Great little sandwich shop. Staff was great loved the feel and look of the place was like stepping back in time. Ordered the Cowbell fresh Prime rib, horses radish, and Au jus on a fresh roll. Definitely recommend. Take time to look at the decor while waiting for your food you could probably see something you missed each time. I also had the special sausage sandwich which was also great.

It was the only Cafe around and alot of police officers were eating there, just be good and local right? I was a little disappointed at the prices. While the food was good, i felt like 8.99 for a grilled cheese sandwich was a bit much. The potato salad was a large serving and the best I've ever had!!

All the charm of a small town, but an incredible menu that rivals big city sandwich shops. I think it's really great that this century old hardware store was converted into this incredible restaurant. I really like that all of the dishes are named after hardware tools. To top off the ambiance here, they had the Andy Griffith show on a constant stream on the TV at lunch. On the old hardware shelves they have a lot of local products for sale, including coffees and teas. They have new specials every day and specials on Friday and Saturdays. Great homemade food. Better than moms. Try their homemade desserts...you will thank me. They have a really good Reuben that they call the Hammer, and a pastrami sandwich, that will make you want more, they call the Lure. Great service to boot. I will definitely be back to work my way through the tool chest of sandwiches.

Cutest little sandwich shop. The guy running the place was so polite. Food came really quick. Great place for a quick lunch. It's a restored hardware store, they kept a lot of the original things which adds to the character a lot. Loved it! I'll definitely be back.

The sandwiches here are fantastic. I love the conversion from hardware store to sandwich shop, it's a cool old building. Finally the staff are friendly and welcoming and get the food out fast!

A refreshing experience, to walk into a restaurant and have a positive experience from beginning to end! Not to be told “No” but instead they give you options, wow! Food quality - par none. We had a party of six and everyone enjoyed the experience!!! Thank you!!!

We went for breakfast. Their menu for breakfast is mostly bagels/biscuits/breakfast sandwiches. Our food was delicious! A perfect place to stop before our long drive back to Florida. The staff was super friendly and the dining room is unique and lovely. Great atmosphere! Loved the Ghostbusters display in their outside window. ❤️😍

So I am a transplant from the northeast to the south and am still not used to small town living. One of my biggest complaints is the lack of basic services, including a decent restaurant. Then I tried the Hardware Cafe, which I have always passed thinking it was a local hardware store and was pleasantly surprised to find that it is a charming, bistro type eatery with some pretty good food. I tried the stuffed chicken with a baked potato and lobster bisque, yum. This entree was absolutely delicious. The young lady behind the counter was friendly, warm and very helpful in explaining the menu . I loved the unique atmosphere and the very relaxing background music. I purchased my food to go, but the music and chill atmosphere caused me to sit, play some candy crush and relax out for a few minutes. To top it all off I had a slice of the yellow cake with mandarin orange inside and it was so good. Will definitely be returning to this nearby gem.

Friendly staff that welcomed me with a smile. The throwback 80’s tunes playing in the background added to the positive vibes. Would visit again if I’m ever in the area.

Staff is extremely friendly. Ordered bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. EVERYTHING including the biscuit was homemade. Biscuit tasted just like my grandma made it. Prices are also very good!

Great little shop! Very clean, extremely friendly staff and outstanding selection of teas and coffee. I especially appreciate that they are the only place in town with wifi...even if it is a bit slow.

Great local spot to enjoy lunch and Friday dinners in a cool historic building. Locally owned and operated couple, who serve the community in many, many ways and support other local businesses and its people. Some of our favorites are the Ladder, Hawaiin burger, and the pig pickin' cake! Glad to have them in Warrenton!

This little cafe is the cutest! I love how they preserved so much of the original hardware store. I would really really love more vegetarian options though. :)

It was OK. Not impressed. For the price my chef salad was small. I don't care for having to stand at the register to place my order, pay for it and leave a tip prior to being seated. My tips are based on the servers performance, not because I should or made to do do before being waited on. Hubby got a sandwich. They don't serve fries. Will only return in a pinch.

This place is fantastic! The food is phenomenal, the college-bound host is delightful and the atmosphere is retro cool. A stop in Warrenton is not complete without going there! (Then go look at the old homes that are being restored or need to be restored!)
