You will not find a bigger and better sandwich for this amount of money anywhere. This is some quality stuff here, inexpensive prices. I’m not sure how they do it but they do and you owe yourself coming by please bring cash because there’s no ATM around

I went here for my first time, and I had to wait in line for a good minute. But it is worth the wait cause when I finally received my sandwich it was super delicious. The people that was in line with me had so many story and lots of amazing things to say about Ernie’s Market. I Recommend you to come and try a sandwich from Ernie’s Market

10 years ago, while visiting, my grandfather took me to Ernie's for the first time and ever since I've been craving, while raving about this this sandwich to all my out of state friends. Now moved back, I finally got my hands on one of the best meals I've ever eaten. I was soo excited to hear you doing well and the the love is still flowing to everyone who enjoys you! Who loves you baby?!

I enjoy this place but have to say the whole experience is different when Ernie is not there. Was in a line with 5-6 others and except for the sounds of a low volume radio and occasional questions from sandwich makers and customers, it was as quiet as a morgue. It's not really A BAD thing, just not the full experience I am used to when Ernie is on site. I hadn't been here in years, so I do hope Ernie is still happy, healthy and smiling and just happened to have a day off when I went. Getting a 7 meat monster is ridiculous, but I almost always feel compelled to do so when I come here. The sandwiches are pretty good, but that love spice makes it unique. Get a Faygo and some Better Made chips and you will feel like you are doing Michigan proud.

The customer service was excellent, and man, what a sandwich. I had the Ernie's Monster recommended by the sandwich artist. It was delicious, and they have a new fan!

Ernie loves us! I really appreciate how much of the original market is still in use and appreciated today. Great sandwiches and atmosphere too!

I have to say I have lived in the metro Detroit area for over 25 years, and no one has ever told me about this place. On Sunday, I was scrolling thru Tik Tok, and a user that goes by the name of @naaackers uploaded a video about this place, and he praised how good this place was. I sent the video to my buddy, asking him if he had heard of this place. He had not, so we decided that we were going to come here for lunch today. When we pulled up, there was a little line, but it didn't take too long to get in and order. I went with Ernie's monster sandwich. The only veggies I got were lettuce and tomato. It was a huge sandwich. It was so delicious. Another great thing about this place is the outstanding customer service. Everyone here was so nice. An added touch they thanked us for coming in. Again i think this place is amazing.

I was expecting a sandwich shop or a meat market type of set up....this place is located in what seems to be a neighborhood store. One positive is that it's in the neighborhood. There were 2 ladies working in the 'sandwich' area and 1 looked like she rolled out of bed and just came to work! The other lady with the mask made my sandwich thankfully (she was very considerate & conscious of allergies). 2 other ladies at the cash register were talking and not very professional but they were pleasant to customers. Per the pics the sandwiches were 'ok' visually. The lettuce wasn't all that fresh because by the time I got home it tasted withered. As I said the sandwiches were 'ok'; the dill pickle and coleslaw weren't good.

I have been coming to Ernie's for many years and always had a good experience here. The staff is really nice and helpful and the sandwiches are terrific! Today was not so good. I ordered a Club sandwich with turkey, pastrami and corned beef which I have had many times. The meat was so tough, I couldn't nchew it and had to throw away half of my sandwich. Beware!

Sandwiches were good. I didn't like the store itself so much. Not alot of options for drinks and chips. Very small inside. I got the ham and cheese with lettuce pickles banana peppers mayo and mustard. It looked like they mixed the mayo and mustard and possibly the lettuce cause it looked like they put egg salad in it but it wasn't. Was also disappointed that they had those pickle pouches that you get anywhere for $1.25 they were selling it for $5... but again the sandwich was big and good. Also we were unable to meet Ernie himself. And the website said they were selling the seasoning they offer for the sandwich but when we asked they said they don't sell it anymore. The sandwich in the picture is the 7 meats.

Stopped in today around 2:30, a lot different than my last visit years ago, sandwiches were okay but not like Ernie made them. The staff was void of energy, bought 10 sandwiches. Not satisfied at all needed some Ernie love!

Super friendly staff. Not too bad on pricing. Even with the line out the door Im in and out within 15-20 minutes. Great, filling, and tasty sandwiches. What more could I ask for from a local sandwich shop.

Hands down a local legendary spot. Great customer service with a product that will blow your socks off. Make sure when you get your sandwich the first time you eat it whole don't get it cut In half. Also make sure to get extra extra love spice.

I have never been disappointed with Ernie's until today. All of our sandwiches were made incorrectly. Our order included 3 sandwiches and three sides of cole slaw. My sandwich had the wrong meats and there was an incorrect charge for our sides.

A little disappointed. Over priced. 9.00 for 2 slices of turkey and then the 2 slices pastrami wasn't pastrami. When I asked about it the unfriendly gal making it said it was Turkey Pastrami. It tasted like regular turkey. The cashier was Great!! Won't be going back there. They were on Fox 2 and looked great. Not so much.

The monster sandwich is the way to go, especially on an onion roll. Cash only. I will be back for sure.

This place is not good at all! Sandwiches had no flavor sides were horrible just like the ladies attitudes that made our sandwiches! My mom couldn’t even eat the other half of hers because it was so bad! Ugh I will not be returning to this place because the food and the horrible attitudes of the girls making the food! Definitely not getting my money ever! Thumbs Down

I’ve heard of this place for years & finally got to try it , absolutely delicious! Will be coming to Ernie’s from now on instead of Subway or Tubbys . My husband picked it up and said the workers were very polite and caring .

First time going there and it was good. It wasn't as good as all the hype from my niece and nephew, but a good sandwich. It was slow. The girl making our sandwiches was the slowest person I've ever seen. The food was fresh, and I loved the old-fashioned vibe to the place. The only thing missing was penny candy. Give it a try. You may feel like others do.

I feel that everyone in the world needs to try one of Ernie’s sandwiches. I can say that this would be THE BEST Experience they will ever have with a sandwich. Not to mention he adds LOVE to every bite. I’m on my way to get one as soon as they open tomorrow. I’ll get back with a picture. The 💣 Diggity is all I can say.

Whenever I'm in the Detroit area I stop by Ernie's market. They make the best fresh Lunch meat sandwiches. On this visit Ernie wasn't there and missed him (hence minus the star). However the girls took good care of us!

I really wanted to like this place, cash only was inconvenient, but then it didn’t look very clean where they were making the sandwiches. The options were very limited. They had corned beef, but they couldn’t make you a Ruben for example because they don’t have the topics. The worst part was the food, while it wasn’t horrible, it did not meet the standards of a $13 sandwich. The bread was dry, and the pastrami was almost flavorless, tasted more like baloney than pastrami. They were nice, but I’d rather have a better sandwich somewhere else

A hidden Deli just north of 8 Mile Road with tasty selection of homemade deli sandwiches. Think of it as a mom and pop version of subway. I had Ernie's club sandwich and it literally took two hands to handle that sandwich. Be sure to have your sandwich sliced before you leave. Ernie's staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Always a smile from them and from Ernie himself.

Always so good! Expect a long line but always worth the wait. It was sad and weird not seeing Ernie in there but still felt the love! Only takes cash with no ATM so be prepared! You must get extra love!!

If you're looking for a delicious filling sandwich you have to stop by Ernies! Not only does he make the best sandwiches but he has a heart of gold. Ernie I will forever remember your genuine kindness when I was a broke kid coming into your shop. We love you babyyyyyy!!

Long time customer - used to work near by modes over an hour away but it’s still a regular “field trip” with the family. The sandwiches are top notch and Ernie is a national treasure. He remembers everyone and always has a story to tell. My favorite spot in the Detroit area.
