I love the rotating menus monthly as this spot. Great idea and the food has been relatively solid for the most part. If you have an adventurous palette at all, it’s worth a shot!

Visited frame bar for the Star Wars themed dinner a month ago or so. The service was great and the dinner tasted pretty good. I will say personally the venue didn’t really theme like a Star Wars theme nor did it feel comfortable sitting on those benches. The dessert was aesthetically pleasing but didn’t taste much in terms of a pudding. The soup could’ve had some more seasoning but overall it was a great tasting course. I also think the drink package shouldn’t include several Rose options since it doesn’t really fit well with soup or other dishes.

Attended a Harry Potter themed dinner event. The ambience and decor was amazing. The food was very good, but didn't blow my mind. We didn't try any of the specialty cocktails because of the price and the ingredients being a little too creative (no raw egg for me in a drink). Bottles of wine were quite expensive. Service was incredible & the staff were professional and friendly. I would definitely go back. But have to save up, we easily spent more than $100 per person.

Very cozy and comfortable. A Chef E had a residency there this summer. Brunch and Bounce. The food was amazing and the server we had was so sweet and on point. My plus one really enjoyed the drinks off the brunch menu. I will definitely go back on a regular degular day.

My bestie and I attended during Chef Eddie Vargas’s residency for her birthday. The menu featured some amazing Mexican eats that were both authentic but elevated. We eat out a lot- and we both agreed that this was our best meal this year. Chef Vargas stopped by our table and was an absolute gem… giving us some insight into how he developed his recipes and some tips to implement when doing our own hosting. We plan on returning and definitely will attend his future events. Also a shout out to our server Yousef for being amazing and attentive. Delicious food, great staff, beautiful vibe… All in all a 100/10 experience.

Enjoyed the L.A. Ramen vegan menu in December 2021. Exquisite starters - especially the "Ahi" Crisp and Crispy Rice Cake Avocado Toast. Sadly, they were out of the Spam-like Omni Pork, but the Vegan Egg was amazingly tasty. A hearty and filling ramen dish. I appreciate that they catered to walk-ins, with two seats at the bar. A great, last-minute decision for us to sample the FRAMEbar.

With monthly rotating chefs and a curated wine program FrameBar can surely satisfy all kinds of tastes and preferences with customer service always at the front line. This past weekend we made it to Day of the DeadBar by Chef Eddie Vargas, and what a delight it was. Food could not have been more authentic and the chef was super attentive as he came to our table to explain some of the dishes; and he even chatted a bit more with us! Overall a phenomenal experience at Frame and hope this amazing Chef gets featured many more times!

I attended a Mardi Gras celebration pop up in the rear section with about 40 people. The space has so much character and grace. A little about the staff: The event lady was the best. Kind , courteous and pleasant to chat with Their was a beautiful Asian American lady server in the front area- again the BEST. The host seating folks at tables…. Well let’s just say he searching for a job because he didn’t seem like he enjoyed his job. Courteous but bland and not 1 smile Back to the pop up event in their rear. It was awesome! I asked to be put on their mail list to see all the great ways they are activating the rear space. The event person said they feature great local chef’s and teach classes but there was more! Chef E was the BEST and her food selection was 10/10. I will be back to experience the restaurant and keep my eyes open for more cool pop ups. Parking is in the neighborhood but it’s very safe…. Maybe 1-2 block walk depending on how crowded it is….. I highly recommend this experience!

If you want a one of a kind dining experience, make sure you go to an event that Chef Barrera is curating. SteakBAR was out of this world. Every bite is an architecture of flavor that develops and refines your meal as you progress through each dish. The layers of flavor are transcendent and I can honestly say it was the best meal I have ever eaten.

I have been to two rotations of Chefs Gabriel and Gabriela Botezan’s menus and loved them both. The food has been outstanding, as well as the cocktails. The menu and drinks are very thoughtfully curated to fit the menu’s theme.

I ate here on Wednesday night (Feb 7 2024) with a large group, 12 people for a friend's birthday, and it was fantastic! The food and drinks were incredible, but I was most impressed with our server, a guy with a black beanie and beard. Our group split our check into 6 different checks and I imagine it was such a pain to organize everything given we all had multiple plates and drinks. He was so friendly, helpful, and just a great server. Thanks for a great experience! I have also been once before and it was great then too. Love this place

Thoroughly enjoyed the live entertainment in the adjoining tent area. Dude was heeelarious! Unfortunately, the bar service was subpar. Until we ventured inside. Nice ambiance. But we chose to sit on the patio. Emily was very pleasant and rectified the drink situation by taking our drinks and returning with proper Old Fashions. Her service and food suggestions were on point. Even after we ventured inside for another drink and dessert. The chef even came out and we spoke about the music. Which featured my favorite song and one of the best albums ever made; Donald Byrd/Places and Spaces. There is also a private dining area in the rear where guests can cook or watch the chef. Nice spot, I will return. A+

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Transylvanian Christmas Menu, and I must say it was a delightful culinary journey. The menu featured a selection of traditional Romanian dishes that showcased the unique flavors and ingredients of the region. To start, I enjoyed the "Mamaliga" (Polenta) with Creamy Polenta, Wild Mushroom Ragu, and Crispy Bacon. The polenta was cooked to perfection, with a creamy texture that complemented the earthy flavors of the wild mushroom ragu. The crispy bacon added a delightful crunch and savory note to the dish. Next on the menu was the "Langos," a delicious treat consisting of a fried bread topped with Sour Cream, Feta Cheese, and Garlic. The combination of tangy sour cream, creamy feta cheese, and aromatic garlic created a harmonious blend of flavors that left me craving for more. One of the standout dishes was the "Varza a la Clui," which featured Sauerkraut, Rice, and Ground Pork. The sauerkraut provided a tangy and slightly sour taste, perfectly balanced with the savory ground pork and fluffy rice. This comforting dish showcased the rich and hearty flavors of Romanian cuisine. The main course, "Porc," consisted of a tender and juicy Pork Shoulder Steak served with Hand Cut Fries and Garlic Sauce. The pork was cooked to perfection, retaining its succulence and flavor. The hand-cut fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, while the garlic sauce added a delightful zing to the dish. To end the meal on a sweet note, I indulged in the "Dulcegarii de Särbätori," a Walnut and Rum "Cozonac" Sweet Bread, along with Traditional Mini Melt-in-Your-Mouth Crescents. The "Cozonac" was moist and loaded with the rich flavors of walnuts and rum, while the mini crescents melted in my mouth, leaving a lingering sweetness. Overall, the Transylvanian Christmas Menu provided a wonderful culinary experience that transported me to the heart of Romania. The carefully crafted dishes showcased the vibrant flavors and traditional ingredients of the region. The attention to detail in both preparation and presentation was evident, and the friendly and knowledgeable staff added to the overall dining experience. I would highly recommend this menu to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Romanian cuisine. Congratulations to Gabi, Gabriela and the whole team!

Absolutely outstanding bar experience. Went to Framebar and was warmly greeted on entry, and it has a fantastic ambiance. Sat at the bar and the Bartender was also very friendly with great conversation and he mixes a perfect Old Fashioned . Food was beyond amazing. The bar does food with different themes on a monthly basis and for May 2022 it was Spanish Tapas. To say every tapas dish tried was great was an understatement. Absolutely perfect for a date night out.

The service and ambience is lovely, but the food should speak for itself. It's fancy food that don't hit the spot. We didn't order alcohol, and ended up with a $100 bill. I miss Joe Bar.

The bartenders were really nice and insightful since it was my first time here. I was already a little tipsy coming here but everyone was kind and informative when ordering drinks and foods. They briefly talked about about how the restaurant is overall and what to expect especially with future events. The vibe here is great, the design is perfect and the drinks/food is everything you would need for a night out.

The Harry Potter feast was incredible! The maple sweet potato purée was truly heavenly. The cocktails were perfect! The restaurant atmosphere was fancy, but approachable and fun. I am so happy we have some many talented people in Hazel Park making incredible food!

Flew in late due to multiple delays. Not a lot of restaurants open at 10pm, and this was a pleasant surprise, well worth the drive. Drinks had great flavor, the lamb shank was super tender, the beets were really unusual in a good way, and the chocolate dessert was satisfying without being overly sweet.

Attended the seafood bar dinner. Drinks and pairing were on point and very enjoyable. Clam chowder amazing. Scampi alright...needed salt/heat/acid. Crab roll good. Scallop risotto...that was slop...like no flavor and mushy. Key lime pie was created by an 8th grader. Not sure the likelihood of returning. Ambiance and service 💯

The ambiance is a 10 for sure! The food was a 6 out of 10. The jambalaya was cold and dry. The shrimp for the shrimp and grits comes with the full head on but it's not cleaned in the inside. Had poop in the inside. The grits were very skimpy. The blackened catfish was good, the grit cake was the star. Cornbread was just ok. Was still hungry when I left. Overall I can say that I been. Not somewhere I have to return. Kind of disappointed. Like I got catfished. What I wanted vs what I got. Not worth $145 plus tip. Customer service was great!

I'm just wrapping up my meal now. I'm here for STEAKbar and I can say, without question, this is the best food I've eaten in my life. This menu is a treasure and Chef Barrera is deeply knowledgeable and skilled. I would add a 6th star without question if that were an option.

We had such a great time last night at the Cocktails and Comedy event! The Big Top tent is awesome - so well-executed, breezy and perfect for evening cocktails. The decor is top-notch and the addition of dedicated bar is so smart. The drinks were delicious and the Date Old Fashioned was one of the best old fashioned variations I’ve had. The staff was friendly and attentive - they are doing a fantastic job. We were welcomed, had the process explained to us and every single person we came in contact with was great. We came inside for a snack after the comedy show and our food was spectacular and came out so quickly. I just wanted to thank the frame crew for a great evening. We are absolutely planning a return visit!
