I saw Ally for about six months and about 2-3 days per week. When I started physical therapy, I was on disability because I suffered from daily headaches and intractable migraines, dizziness, vertigo and inability to turn my head side to side. I had severe neck pain and I really felt depressed and hopeless. I could not even drive myself. I’m only 37 and usually very active. I had procedures done to burn off the nerves, but that could only do so much. My muscles around those nerves needed help, too! I’m so thankful for the team at Athletico. I often came in stiff, tired and cranky, but left feeling uplifted, laughing and in much less pain. Ally knew her stuff when it came to my neck issues and I recommend her with any injury you have. She’s very personable but knowledgeable. Give them a try. I’m proof PT works! I’m back to work full-time and finally feel like I have my life back! 🙌

I’m really glad I chose the Royal Oak Athletico. This is a great clinic. It has a great vibe. I interacted with almost all of the staff. Everybody made me feel comfortable and each one of them helped me in my recovery (even if they weren’t my primary therapist). DJ helped me set realistic goals and coached/nudged me toward achieving my goals. I always felt supported. And, even when the exercises were more challenging, the staff always tried to make it fun. One of my goals was to finish my therapy feeling healthy (achieved!) and, also, to walk away with a set of basic exercises that I felt comfortable doing on my own in order to keep my body strong (also achieved).

(BRETT) The staff at this location is the absolute BEST!! I had rotator cuff surgery for the first time and was nervous about the rehab. From the moment I walked in, the staff were helpful guiding me through the process. Jess did my initial intake and gave me an idea of what to expect along with a baseline questionnaire that was used to track my progress. Ally was my physical therapist, and I cannot say enough about the treatment she provided. She did a thorough evaluation in the beginning and referenced it regularly in order to customize my treatment plan. She began every appointment testing my range of motion to gauge my daily ability. She never rushed through that process, she was careful to observe my muscle tightness and facial expressions to pinpoint problem areas. She designed a regimen of exercises to help me gain strength and stability including a supplemental home plan. Her communication was constant, asking how the area was responding and how I felt in order to adapt on the fly. She warned me against doing too much when I was going overboard, and encouraged me when I was not giving my all. I have just completed my round of in-office visits, and Ally has given me a comprehensive aftercare plan to continue on my own. She has welcomed me to come in with any issues I may have in the future to ensure the best outcome. The entire staff, Ally, Jess, & DJ worked as a team to step in to help when needed and showed real concern for everyone who walked in the door. All of the above is enough to earn the highest possible rating, but that was only part of what kept me coming back every week... Ally's attitude toward her patients is sincere and genuine. Her disposition is easygoing and approachable, she has truly found a career that she is perfectly suited for. I would refer friends and family with the utmost confidence.

The entire staff at this facility are true professionals, but they are also so genuine and kind. The therapists are amazing at reigning you in when needed, but also at helping you find motivation when you are bummed out. I can say, with true conviction, if you are injured and need physical therapy look only at Athletico Royal Oak!

There are soooo many wonderful things to say about this clinic I don't know where to begin! I attended to clinic for a meniscal repair in 2019. The PT I had previously elsewhere seriously failed me! I had a bad taste about PT from that point forward but I decided to give it another try. My PTA was Christina and she was so sweet and professional. My appointment always started on-time and I was encouraged to work at my own pace. The intensity increased gradually but never strenuous. Whenever I had a concern or didn't feel my best Christina took her time and evaluated my injury to ensure everything ok. I've watched her work with multiple patients at once time and still managed to give us all the care and attention we needed. Equally important, the flexibility of rescheduling and accommodating life's unexpectant challenges was a plus for me! I often complained because I'm so out of shape but the staff were all supportive and encouraging regardless of who your PTA was. This experience was nothing like before and I left with confidence to continue my healing journey independently!

I have been going there since January. Mark has been absolutely amazing as a trainer and a person. All of the staff are Kind and experienced. My injury was very serious and Mark has help me to make such good progress. Many times I wanted to give up but his encouragement and persistence helped me to stick with it. I am still going there for the same injury but I'm absolutely sure that I will come out of this fully restored thanks to Mark and the staff at Athletico.

My experience at Athletico was unbelievably positive. I have had 4 knee surgeries in my past and have went to therapy every time and this was the first time I felt I had therapists who truly cared about me and my recovery. DJ. Christina and Ally were extremely accommodating and pushed me to my max which helped me grow, succeed and accomplish all of my goals. They helped me set these goals and held me accountable to hitting them while helping me along the way. I am back to full strength in my knee and could not have done it without all of them. They treat every patient with respect, are very knowledgeable, and work on individual plans with each and every person. I would give them a million stars if I could!

I roused an old shoulder injury, causing a stubborn pain that wouldn't go away, so I went to Athletico. My physical therapist was DJ, and he did a fantastic job identifying my issue, calming the injury down with the appropriate stretches and exercise regime, and getting me back to full strength. I'm writing this review several months after completing my physical therapy. Since then, I've gone back to doing everything I could do before the injury, including kayaking and working out with free weights -- all pain free. My shoulder feels great.

Can’t say enough good things about Athletico! Everyone there is so kind and welcoming. They really make even the smallest accomplishments feel like a big deal and they truly care about you as a person not just a patient! So grateful that I put my recovery in there hands they’ve definitely gonna above and beyond

I have been treated at Athletico Physical therapy twice for various problems and couldn’t be happier with the treatment and the results. Leython Williams is by far the best PT I have ever had. He is VERY knowledgeable, experienced, kind, and compassionate. On occasion Allie has stepped in and she is equally talented. They work you very heard but with humor and care to make the experience (almost) enjoyable. Jessica is at the front desk to greet each patient with a smile and kind word. She sets the tone for your appointment. Amazing staff! The facility is clean, convenient, well equipped. Great experience at Athletico PT!

I sprained my elbow at work and I am so thankful Athletico was the place I chose. Every single staff member is friendly, upbeat and welcoming. Leython was my therapist and he was wonderful (all the therapists I interacted with were kind and helpful). He walked into every session with a positive “we got this” attitude and 10 sessions later and I feel ready to get back to it. My elbow is in less pain and I definitely got stronger 🙂.
