Had lunch here and we were very impressed with the food. We ordered the salad with chicken, the rice noodle soup with mushrooms and the pancakes. All were well presented and very tasty. I’d definitely go back and try the breakfast dishes next. It was a very cold spring day but I was still surprised at the amount of people that braved the weather to be present at this cafe.

Great location, food was delicious and the service was casual. Table not really clean. But still enjoy it. I was order Mushrooms insane and chicken pho. The price was a bit expensive for what we get.

$40 for this meal and a smoothy was a bit steep. No vegan options on the menu so I had to DIY a meal but the toast still came out buttered. Nice location and vibe though, and the non vegos enjoyed their meals.

Disappointed by the food We ordered carbonara ramen (which they listed only 10 serves a day- so thought might be exclusive)- ended up it’s only instant noodles ramen!!! 27 dollars for a bowl of instant noodles is a bit far out Fish and chips was okay but there was bones inside :( Wouldn’t come back again

This is my number 1 go to place for comfort food! Thank you to the owner Tam for your generosity and kindness. You have an amazing and big heart! It is so good to see you giving back by giving so many young people their first start! If you go, you must try their special Grandma’s Fried Rice and very wholesome Tom Yum Soup (during winter). Coffee is also amazing and unique in its roast!

So many gluten free and dairy free options available ! The staff were so friendly when we forgot to ask for gluten free and happily brought us back the gluten free option despite it was our mistake! Can not recommended the salted caramel latte more! Most delicious drink I have ever had and the food was to die for ! So many cuisines to choose from as well!

A very nice cafe near the Coogee beach, located Coogee fitness club. The ordering system might be a bit tricky for old people but it had not problem for us. We ordered Vego breakfast, Soy flat white and Turmaric latte. We enjoyed them all. The chilli scrambled egg was very nice of extra $1.2. The staff here was very helpful intern of ordering system for old people. Highly recommended

What a beautiful Sunday at Coogee Beach. Sunny and bright, perfect weather. Surfing Lizard just made the whole experience a whole lot better. Beautiful friendly staff, great food! The food was a fusion of Asian and western. Had the Tasmanian Barramundi with chips and Grandma's Fried rice. Both tasted amazing. The fried rice came with beautifully cooked sunny Side up, chilli oil and salad. Great taste and aroma. The barramundi was cooked to perfection, it came with crispy chips and salad. Had a turmeric and a conventional chai. There were options to choose the level of sugar, type of milk to be used and add ons. Love the ordering app they were using. It was brilliant and straight forward. Recommended for Asian food lovers and Western food lovers alike. ♥️

The food, service… everything is excellent. Some of the Asian meals are better than most restaurants. Only downsides are: you can’t actually see the ocean / beach from the cafe, and… IT’S INSANELY EXPENSIVE for a beach cafe. Bowl of chips, & 2 smoothies was over $40!!!!

Finally, we were able to pay a visit at Surfing Lizard - Coogee and we couldn’t wait for the next time that we could get there with the entire family! We had a very pleasant experience, and the food we had was beautiful. I love Vietnamese Pho. So when I saw in their menu list that they have it, I didn’t think twice and ordered straight away. The lady at the counter gave me a heads-up that they had chicken in their pho. I hesitated as it was my first time having it in chicken, I always expected beef. But I was given reassurance that the soup was beef broth, so I gave it a go. Oh my! That was the most delicious Pho I’ve had in my life! They call it, “Mum’s Chicken Pho”. My husband and I ended up ordering a total of THREE BOWLS after we tasted one! Coming back soon!

Food always amazing, by the taste you can say it’s fresh, this time I wanted to try the pho noodle which is very famous unfortunately I couldn’t taste it. We did ordered it but as soon as we’ve received it we got a hair inside, we did informed the staff and unfortunately i didn’t want to order the same thing again, then ordered the Grandma’s fried rice!!!

Great vibes. Efficient and friendly team. Breakfasts go till 3 pm. Had an Acai Bowl and it was the best ever. Small area inside for dining and large dining area outside. Underneath there are showers for those who come from the beach. Recommend.

My family and I are relatively new to WA (we are from Melbourne). We have spent the past 6 months exploring our local cafes and restaurants and this establishment has certainly stood out. Where most places we have visited have delivered average to below par food for the price, Surfing Lizard has been fairly priced for the food on offer. The produce is clearly well sourced and fresh, the customer service was exceptional and the meals delicious. Whilst the menu may not be huge, there's still a great variety to choose from and a decent kids menu to boot. I also recommend their in house selection of drinks as they were also fresh and tasty. It's safe to say that my family and I have found our local brunch favourite. Unfortunately no photos this visit as we devoured it all before I had a chance to write this review. Photos to follow next visit. Also, the atmosphere was good, there's a great kids area and the four legged family members are catered to too. After a delicious meal, the playground and beach are a stone throw away. Highly recommended. ADDITIONAL FOLLOW UP REVIEW: My family and I came back for brunch again today. The food has been consistently good so far. I noticed there are a few reviews that question the pricing, personally I feel the pricing is fair, especially considering the produce they use is fresh and good quality. I have walked away today with one gripe though, they have changed their payment method, we didn't deal with a person, instead made our order via a tablet at the counter, it took longer and also took away from the experience. The wait staff were still excellent though. I've added a couple of photos this time.

Amazing location, food is just always good no matter if it's the fries , fried rice or breakfast. Coffees super tasty , love the house made drinks. and staff is nice and friendly and Minh's staff very nice 👍 highly recommend

Amazing quality food! I always get my food so quickly it amazes me how persistent they are, the staff are friendly and I love how it’s dog friendly! It’s definitely one of my favourite places to get breakfast or lunch 👏🏻 especially like staff Minh serving

Awesome food and reasonably priced. The fried rice is worth a try, one of best I had. Pancakes are fluffy and tasty but have the ice cream first before it melts on a hot summers day. Definitely worth checking out.

Stopped in for lunch, ordered straight from the table, everything was out within 10 minutes while our daughter had a play. Food and service were top quality!!

Great place to sit inside or out. Service was great and food came out quickly. Coffee was so good. The coffee mugs keep them so hot.

Lovely yummy food 😋 Been coming to this cafe a few times, always have great tasty food. My kids love the crispy duck fat fries, they are super yummy. Staff are friendly and best of all dogs friendly too!! 😊
