DELICIOUS 🤤 It was my first time at this place and I couldn’t be happier. The food was amazing. I never had mac & cheese like what I had here, the reuben was melting off and the fish & chips was really good too. I could feel everything was made fresh and nothing out of freezer. The restaurant was also clean and nice, our waitress Hailee was really friendly and helpful. Everything about this place was unbelievably good. Highly recommend

I've seen the future. Gleaming city towers reaching into the heavens like great pillars holding up the sky. I've felt deaths cold grip slacken and release at the hands of medical magic you couldn't imagine. Kilometer long interstellar starships burning hard and fast for new suns, fusion tails 50 clicks long stretching out behind them like giant candles roaring through the darkness. For we were born of stars and we are destined to return to them. Do not fear the road ahead, for it is paved in miracles of science and engineering, of love and oneness.

I can’t believe I’m giving bar food five stars but everything about McShane’s was top notch. We started dinner with the Irish Egg Rolls which are corned beef and cabbage filled egg rolls. Very crispy on the outside and really delicious with a little of the mustard dip they provide. Be careful though they are molten lava hot when they come to the table. We also got a small Mac n Cheese with the meal to try it out. It is the cheesiest Mac n cheese from a restaurant that I’ve even had but not in a greasy way just rich and delicious. My wife really loved her Rueben! Nice and full of meat and the bread was very soft and fresh. The fish n chips were super crispy on the outside and really good. And I’m not normally a big fan of steak fries or coleslaw but they were so good I finished both. The coleslaw has a great balance of tang and sweet. 2 Smithwicks Pints 1 Irish egg roll 1 small Mac n cheese 1 Rueben meal 1 fish n chips Total bill before tip $58 Great food and great value! Also props to Haley our server.

We called ahead of time to see if we could make reservations for a large group. They told us no. When we got there the “manager” who goes by ‘Shorty’ was rude and not helpful. We parked in their parking lot to take the shuttle to the Luke Combs concert. We came back to our cars after the concert and found them with busted windows and broken into with stuff stolen! Unreal when you pay for parking at Mcshane’s to eat and take the shuttle to the concert, you feel like your vehicle should be safe! I feel bad for all my friends with their damaged vehicles and stuff stolen! When we went back into the bar to tell the “manager” he was extremely rude and even tried to fight a 24 year old girl in our party. Will definitely not be going back and don’t recommend you leave your cars there and take the shuttle next time you are attending an event downtown.

Went for a late dinner. Our server AND bartender Dustin was great… I ordered the Irish whiskey steak came out the wrong temperature (ordered medium came out well done) it was pretty good the second time around Mac n cheese and salmon dip were VERY good. French onion soup wasn’t good AT ALL.. but the BEER CAN CHICKEN my husband ordered was absolutely DIVINE!! Reasonable drink and menu prices will return.

The shepard's pie was as big as my head and the people there are really top notch. There was a wreck at the nearby intersection and everyone jumped up to go help. Great community there.

I am a big fan of fish and chips and was craving for it a couple of days ago while at work. I placed the order online and scheduled a pick up time. Got the confirmation text. Went to pick up the order but was told the order wasn’t entered in their system (I am assuming this is done manually by one of their staff but somehow missed it). Long story short, I waited there for about 20-25 mins while they cooked my food. This didn’t bother me much as it was only a matter of a little inconvenience and work was fairly light that day. The manager apologized for my inconvenience and rushed the order. I brought the food back (my coworker also had ordered the same). There were 3 pieces of fish, potato fries, cornbread, coleslaw, tartar sauce and a piece of lettuce. The first two pieces tasted reasonable and the coleslaw was very good. The fries were mediocre at best. As soon as I cut the 3rd piece open there was a foul smell. First I thought it was coming from somewhere else but then realized it was the fish! It was a very strong, foul, nauseating smell! I threw whatever was left in garbage. I am not sure what exactly happened. I was very disappointed as this ruined my fish and chips experience and won’t be eating any from anywhere for a long time. The pieces my coworker got were fine. I didn’t reach out to the restaurant to let them know right away (I should have) but will be contacting them to let them know so they can check their inventory and make sure they don’t have any more of the bad ones.

This place is a wonderful resteraunt. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Additionally, the menu was electronic. They supply you with a nice tablet that displays the food/alcohol menus. My party sat at the bar, and you could get a real Irish-American feel from the ambiance of the environment. The food was amazing. I ordered the McShane burger medium rare. It was one of the better burgers I have had from a tavern/pub in a very long time. The cooks came out to the bar, and we were sure to compliment them on such great tasting food. I also tried the sweet potato fries, and they were cooked perfectly. It was slightly crispy on the outside, nice and warm and soft/firm inside. Don't change those recipes, McShane. I will be visiting again in the future.

Nice place enjoy a good meal. They have one of the best Bloody Mary stations around. They provide you with a glass and you can add whatever ingredients you want.

Was recommended by a regular, to come here tonight because they still serve food late. Wow! Good fish and chips (fries, and they were extra tasty), you get more than enough tartar sauce, a good sized cole slaw and a little piece of cornbread. Waitress Haley was super sweet, even though it was late (1am), nice lady full of smiles brought out the food. Restaurant is pretty big, and has a patio with a bar outside. Good music playing, pool and games in the other room with a bar. I've always wanted to come and I'm sorry it wasn't sooner. I can't wait to try other things on the menu. I heard that many things were really good. Thank you for the great experience! Much appreciated!

Late night dine in. Typical Irish bar setting, dark, sports channel on TVs, and loud. As soon as you walk into the space you get the aroma of beer. Burger and fries were great. Thick cut fries, perfect ratio of meat to bread with toppings. Drinks were okay, not your typical hand crafted cocktail bar. Not the cleanest space, definitely carry hand sanitizer. Staff attentive to detail but seemed short staffed at the time of visit. Definitely great for American food, happy hour with a plethora of beer options. Street parking available.

I like McShanes. All of the food that I've ever ordered on their menu is quite good. The atmosphere is pretty good. There are two bars: One at the entrance and one when you walk up the few stairs. On the bottom floor, their is a pool table. However, the bottom floor is a bit more rundown than the upper floor. The bathrooms could use a fix too, or at least have another set of them put in. The service is very friendly, but slow. Overall, the food makes this place worth checking out. There are a few flaws with the place though. In fact, I was considering giving this place 4 stars. But considering the vibes, the food, and the friendly service, I'm giving McShane's a 5.

Best Fish & Chips! Best Irish Pot Roast! Best Burgers! Hell, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Service was quick and very friendly. Cold beers. Best Irish Pub around.

Food usually good. But bad bad bad service. I ordered a salad. Got no bread, no croutons, and no dressing that comes with the big salad. Server took drink for refill. Never brought it back, had to go request it at the bar. I understand their understaffed and expected a wait. But I wasn't expected to be ignored. Or my order not fixed. Thank you for the reply. The bartender I'm guessing was the manager because she took care of the issue and assured me that this wouldn't happen again. And yall have the most delicious food. Thank you for responding.

Came in here for dinner and drinks before a show at the Detroit Opera House. We sat at the bar, got service right away. The food and beers were great! The French Dip was flavorful and fall apart tender. My husband got the fish & chips, said the fish was good, the tartar was really good and the coleslaw was the best he's had. Definitely want to come back!

I feel like this place does not have one single item on the menu that taste bad! I’ve been frequenting here for 10 years now and have yet to get tired of their food. I recommend everyone try this place at least once in your life. When you do, order some of their famous Mac and cheese! Yes the environment isn’t as noisy as it used to be but then again, which establishment has stayed the same since Covid?! Great food and great drinks.

Came here for a few drinks after work. I was surprised at the extensive menu. All the food we had was great. I would definitely come here again before a game or after work.

Parking was a little difficult time due to the construction but we managed to find a free street spot on the next street. We came for a late lunch and Upon entering we encounter many kind wait staff guiding us to a seat at the back bar. To our surprise, we had a very kind and knowledgeable bartender named April! She helped with suggestions on food and drinks. All were fantastic! We both got Mac and cheese, let's just say bring on the cheese. The potatoes skins were outstanding and the French onion soup was crisp and flavored to perfection. Very happy with our visit and highly suggest it! Get the Mac and cheese!!!

We stopped here for the first time with our adult children after attending a holiday party downtown the night before. The food was great, the Bloody Mary Bar (Saturday morning) was top notch and our bartender, James was wonderful!! We will definitely put this place on our list to stop at Everytime we are in the area!!!

My friend and I ordered top shelf Long Island drinks and they weren’t strong at all. We asked for our drinks to be remade and the manager came to our table all hippity hop and said “this isn’t some regular bar in the hood. Slow slip and let the drinks kick in” we were so in shock that we didn’t even care to go back and forth. Then we finished our drinks and like we expected there was barely any alcohol in them. When winded up having to order straight shots. Basically wasted our money on the Long Islands. Then ordered the appetizer wings and they came out burnt. The manager was so unpleasant that I was afraid to ask them to remake them. We just left. I didn’t even eat my food. The waitress was pretty okay .

Went with my family and friends for Sunday brunch. The service was great. Food was AMAZING and for a good price. Fun fresh atmosphere. Lots of TV. And we got to watch the veterans parade outside. My sister loved the bloody Mary bar. Definitely on my list of brunch places to revisit.

Man oh man. I said to my home girl I was hungry and wanted a burger. I’m not vegan but she is. She did takeout , ordered the two impossible vegan burger with all the toppings. Burgers was delicious. Had fries and onion rings as well. I can’t really speak on parking or service but I’ll definitely try them again.

The pasta is good. It's not you mom's mac and cheese. It definitely a different dish but I like it. They have something on the menu for everyone. The drinks aren't over priced. Parking is a headache I got a ticket last I visited. Bathrooms are clean. I will definitely get the pasta again
