherd's pie recipe had changed from our last visit and didn't taste as homemade as in the past. Will go for a burger instead the next time we are in Michigan visiting.

I was sadly surprised that on a Thursday evening I was kicked out of the upstairs because I am under 21. I am 20 years old and I understand this is not un heard of but there is a right and a wrong way to make a individual aware of this. I was rudely cut off as the waitress came over as she asked my age. I was sitting in the booth with my both of my parents. Of course, it is dream cruise weekend and things can get crazy upstairs. The place was about half full and a calm atmosphere, no reason I should not be able to be up there enjoying a meal with my parents. Keep in my mind it was also a rainy dream cruise night so it was definitely not busy. So I ended up eating my dinner downstairs with no music and basically got booted to half the experience of what it could have been. The waitress downstairs was amazing and very apologetic, I appreciate this very much. Dakota was very helpful, wonderful waitress. Would have been an outstanding experience If we could have sat upstairs it is a completely different atmosphere up there.

Good food and beer. They have a wonderful dine in area with open window view. Prices are affordable. The services were talking bit long.

Is a great place to eat good food. The service was awesome, and the views just as awesome. On the second level, they have a great view of Woodward. You can eat and see all of the classic cars from there. They also have a street cam so you can check it out on one of their TVs.

Typical bar food but their main famous burger is really something special. As well a good place for the Detroit dream cruise. And up stairs has a great view and atmosphere. But I don't think there is a elevator

Big Chief sauce might be the best thing I ever tasted. Craving it today after trying it the first time yesterday. Amazing. Burger was good. The staff was fast with getting drinks and food out. I can see why they've been around for a while.

Duggan's has been a favorite for decades in this area. The burgers are always great ( the big chief is my favorite), everyone enjoyed their food and drinks in the group. Their rumrunner is excellent. Service is excellent. The only thing wrong with this place is the booths are getting tattered and the restrooms are sketchy at best.

We had a great experience. The food is pure flavor and deliciousness. Loved the cider beer and the Mother Clucker is phenomenal. Burger was super tender. The Peanut Butter ice cream pie was a smooth dessert that i loved. Customer service was very good and warm. Don’t remember his name but he was very kind and attentive. Great view. All good things. Can’t wait to go again
