I
went
here
for
a
work
event
and
I
dissatisfied
with
just
entering
the
building.
Let
me
preface
with
saying
that
I
am
33
years
old
and
I
do
not
and
have
never
had
a
driver’s
license.
I
of
course
do
not
own
a
car.
I
was
trying
to
hurry
up
and
prepare
a
presentation
for
work
and
also
hurry
and
try
to
get
my
bus
to
work.
So
I
forgot
to
bring
my
ID
and
my
bank
cards.
But
that’s
okay,
because
I
do
not
drive
and
have
no
reason
to
prevent
identification.
This
never
happens
on
my
end.
This
was
my
first
time
ever
in
life
forgetting
these
items.
So
anyway
when
I
walked
in
the
building,
here
is
a
sign
on
the
door
that
says
“21+
after
8pm.”
I
got
there
at
5:35pm.
Reading
that
sign,
I
didn’t
assume
that
I
would
have
to
show
my
ID.
But
they
still
asked
to
see
my
ID
and
told
me
that
they
would
need
to
put
x’s
on
my
hand.
That
was
completely
fine
with
me.
I
do
not
drink
alcohol
whatsoever.
But
I
found
it
weird
that
they
needed
to
put
tacky
X’s
on
the
hand,
doesn’t
the
bartender
ask
for
ID
at
the
bar?
I
haven’t
had
X’s
on
my
hand
since
I
was
clubbing
at
Michigan
state
university.
I
am
much
older
than
those
days
now.
They
also
told
me
that
I
could
not
bring
any
liquids
into
the
building.
The
liquids
in
my
bag
were
beverages
that
my
boss
threw
in
purse
and
asked
me
to
take
home
to
get
rid
of.
I
also
had
my
EMPTY
reusable
water
bottle.
Again,
I
do
not
drive.
No
one
communicated
that
I
could
not
bring
liquids
or
even
reusable
water
bottles
into
the
building
before
this
outing.
This
place
is
expecting
everyone
to
have
their
own
transportation
and
have
a
place
to
store
items.
This
is
a
discriminatory
practice.
Even
on
their
website,
it
does
not
state
that
liquids
can
not
be
brought
in.
It
literally
says
bring
your
own
food.
If
I
have
to
bring
my
own
food,
then
naturally
I
would
assume
that
I
need
to
bring
my
own
non-alcoholic
drinks
as
well.
Anyway,
I
only
came
to
this
place
because
of
my
work.
I
will
surely
never
return.
