I tried to contact them privately about this but despite seeing they have read my messages it has been ignored. Just want to express my disappointment over last nights meal. 3 of us came for Mother’s Day spent over $130 only to have our meals sent out half hour apart. We come here to eat together not to watch each other eat. I understand you are busy but you should hold the other meals back and serve together. The seating outside was dangerous the wooden slats are all loose and falling out and I sat on a large nail sticking straight out ruining a pair of expensive jeans and puncturing my skin with a rust nail.

Worst meal I've ever had. Where to start? Ordered Chili dog. 'Sausage' was raw. So-called grilled onions were blanched. Partner tried to placate me with her Ribs and steak. Ribs were steamed with some crazy bland sauce. Steak couldn't be chewed, straight boot leather. WORST dining experience in all of Perth. Please change your name, don't disgrace the Great State of Texas. Never so 😡 with food. Insulted really.

Service was strange. The poor staff won't make eye contact and everything takes a long time to happen. Very quiet when we arrived but as more people ordered, they all got full meals to their tables before our three plates of miniature wings were ready (at least 40 min wait). We ordered drinks and it took a long time for staff to come back to tell us the kegs were out. Then we were charged for the drinks we didn't get.

Absolutely bad service on WA day. Stood for ages at door to be seated, eventually had to seat ourselves then had to fetch our own menus.. Waitress eventually came up didn't even great us. Just asked if we were ready to order. Asked for medium steak got rubber.. When went up to pay and asked the same server that the steak and service was not great. She copped an attitude. People behind me also were not happy. Table next too us also complained.. I could see they were under staffed. And still had to pay 10% holiday surcharge.. Last time they sea us.

Father’s day lunch was bad. Ordered a Sherifs Rib Tower BbQ Ribs for 2, we had it before.. but today seems like the water from the meat flowing on the plate, from reheating in a microwave I think. The ribs doesn’t taste well seasoned. Seems they poured bbq sauce on top. I know the restaurant is busy because of the Father’s day.. they called me twice to confirm my booking..arrived earlier than I booked and the staff said we can stay only for 1.5 hour because they are jammed pack for reservations. What the heck!!! Then to my dismay our food turned out to be disappointing. The rib tower is $79 but it was meh!! The meat looks and tasted like boiled and bland. We thought they changed how they cook, so we tried to ate but We could not bare the taste and looks of it. Its not palatable and pleasing. So we stop. We ate the chips and a few left over of coleslaw. The guy( teller) still have me paid and gave discount, from $145 to 115$ they took the leftover. The busyness of the season is not the excuse for mishaps of the food preparations.

It was valentines day. Luckily able to book a table the wait were friendly and efficient however the food took so long to be served. We booked at 7pm was served with our order at 8:15pm. Felt sorry for the wait staff as they were bearing the brunt of hungrily waiting diners. It must have been staff kitchen issues. Good thing me and my partner had same light food late in the afternoon and was not so hungry. The food arrived and was happy with the serving size, quality and taste. We were given a $10 discount for all the trouble. That incident will not stop.me from coming back. If it weren't so busy and the same thing happened I might have given a lower score but kudos to the qiat staff as they soldiered on.

Conveniently located in the Cockburn Central Shopping Mall. A nice place to spend the evening with family or friends. Friendly atmosphere. Tasty food. Courteous service. Country and Western decor. Slightly high prices, but better than most pricey places. Would recommend it to everyone.

We tried the signature shoulder pork ribs and the chicken and ribs combo. The Portuguese chicken breast was perfectly cooked and that signature sweet & sticky rib glaze was surprisingly super tasty. The servings were also very generous. Service was a hit or miss depending on who was attending to our table.

I had the ribs. They were very fatty and meat was very dry. The sauce was just poured over the top to hide all of this no doubt? They did give me them for half price. Half price for eating nothing. They said I should of told someone. Well they should come round and ask people how their meals are. It was very expensive for a rubbish meal. My husband's steak was not that crash hot either. Will not be returning to pay for not nice food that you never ate. When you go out for dinner you expect to have a nice meal, better than what you can make at home, especially now with the cost of everything. Should of taken photos

I mean if I could give a zero start I would. We were a family of 14 who dined here for my birthday. About 2 out of the 14 enjoyed their meals. 3 of us had burgers, tasted like the burgers were frozen patties that you get from Cole’s, no flavour and terrible texture. If you thought the food was bad the service was even worse. I mean to say it was bad is an understatement, there was no service. Looked like they hired a bunch of 15 year olds with no enthusiasm to work, no social skills and no service skills. So many mistakes in our foods and drinks from poor service. Took too long to get our drinks and was a chore to try and find someone to get us more drinks. For a family of 14 who spend well over $300 that night we were no impressed one bit. They tried to charge us extra for sides that they forgot to add, asked for extra sides and did not receive. I definitely won’t be coming back here until management and chefs change. I could make a better burger in 5 minutes at home. Chips were pretty good though

Visited for dinner with the family, we ordered Sheriff's tower and it was great, the bacon cheese fries were also good. Place is well maintained, restrooms are kept clean, ambience was good, staff were polite and friendly. Overall a good family friendly place.

Great staff, great food but not without hick-ups. Disjointed food arrived at the table, a drink order wrong but again, great staff. The manager, a Maori lady, seemed disinterested, but her staff made up for her. I ordered a rib eye steak but it had no bone and was thin. A rib-eye without a bone is a sirloin. So I suspect I got a porterhouse??? At $40 it should have been much thicker and had a bone. At least it was cooked correctly. Mashed potatoes were lumpy.

Service's fast and friendly. Love their menu with many food to choose from. Good location too and for those who have small kids this place is a bonus as its located next to play area.

Ordered the pork belly sub $25 and literally had 3 small slithers of pork inside it! That was over cooked and inedible after a 45 minute wait! Sorry didn’t take a photo but walked out without eating or paying left it on the table. Being empty at lunch time should have given us a hint to the quality now! Had to give 1 star to be able to comment

Excellent service and very accomodating. I had ordered something I didn’t quite understand how it would look like when I asked for the waitress’s advice. I am giving them a 5 because I’m the end they changed for me at no cost although I had to put my foot down 😊

Spacious, outside and inside tables.

We did not enjoy any of it. For a rib and steak house, the flavours and the cook on the meats were sub-par. I ordered my steak medium and it came out blue/rare. I asked for it to be cooked more which they did and I was appreciative of. Everything tasted as if it came from a packet, the barbeque sauce was not enjoyable but they didn't substitute it so I just left it. The salad tasted old and the ribs were tough. The garlic bread was more like a cheese toastie you could make at home yourself and the southern fried chicken also tasted from a packet. Because of the public holiday, we also paid a surcharge. The meal was about $115 and was well below average. We will not return again.

Never intended to spend a lot tonight but the food was sumptuous. I appreciate how warm the staff was from the moment we were seated until our orders are served. The steak and prawns is to die for. Cheers to a great service!!

Great place to get away from Wife 🤣 Went there early around lunch. Order Steaks and Ribs with Chips. Pork ribs could be barbecue a bit more but porter steak is done medium rare as I requested. Wait time - less than 20min. Should add extra Hot wings, drumstick in the Menu aswell. What to improve: - Staff could be more friendly and communicate better. Example: how's your meal? Would you like anything else? Every else is Good overall.

Went in for the lunch special. Good value for money. Staff are always friendly Just wish they went back to country music. Pop/ alternative music doesn't quite fit the style of the place

Good place to have a date as they have a very good atmosphere in the restaurant. I really like the different "specials" they have every day. The 75 cents Chicken wings on Wednesday is really good with different flavors added. They also have all you can eat for $35 which is really good price. The staffs are welcoming as well. Definitely worth checking out

The staff members are very lovely, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is nice. However, I feel like Lone Star has gone downhill over the years, unfortunately. I used to love the ribs and meat here, but coming here the other night with my husband, we left very disappointed. We ordered the big meat platter that I think was $95. Obviously, you would expect a lot for that price, but what came was definitely not $95 worth. The meat on the actual platter wasn't that good either. The ribs were very average, the boerewors was dry, the steak was not seasoned well, etc. I would love to come back again and give Lone Star another chance (even though this was my second bad food experience with Lone Star) because I love giving good, positive reviews.

Looks like a nice place, friendly staff, the wall had a list of what specials are on every day of the week so might have a do there. I got a burger and wings takeaway. Finally a place that give you real spicy chilly with you say chilly. The burger was pretty good too.

Despite being under staffed the food came out promptly and was very good... great value kids meals.. getting drinks was easier to go to var rather than wait till server came to table, but not too inconvenient

Service was very slow, it wasn't busy. The kids meals were OK, although warm/cold but better warm than too hot. Our meal Cowboy Combo was terrible, I'm not sure how, but the crumbed Mushrooms was moist (sorry) with no taste, we got 3 peices of overcooked calamari and onion rings. A rip off for $22 should have ordered the kids meal.

Went for dinner tonight. Had the reef and beef The meat was ok and it had a really good side salad. Atmosphere was fantastic. For a rib house I expected a better price of meat but still a great night out.

The all you can eat ribs and wings was certainly more than I could eat but tasted DELICIOUS, finger licking gooooood! And washed down in the perfect way, with dam good cocktails 🍸 loved the Electric Lollipop. Will return.

Don't waste your time or money. Go to an establishment that values customer service. A party of 7 sat at 6pm, ordered at 630pm. 5 of 7 received their meals within 15/20 minutes. At 30minutes we asked about the other two meals. The serving staff checked and stated it wouldn't be long. After 1 hour the meals still had not arrived. The other 5 people had completely finished their meal. We cancelled the remaining meals. A sorry/sppology wasn't uttered until I stated "if this is your level of service I won't bother coming back" The managers reply "we've been having lots of complaints tonight, so fair enough" In balance the food that came out was ok. The two porterhouse steaks were cooked as requested medium rare and medium. One person with an egg allergy had a reaction from the cheeseburger - which doesn't have egg. So a question remains as to how clean the kitchen utensils are. Do your self a favour and avoid. The staff don't care. 56 reviews and this is the first food establishment I've given one star. I think that speaks for itself.

Was seated by one of the waitresses to be told 30 seconds later we needed to move as it was reserved. I explained that we had been seated by one of the staff, there was plenty of booths and tables free (4 families in there total). Communication between staff is key. Food was good, just found it wasn't the wholesome atmosphere that it use to be.

After walking into another venue a few doors down and all the tables still full of dirty dishes and scraps, we came across Lonestar that looked quiet but very clean so we decided to try that out for our Family of 4. This is our first time eating at a steakhouse, the menu had a great selection for all of us, the staff were all super friendly and experienced. The food didn't take long to come after placing our order it was fresh and cooked to perfection. But the most pleasing thing was to see capable and willing employees providing quality customer service, clearing tables, asking if our meals were OK, explaining items on the menu. This type of service is very rare these days and it made our evening that more enjoyable 😉 Highly recommend taking your Family out to this restaurant, you can certainly tell the staff have received training and enjoy working there.

Average pub food but friendly staff.

It was mothers day so very busy. The staff were flat out but the service was prompt and extremely good. Last time I went to a loan star restaurant was a very long time ago, the female staff wore red skirts/shorts and white tops with cowboy hats, and I remember the nuts and shell throwing, miss those days. A set uniform would look great on the staff as I noticed although all in black they wore jeans, tights and pretty much anything. The food was great, the pepper sauce didn't quite taste like it should but maybe it was a different recipe, but enjoyable all the same, I will go again soon. The store was at cockburn.

I have booked dinner for my sons birthday last week and I have told the restaurant that, I'll be bringing a birthday cake. The staff never checked on customers, when we finished eating, they didn't even care to come and remove the plates. they were pretending to be busy even when the restaurant was quiet on Monday night. I had to move the plates to another table so I can have space. We cut the birthday cake, they didn't even care to bring plates. so we decided to use the paper towel that was on the table for the cake. when they saw us using the paper towel for cake, they brought plates but it was too late. I am sure why we were treated that way?? is the skin colour that they don't like or what???

Terrible food. I ordered Friday special porterhouse $26. Steak was so hard I couldn't even chew. My mate ordered ribs & wings all you can eat $35 and he barely finished first round. So porkey and strong smell of pork. Had to wait so long to be served. Total waste of time & money. Tropicana pack from Red rooster would have been better. Will never go back there again.

!!!READ!!! Just a warning to you when ordering a 'pint' apon ordering a pint of juice they will instead give you a 330ml glass which they will call a pint , apon quizzing the staff they seemed puzzled, wheather or not there staff are not properly trained in hospitality or this seem like a very lucrative scam to charge you pint prices for only a 330ml glass, a standard pint is 570ml so check this before ordering anything in a pint size , when looking over to there bar it didn't even look like they even had any pint glasses what so ever ....

First up, the service was great. Attentive but not overbearing and extremely polite and friendly....but the food was not even average. We had loaded fries followed by a Green and Gold snitzel and some chicken tenders. I wasn't expecting miracles (after all, we ordered lots of deep fried chicken!) but the snitzel was overcooked and the tenders were so dry, they became inedible. The lemon wedges served with both meals looked like they were pepped last week some time. I had already pretty low expectations of what I was going to eat tonight, but Lone Star failed to even live up to those...and with 2 drinks, I paid just over $80 for the privilege! There is much better in the area for a whole lot less. Lesson learned.

I went to visit relatives and they took me to this place because they heard that new owners were taking over and wanted to try it out. I gotta say I loved my first experience with them. Lovely staff, amazing service and I had their delicious beef ribs and coleslaw 😍 This kind of service makes me love to go back there and not forgetting to try out some other dishes in their menu. Usually have really good service here but tonight they couldn't seem to get it right. Drinks didn't arrive, steaks were not cooked as ordered, sauces messed up. Only 1 food order out if 5 came out correct. Very disappointed.

I travelled 25 minutes to Cockburn to experience a steak as was shown on their tv ad. Unfortunately I was left a little short of admiration. The porterhouse steak had absolutely no taste ... probably slightly over cooked for medium rare. I did not get the bloody, juicy taste that it seserved. The mushroom sauce was some liquid with cooked mushrooms in it. The texture and the viscosity of the sauce was like water. It also had no taste. The onion rings were actually nice and the large jacket potato saved the day. So overall not a particularly pleasant experience but if you're after a quick steak, you will get one.

Food is usually pretty good and drinks are well priced, but service is always the weak point. We have been about 5 times and after every visit we just think it was luck of the draw with the service, but we have yet to have a good experience in that department. It ranged from average to terrible. In the last visit we waited a half hour from sitting down before being able to get the attention of a waiter to just order drinks. We were actually getting up to leave and go somewhere else and someone finally acknowledged us. And the other times (spread out throughout 2020) we had someone who seemed determined to make sure we knew they would be anywhere else at that moment.All our visits ranged from them being at roughly 30% to 70% capacity.

Nearly an hour later no food, then manager comes and tells us that the order didn't go through and kitchen was now closed!!! Absolutely disgusting service. As most places we're closing we had to go home without dinner. Thank you for ruining our family dinner date!!

It's very average - and it shouldn't be for the price. We all ordered the Ribs & Steak combo. Ribs were small but okay (I think two Ribs? Seemed stingy). The rump steak was very average and over cooked. Service was below par. All 3 meals came spaced apart and then the last one was forgotten and had to be cooked - we'd all finished our meals before he received his. The thing is if it wasn't so expensive you'd probably put up with it, but it isn't, and there are far better steak houses in Perth for far more reasonable prices.

The disappointment here was smokers area too close to outside dining area. If you don't have a smoking area then you need to enforce it, there as a couple of your customers that smoked several times and it appeared that it was your smoking area.

Staff were great but the food was very average especially for the price. Don't get the stake, no flavour.

Friendly staff, the beverages are great and the food is just as you would expect, delicious! The only downside is that the wait can take a relatively long while, but not always though so that's good haha

The service was slow, the food came out dry, overcooked steak and an incorrect drink. We have eaten at Lone Star previously and it kept us coming back but we will not be going there again.

Poor quality meat used and was overcooked terribly. Chefs are amateurs, the service was very friendly but waiting 40 minutes in an almost empty restaurant to receive a terrible steak and be charged $40 for the privilege. Much better places to eat in the area.
