Boo Stan is a Hamtramck staple. Terrific shwarmas, falafel and top notch tea. Worth a stop for carry out. The restaurant is pretty average reminiscent of a 1980’s fast food plus bonus bulletproof glass.

Usually I like their shawarmas, but last night I found a hair inside my pita bread!! Literally baked into the pita bread! I was so disgusted because I was half way through the sandwich. I'm scared for life. I can't go back there, please check your food.

Prepare to be scammed if you order from them doing business as Bob's Kebab on doordash. Ordered a combo kebab chicken and beef with rice and salad and it came in the smallest container available. A hand full or rice, a hand full of salad, and 2 pieces of chicken the size of nuggets for $20. Edit: Since the person replying wants to lie about what they charge I've added the receipt. And you can clearly look up the address on Doordash to Bobs kebabs and see its the same address as Boostan Cafe. Not to mention I called them to make sure the food came from this business. You charge $10? That sure looks like $19 to me.

This is one of those out of the way places that is well worth going out of the way for. Loved the selection of food and the prices were great for ample portions. The servers were great. There is limited seating but don't let that keep you away.

IT WAS LIKE BEING AROUND FAMILY 👪. THE OTHER CUSTOMERS MADE US FEEL AT HOME. SO WE GOT BACK AND BABY!!!! MY FOOD WAS AMAZING! SO FRESH AND VERY TASTY!!! EVERYTHING I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I tried the grilled salmon sub sandwich, only half way thru and omg it's incredible!!! I've never seen a place that has this and the mango smoothie tastes very refreshing as well!!! Definitely 5 stars!!!

Very good food for a great price point. Hospitable staff who are willing to go above and beyond to get you the best meal. Some amazing tea to drink (free) while you wait. Must try their smoothies!

Love their Boostan Chicken Shawarma!! Deeelicious!! I also get the lime juice drink which is fresh squeezed lime juice with a little cream. Awesome!! 😋

Randomly stopped at Boostan Cafe. It was conveniently located off the highway, and it received awesome reviews. It's in a small building. The menu was in English, and I believe Arabic. The restaurant was well maintained and clean. The people behind the counter were very helpful, friendly, and patient. We weren't sure of what to order. We ended up ordering a lamb kabob plate and chicken shawarma. They had a good number of patrons ordering and picking up, which is always a great sign that the food is yummy! As we waited, they offered my husband a mango smoothie, which many people were ordering, and he was curious about. It was our first time there, so they gave him a generous sample. It was so good! We got our order and returned to our hotel. The food was absolutely delicious!!! The lamb was so tender, perfectly grilled, and spiced to perfection. The chicken shawarma was also wonderful. The portions were generous. Sadly, did not take plenty of photos. However, we were really delighted with our pick.

I recently had my order wrong, the manager mohamed was super professional and nice he apologized and fixed it for me . Food is amazing yummy Staff is very friendly and polite, especially Bader , everyone actually very nice and friendly portion is generous and service is fast compared to how busy they are. I got the lamb kabob dinner for $26.49. Never have I felt so robbed or cheated at a restaurant given what I spent for one meal. The food portions were especially small for what I paid. A total of eight little pieces of meat on two kabobs (four on each). And I swear it wasn't even lamb, it tasted like beef. There wasn't even a cup of rice in my carry out container. I cook rice at home all the time using a measuring cup so I know what a cup of rice looks like. Then there was the salad, it was fine but salad is inexpensive, no way that entire meal should've costed more than $13.99 plus tax. I woke up this morning hungry. That shouldn't have happened having spent almost $27 on dinner. I should've had leftovers. The lobby is incredibly small and feels cramped with the tables in there, and the ventilation is lacking, it is oppressively hot. Their menu needs to updated with current prices. What's more, they need pictures to accompany their dishes so we Americans can see exactly what we are ordering.

I love boostan and I’ve been coming here for years. Maybe I just need to stop ordering the shrimp papaya sub because it’s just not good anymore. In the photos the tiny shrimp are the star of the sandwich but they’re smaller than my pinky nail and u get a few of them. I love the sauce and lettuce and stuff but that’s really all that’s on this sandwich anymore. Pre covid there was good sized shrimp on this sub and during covid they stopped serving it probably because it was too costly. I feel like they need to either raise the price of this sandwich and put some real shrimp on it or just take it off the menu. I keep ordering it because i want it, one day, to be how it used to be. It’s even more upsetting because the shrimp they’re now putting in this sub is dried shrimp and it’s so cheap and terrible. There’s so many other good things at Boostan I guess I will order something else from now on but I’m really sad knowing how good the shrimp papaya sub used to be.

I ordered chicken shawarma and this didn’t taste like shawarma , it only Have chicken and pickles, Very hard chicken and cold, taste like rubber.this the second time I avoid writing a bad review because I have respect for the owner but they always disappoint me. I don’t recommend this restaurant At all .

GET THE SEASONED FRIES!!! they were amazing! We oredered our food at 9pm and it was PERFECT. The Boostan shwarma was soooo good!!!! I cant wait to visit again. 😀

I just ordered Shish Tawook and a cheeseburger and fries. The Shish Tawook had two bugs in the chicken pieces. That is unhygienic and truly the worst that could happen to someone’s food. Lastly, I’ve mentioned that the fries should be normal (not seasoned) and they seasoned it so the kids couldn’t eat it.

I literally have my lunch everyday from Boostan as I work 10 minutes away. Costumer service is great and the food is even better! The chicken shawarma is insanely delicious!

It’s my favorite restaurant at hamtramck I love eating here most of the time. Today I have ordered 1 chicken cream chaps it wasn’t fresh at all. Please keep that restaurant as good as we expect.

So (big smiles) this place really did it for me! It's the day everyone desires Mexican cuisine, but for me I was lead here by the smells that lured my body into this quaint yet well maintained atmosphere. Fresh fruits, clean eating areas and most of all the great service! I was very pleased with my food, I had a delightful salad with chicken that was flavorful and was perfect the smoothie was the best I've ever had someone make me, I look forward to trying other things on the menu. Definitely worth the try!

the food is great! the tea is warming and delicious. The juice is so fresh, it feels like your transported to the tropics with every sip. Big portions. Visited Detroit twice in the past year and stopped here twice.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hamtramck. They have a few go tos that include any of their roasted meats, but also that steak sub makes the perfect hangover lunch.

I discovered this establishment while exploring Hamtramck for the millionth time on my electric scooter. I do not trust leaving such an expensive and hefty machine alone outside, so I bring it inside with me and they are perfectly fine with it! The food is what you would expect from a halal venue, but it should be noted that the meals appear to be made-to-order, so you may have to wait several minutes after placing your order. I do not mind, because the anticipation is what makes it taste better. They also offer complimentary Yemeni-style Chai tea in small styrofoam cups, but if you want the cups with a larger capacity and a lid to prevent it from spilling while you drive over the many potholes that still plague Michigan roads, then you will need to purchase them. I find the styrofoam cups to be sufficient enough for me!

Title: "A Disappointing Dining Experience" I recently ordered from the restaurant, and unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The food quality left much to be desired, with some dishes tasting old and unpleasant. To make matters worse, I found hair in one of my dishes, which was a big turn-off. It's essential for any restaurant to maintain high standards of hygiene, and this was a significant letdown. I hope the restaurant management takes these issues seriously and works to improve the quality of their food and overall cleanliness.

This place was good for awhile. Just got a chicken shawarma Boostan Style. Absolutely disgusting! Full of cartilage and bone. This is the last time I’m ever eating at Boostan!

I’m a big fan of the chicken shawarma and the smoothies are good too! Only major issue is ordering through DoorDash. They market certain appetizers without a side of fries. So I ordered one. When I received my order I had two fries. Fries actually come with the appetizer but they don’t say that on DoorDash…it’s not even in the picture. Seems kind of like a waste of money not to let customers know.

One of the best places I ever ate at! The workers alway find a way to put customers first! U can see how ur food is made while waiting. Definitely one of the most underrated place in Michigan🫡
