😠 I just had the take away $10 Chicken Satay with Rice and Veges from Mamak Goreng at Maddington Shopping Centre...... it was the WORST takeaway meal I have ever eaten!!! There was hardly any Chicken Satay in there at all and what was there, was not very tasty. The veges tasted like they were steamed... People often mention beef,

I just had the take away $10 Chicken Satay with Rice and Veges from Mamak Goreng at Maddington Shopping Centre...... it was the WORST takeaway meal I have ever eaten!!! There was hardly any Chicken Satay in there at all and what was there, was not very tasty. The veges tasted like they were steamed days ago with absolutely no flavour. The entire meal was just bulked up with rice, to make you feel like you got your monies worth.... but I tell you what, I didn't!!!.... every so often, I would buy food off them in the hope that it improves and I just keep getting disappointed 😒 well, that was the last time!!! 😔

Me and my friends had really good Sunday brunch a few weeks back at Mamak Goreng. I had mee Goreng, a friend had mee Goreng mamak (she's come here a few times and loved the food) and another friend had rice with the side dishes (can't remember what it's called but she had rendang). We were satisfied with everything and will definitely be a regular with food this good 😄

Very disappointed. I have traveled a lot in Asia and also lived in Malaysia and the roti that I had today was among the worst I have ever tried. Roti should be light and crispy on the outside. Mine was very stodgy. The 2 curries that come with it were both watery. Definitely not worth the money I paid. We also waited just over 25 minutes. Not good service. The teh tarik was at least passable

I wanted to like this place, and the Laksa was pretty good for an authentic Malaysian style Laksa, but the presentation was a real let down. You have a shop, I'm eating at the table in front of your shop. Why do you have to use disposable cutlery? The bamboo spoon was completely ridiculous and I had to go and ask for something else. So then she gave me a tiny plastic disposable Asian soup spoon. Slightly better, but it still made it feel like I was standing in a paddock at an open air concert.

I asked for a large Butter Chicken with Vegetables. Server must have misunderstood my Australian accent because what I got was: 2 separate plastic containers with one of hot curry beef ($23) [so hot there wasn't much flavour & the beef was stringy in texture] & the second with vegies ($13) which was very nice. All up for my quick takaway meal, it cost me a total of $36. Reply to restaurant owner's response: I was definitely given beef instead of chicken. Besides the large cube size of the beef pieces (not possible with ordinary chicken), most importantly, the texture was the stringiness of tough beef which-is-nothing-like-chicken. At the time of being served, the server couldn't seem to understand that I wanted "Butter Chicken and Vegetables" in one container so I accepted 2 separate containers. I didn't want to argue or embarrass the staff member about the misunderstanding. But now to try to defend your staff substitution of beef for chicken, appears the switcharoo is a condoned deception. One star less now due to trying to defend the indefensible.

Not sure if it was only my experience from this place but we had worst food ever. We took beef rendang & chicken legs. Me & my wife both had seriously upset stomach just after an hour. The beef rendang had more spices but the actual taste was not there...

🫤 I've been there twice nowtotry the piesas I love a good pie but their pies just don't cut it. They obviously spend a lot on marketing and advertising but it just isn't anything that makes me wantto spend between $8 & $10 for a single pie.
