I had the perfect diner breakfast, no frills, just a solid meal. Three eggs over easy, bacon, sourdough toast and hash browns - served in a skillet. Waitress was the bomb diggity, she had inside knowledge and can read your body language. She is the diner whisperer. I just wanted to pack her up and have her work everywhere! I took some awesome pics and you should check them out. Highly recommend.

Went there today for the first time. Had terrific corned beef hash, eggs and home fries. Service was great. Old school Long Island, with a nice mix of people enjoying their food.

When you think of a well oiled machine this diner should be synonymous. Great service, great food, and we got in and got out incredibly quick. Made our trip in Long Island a great visit! Also the chocolate almond waffles are delicious

Anyone who doesn’t give Thomas’s 5 stars, must be a Thomas’s newbie, and must have no idea how Thomas’s works, because Thomas’ is the BEST breakfast spot on Long Island. A breakfast at Thomas’s goes like this. You walk in (try to keep your party 2-4 people it’s best for small groups), you go into the little waiting box and put your name in. They are phenomenal at recognizing familiar faces and even though the wait is usually 30-40 min it usually drops to 10 minutes sooner. You can expect unlimited hot coffee from the sweetest coffee pourers on the earth, particularly Jose who always asks me how my family is doing with the sweetest smile in the world. He makes sure that my coffee cup stays filled for the entirety of my breakfast. Next, you go to Thomas’s for breakfast food, not for lunch. Their breakfast food is what makes them so phenomenal. Their eggs are always fresh and they serve their breakfast platters on skillets so the presentation is always delicious and outstanding. My favorite is 2 eggs over easy, with bacon, toast, and hash browns with a side of strawberries. It’s absolutely scrumptious, warm, soothing, and comfort-y in the best way possible. They also have THE BEST warmed sour cream coffee cake in the universe. My cells dance and sing when I have their coffee cake. Thomas’s somehow always has room for everyone and never rushes people out either. They are magical in that way. Staff is amazing always. I love Thomas’s SO much!!! Been here a hundred times and will be back for more! If you liked this review, feel free to check us out on Instagram for more Long Island adventures @andiamoadventure

Have you ever went somewhere so often that you’re considered a regular/family? Restaurant owner and staff know your name and face? Well, that’s what I observed at Thomas’s Diner. The staff are extremely friendly and they treat you like family. Great hospitality! The food is diner food. Nothing stands out about it except it tastes home-cooked and not out of a box. One must try their chocolate cheesecake muffin though. I got one to go and it was still moist and soft when I ate it later in the evening. It was my first time here so I was looking around to get better pictures for my review. The man who was in charge came over to me to ask if I needed something. Extremely attentive. So was my waitress. I will be coming back to try their other homemade muffins to try it toasted at the diner.

Always delicious and plentiful. Their menu is quite expansive and there’s something for everyone, but not too overwhelming. The smoked salmon Benedict was delicious and on top of a pressed croissant with a heaping amount of potatoes. Staff is also super friendly and nice.

Popular local diner in LI. You should expect a wait time if you go on a Saturday morning as it gets really crowded. The service was great especially for how busy they were. I had the French toast and frittata, both were okay. Definitely would like to come back around to explore more of the menu specifically the corned beef hash which I heard is popular.

"Hey there, if you're ever in Carl Place and craving some good ol' comfort food and delicious eggs, you've got to check out this classic diner. Seriously, it's a local gem. The portions are super generous, so even the pickiest eaters will find something to love here. Oh, and by the way, if you're wondering what to order, my personal favorite is the pastrami with eggs cooked just the way you like them and a side of their fantastic home fries. You can't go wrong with that classic choice. So, don't wait – head over to this Carl Place diner and enjoy the comfort food goodness that's been keeping me coming back for years."

This is a great local diner. We've been there a few times and the food never disappointed! Each time we went we had brunch, which is probably my most favorite meal. I usually have the salmon Benedict but this time I had the omelette with lox, which was very tasty! Will definitely go back there again.

Stopped in to Thomas' Ham and Eggery Diner for breakfast and had such a wonderful meal! First, when I walked in, I was welcomed by Tom himself, who chatted with us a bit over the state of the New York Mets and a bunch of the other New York sports teams. The diner is very clean, the service is amazing. Everyone treats you like you are right at home. The diner has such a warm and friendly vibe. I ordered the Texas Skillet (pictured), which was every bit as good as I hoped. This place is an amazing diner/breakfast spot and I would very highly recommend!

Food is always good and hot. We sat by the bar sometimes and watch the skillets being swift away as soon as it's done. The wait staff is efficient and full of character. The bus staff is quick and friendly. Atmosphere is great like a family living room. Love having breakfast/brunch here. It gets really crowded and expect to wait for a table after 9-ish

Best diner I’ve been to. Food was fresh, tasted great, and came out quickly. The stuffed mixed berry french toast is a must order. Wait to be seated is a bit long but absolutely worth it.

We just got their special of the week breakfast - salmon asparagus egg Benedict and stuffed French toast chocolate cannoli. It’s absolutely delicious. We had their breakfast several times and no complain at all. Must go to place when it comes to breakfast. Staffs are wonderful and attentive and friendly.

A popular local breakfast spot. Employees are friendly and attentive. The parking lot is small, so get there early on weekends. My companion and I chose to sit at the counter, as the wait for a table would’ve been at least 30 minutes. Based on what I overheard this diner has a lot of regular/repeat customers. A gentleman who sat next to us was asked if he wanted “the usual.” I ordered the Cajun Scramble, which was good and the sausage did have a bit of heat. The hash browns were disappointing. Probably some of the worst that I’ve ever had. I would return so that I could try some of their unique breakfast options or pancakes.

Everything you would want in a Long Island Diner! My entire experience was exceptional. Our food came out lightning fast & was delicious. The service wonderful too. The diner is vintage to boot, which makes this restaurant even more spectacular. Cannot wait to go back.

Classic diner serving comfort food and the best eggs. The menu is fantastic, lots of variety and all are delicious. Portions were great and plenty of options for any picky eater. Kids welcome and service is excellent. I've been coming here for years. It's an institution.

Food can be hit and miss. We did enjoy a lot the corned beef hash. I’ll definitely go for a meal served on a skillet next time. Otherwise great service and the place gets packed on any time of the day. Unbeatable for the price though. Will definitely come back! You’ll need to park in the neighborhood most of the time.

Very long wait but we had 6 people. Great food and great service! Our waitress must have thought we were there for basic training lol. She was great though, loved her.

Consistently good food here. Expect a wait we typically just go to the counter for faster service. Very accommodating to adjustments on your meal. The menu has lots of good choices. If you have not gone make sure to check it out! Only reason for 4 star for service was that the meals came at different times. But both hot off of the grill. Staff friendly.

This diner has been around for a long time, and for good reason. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. The tables are on the smaller side as a typical diner would be. I got the Lox and CC Scramble and the Baked Panetonne Frech Toast. Both were delicious, and the portions were very generous.

Whenever I am in a new place, I always hunt for the local iHop alternative and found Thomas’s Ham & Eggert Diner. We found this place a little dated but the food is as good as any breakfast place!

Wide variety of items on their menu, definitely recommend the Cajun omelette and their home fries. However, the beef corn hash was a little too mushy, didn’t seemed fully cooked. They also didn’t provide maple syrup for my pancakes.

Awesome little place that you could tell had some history. Super fast service, big portions and reasonable prices. The coffee cake was phenomenal. I will say the parking situation leaves something to be desired, so just be wary of that.

There's a reason this place is a staple long island breakfast spot. Quick service, amazing food and decent prices. The grilled coffee cake was extremely-surprisingly good. The only minor complaint is it can get cramped during the weekend breakfast rush but honestly it's part of the experience at this point. I look forward to coming back in the future.

Always drove by and finally came in. Amazing Food, friendly staff , bit of a wait but it’s worth it. This is better than Waffle House down south. You guys have a lifetime customer now and I’ll recommend this place to all my friends and family.

The staff was really friendly and quick to notice if I needed coffee. And that place was busy when I got in. The food came out extremely quick and it tasted good as well. The food was a fair price. Everything was really good. One of the best diners I've ever been to.

This classic little diner is a rare find! Located in the middle of Carle Place, it’s the perfect place to go if you and yours are out shopping but can’t decide where to eat. We ordered pancakes and their pulled pork sandwich for dinner. Their portion was great and the taste was balanced. Pancakes were chewy, not crumbly like the franchised chains stores. Lemonade was freshly squeezed and you get about two cups from one order. The people were attentive and from overheard conversations, local folk have been returning for years. Recommended even if you live far away.
