The most beautiful park we’ve been in in a long time . The game warden was so friendly and concerned with everyone in the park during a storm, that forced us here. We stayed the night during the storm, and liked it so much the next day that I walked a mile back to the office in the rain, so I wouldn’t have to break camp on our RV, and on the way back the friendly Game Warden stopped and asked if he could give me a ride back to our RV. He also checked on every camper to make sure we were all safe. Definitely we will be back.

We have camped throughout the US and still Kerr Lake is one of our favorite spots. This used to be a COE area but is now run by both NC and VA state park systems. Several campgrounds to choose from. The lake is beautiful and fantastic sunsets. Good fishing as well.

We went camping with the kids and had a blast. It was clean, safe, and the grounds were perfect with bathrooms and great spaces for kids to play. Our site was on the water and we went paddle boarding, boating, and fishing.

The park is a bit confusing with and the staff were not the friendliest, maybe just a bad day 🤷 The visitor center was pretty neat with some water exhibits.

Beautiful peaceful campground at JC Cooper at Satterfield Point. 30amp + water. Lakeside views, wonderful sunsets. Bathrooms clean, lots of hot water, shower tiles and painting would make nicer. Spots are decently spaced at most sites. Firewood for sale at office. Get it before 5pm closing.

This lake is very peaceful for tenting and RVs. The mosquitoes and flies have not been bad. The lake is quite long which made for an excellent pontoon ride. You must make a reservation in advance. They do have a bath house on site.

Was very nice campground but I had no cell service. Most of the park as I cruised around had little to no service. I noticed the park ranger made regular rounds which was impressive! Definitely Go there again!

It's been awhile since we've been camping but we had an awesome time. Site was pretty good. We were at the end of the loop. Camp host was extremely helpful. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: the bathrooms could use some updating.

Beautiful place. Clean, clear water. Many camp sites were on the water. Sites pretty close together.

Beautiful relaxing place to bring the family with your camper. Different sizes available and great for regular tents with restroom access. Has a small playground for the kids. Perfect for cycling/walking. Minor hicking areas. Fishing. Swimming. Boating. Bring your own grill for cooking. Firebons available for smores and more! This is our 7th time here. And can't wait for the 8th.

We came back from Richmond and checked out this lake and it was beautiful. We checked it out for a solid hour and it was very pretty. Had a park and tons of water!! Great Lake around here. Heard it’s also cleaner than Falls and Jordan lake.

Loved it! Some of the water hook ups will require a 50' hose to reach. Great mix of campers, all had dogs with them including us.

Great time. It was too cold to go swimming. The park was very nice and clean. The people that cleaned up the grounds/bathroom was extremely nice and hard working. It was overall a nice stay

A little slice of heaven, but this time our trip was fraught with power issues. I'm running a 50-amo unit stepped down to 30. It was fine during the week when I was the only one here, but on Saturday morning, our power cut out. They replaced the breakers, and we switched to running only one AC, and we're fine, but my companion next to us- running 30-amp with one AC - lost power in the afternoon. I think it's time for an upgrade.

We LOVE Kerr Lake. We tand to camp here at least once a year, as well as, my parents who go there everything they want to go camping. Sites are always clean and tidy. Signs are accurate with directions while navigating the park. Check in man is always smiling, that makes a difference. The views are absolutely breathe taking. Must go!

Stayed at JC Cooper Campground. The bathhouse was a distance from the electric hook up area and the showers could use some maintenence. I'd also recommend some larger directional signs. Otherwise, the weather was beautiful and each camp spot was distanced nicely apart.

One of the best spot for large group camping. Been going to this location for over 20 years. Immediate access to the water to swim. Perfect view from the tent, mostly flat surface to put the tent. Rangers always coming to get trash and check up. Quick walk to bathroom from camp ground, just don't freak out if you see sneak here n there. Small drive to the park, one of the best sunset view you can capture.

The camp site and lake are wow. Only confusion was to when the gates are closing. At the entrance, there were 2 signs, one said 9pm and another one said 10pm. Website also says 10pm. Who can tell what the time? Can you please correct?

One of the prettiest campsites I’ve ever stayed at. Not many interactions with staff or rangers, but pleasant interactions when they happened. Bathrooms weren’t disgusting, which is all you can ask for in a campsite. Free firewood is always a plus. Close to a general store with good food as well. Overall a great experience and I’ll definitely be back!

First time camping & it was very peaceful. Even though it rained most of our Saturday. We still had the chance to do some fishing. Take the boat out and grill. 😎 Our neighbors were nice and friendly also. We had a great time. Showers were also very clean.

Love it!! Beautiful and well maintained. Visitors and Rangers were friendly and helpful. IMO the official trails could be a little better marked or defined but we really enjoyed wandering around too.

seemed like the camper sites had much nicer everything than the tenting sites.. such as 2-inch stone to setup our tents over.. instead of nice pea-stone in squared off level areas.. and a fire ring with the usual grill rack built in.. our site was rolling down hill and had about 6 rocks that formed the fire pit..
