This place has THE BEST TACOS I HAVE EVER TASTED. The flavors are WONDERFUL. Also, the chips and dips are GREAT!! The only problem is COST. You are going to spend 4$ for each small taco. I usually take a star away for cost but i believe this place is worth the cost. The pork belly and duck tacos are a must.

Stopped in for lunch on vacation with my fiance. I absolutely love their computer system for ordering food and drinks. You don't have to wait for a server to come to your table. You just order on an app and they bring everything out. It's amazing! Their cocktails, and food were all phenomenal! Service was great. The hostess who sat us was so nice! And our server was great as well! 10/10 service and food!!!

Tacos are excellent, kind of small, but pretty typical for street tacos. We tried the Baja fish, shrimp, pork belly, cauliflower, & prime rib tacos. They were all very good, but the prime rib & pork belly were our favorites. The street corn was also very good. The atmosphere is laid back. The decor & ambience were nice. Also, theres a large patio for sunny days.

Everything was AMAZING!! All the tacos were delicious, especially the pork belly! So innovative, creative, fun, and delicious. The corn was to die for, and the guacamole -drool-!! The tres leches...almost beats Texas, yum! Will definitely be back, thank you!!

I ordered delivery. The food was so delicious. I'm mad at myself for only ordering a 4 pack of tacos which I all but inhaled. I could easily have done 8. I ordered the spiced chicken Verde, spiced chicken Verde bowl w/extra chicken, and a side of chips and salsa Verde. I also got their pineapple and Rojo hot sauce. The hot sauces are a bit too hot for me buy that pineapple hot sauce had amazing flavor. The chicken bowl came with an avocado salsa, I don't eat avocado because it normally makes me ill. I was so hungry so I went ahead and tried it. It was really good. I'm hoping there's no ramifications from the avocado. The flavor was very citrusy. The tacos, so flavorful and fresh. The chips for the salsa and really big rounds. Mine came with 5. They were very crunchy and tasted fresh. I would definitely recommend ordering the 8 pack over the 4. You can never have too many tacos. Update: came in today for more tacos because I was just craving them. They are so good. The ambiance is wonderful. It's so casual and upbeat. Everyone seemed happy to be at work. The way you place orders really eliminates errors from customers ordering food and blaming servers because the customer is responsible for placing their own orders. Seems smart. You also have an open check so when you order a taco and decide you need more you can just add them. My kids ordered the fried plantains, tajin pineapple, and duck tacos. The duck tacos are like dessert. The tajin pineapple was so weird and good. The staff were very helpful with ordering and ensuring our food was brought out safely. There is paid parking behind the building.

Legit good place. The tacos are very tasty, although very small (recommend 3-4 per person atleast). Ordering is simple, online through a website and they bring it to you, so no waiting for the staff to order, easy stuff. Garrett who was our server was incredibly helpful, warm, and humble. Salsa with chips is heavenly, no seriously this isn't your mexican or tex-mex place chips and salsa, this was gourmet stuff. We also got the Tres Leche cake which did not disappoint at all.

This place was excellent. The food was prepared with high quality and fresh ingredients. Super delicious. The Pork Belly was like crack!!! The drinks were on point. Kate, one of the managers, really helped make our first time memorable. She is a Rockstar! Thing only negative was probably more our fault being rookies but we did the phone app ordering and the tacos came out on the same tray so the kids got confused who's was who's.

This place is fantastic! I love the ordering online from the table. We had tuna and the ribeye tacos, guacamole and the cucumber salad. Everything was super fresh and just good..... really good. I like the availability of chop sticks to eat with that's a nice touch.

My bf and I went to bartaco for lunch and really enjoyed our experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful and it was cool that you had to order on your phone. The food was and drinks were delish and exactly what we were craving on the hot day we visited. We had to wait a bit for a table, but that was completely fine (we went at a super busy time!), and we got to walk around the area a bit more and pop into all the cute stores while we waited.

ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING I DID NOT EXPECT. I love to travel and try different tacos across the US and this place TOPS them ALLLLL! From the way you are greeted by the manager, to the way you order to THE TASTE IF THE FOOD. It was immaculate. ✨ I could not have asked for a better variety of tacos to try and the Lobster taco is worth every scrumptious bite. 🥰 This will absolutely be our place of choice when returning to Nashville! Thank you for being a tremendous establishment that provides great service and great food! 👏🏽

Visited from Richmond, Va. came across this place based on reviews. Most awkward experience and I completely understand a lot has changed since this pandemic but things need to go back to normal in the service industry. It’s no longer a dining experience when I have to put in the work to place a dine in order through my phone. Literally everything is done through my phone till the very end. Then I have to pay and am expected to tip 18 plus percent. For what? For a good runner to bring my food that’s getting paid $20 an hour. Drinks were great but the food wasn’t what I expected. I do not recommend this place

A favorite of mine because of the great cocktails and tacos. Also this is an introverts dream come true! They've left the pandemic qr code ordering system in place! I hope they have found it to be more efficient. There is a patio and many gluten free options where you can mark it on your order. Use the waiting list online to get your name in so you don't have to wait too long for a table.

Bar taco's food is phenom. The bartender is very friendly and knows the menu. The only reason they get 3 stars is because of the consistency. Some days the tacos are plump and filling... other days it's puny and questionable. The flavors are always the same... but the portion sizes vary!

Great food as always & delicious house margaritas! We sat at the bar & had the absolute best service from Nicole. She was very friendly, attentive, & helped us choose something different from the menu. Hannah was also wry friendly. I am from Georgia but this location by far is one of my favorites.

Decided to try out bartaco because it had some of the best prices on 12 South AND it was packed. I’m so glad we found this place! The restaurant was super busy on a Saturday evening, but even without a reservation we were able to snag a seat right away at the bar (full service). The service is amazing, shoutout to Noah and Ari at the bar- they were both very attentive, kind, and efficient. In fact, it was hard not to notice how hard the entire staff was working & zooming from place to place to best serve their customers. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Rice Bowl and the Chicken Rice Bowl, and shared the large kale Cesar salad, all the dishes were great and we were served quickly. The rice bowls are on the smaller side, so if you come hungry, I’d order a couple of tacos too! The vibes are immaculate- the bar hosts a lot of young couples while the tables seated larger groups and even some young families (have a kids menu!). Also, sometimes it’s hard to find a bar with decent non-alcoholic options (that are more than just fruit juice in a cup) but the pomegranate lemonade was SO good!!!! Lastly, the key lime pie in a cup was delicious- definitely a homemade taste with the fresh cream and graham cracker crust!

Minus a few glitches with our order, the food and atmosphere was great. The staff was super friendly. I’d definitely go back.

This was an absolute culinary delight! First visit so I decided to step outside my comfort zone. I tried duck two different ways!! Phenomenal!! Tried pork belly tacos for first time! Also phenomenal!! Drinks were fresh and delicious! Dylan was a delight to meet! He was accommodating and personable!! I can't wait to go back!

Probably the best tacos I've had in my life. As soon as we got done, I ordered a few more. Neat atmosphere with plenty of natural light. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well.

Every day should be Taco Day. Bar Taco takes tacos to a whole new level. For a limited time, they are serving lobster tacos and other lobster dishes. My favorites are the shrimp, steak and cauliflower tacos. They are not just tacos, they are a performance of flavors for your palate. I always get the spicy cucumbers and if you don’t like spicy food, don’t let the word “spicy” scare you. The cucumbers have the appropriate level of heat. The black beans are seasoned to perfection. Did I mention they serve plantains with a delicious sauce that will have you licking your fingers. If you are carb conscious, ask for your tacos to be served on a leaf of lettuce. Try one of their numerous cocktails made with fresh fruits.

Great authentic tacos. We had the chicken, pork belly and duck tacos. Our favorites were the duck tacos which had a lovely gentle flavor. The verde dip was good but had a kick. If anything the tacos were a little small but quite enjoyable nevertheless

Food and drinks were outstanding. I crave that glazed pork belly taco still. Service was a little weird - our server sat down next to me and started talking about his day which we found a little odd. You order through an app and after we were done with our meal, we had issues adding my food to the bill. We asked one of the servers what to do and they told us to go get the QR code again and it should be fixed but we went back to the table, we were told by 2 different people that we weren’t allowed to sit there if didn’t see a host and we needed to move from the table… in front of a full section. It was embarrassing and we were just trying to pay for our meal😭 I would go back for the food but not the experience.

Absolutely delicious, well priced food. The vegetarian selection is outstanding. We sampled the cauliflower, squash blossom, and falafel taco which were all delicious, vegetarian options. The bowls were equally as amazing both with and without meat. Chips/salsa and gazpacho were soo flavorful.

Fresh made and all gluten free!!! Carafe of freshly brewed tea slightly sweetened with agave! Freshly prepared desserts! Awesome staff! All food made to order. Endless variety and feel free to leave ingredients off pee your taste or sensitivities. Made the Southern girl in me sing and satisfied my street taco cravings in beautiful setting with GREAT music. My favorites are the oyster and Baja fish tacos.

Unique! If you’re in the area you have to try this restaurant. It’s got a unique twist on the street taco. But don’t just stop at trying the tacos, they have rice bowls too. It’s great flavors and combinations of ingredients that make this restaurant a great place to eat. Be adventurous-the Brussels sprout taco is REALLY good AND the pork belly taco is a MUST have. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. The staff os very helpful. The only down side was that we had a little issue on timing of the food coming out together. However the staff was very responsive and corrected their mistake. Great service and great food!

Chill atmosphere! I liked the vibe of the place, the dish I got was actually decently affordable and very filling. I felt like I was getting a good value for my money and the ordering experience is pretty sweet. I’ve had better dishes in this cuisine but I would still return to bartaco.

Glazed Pork Belly Tacos were great! Duck Quesadillas were delicious. Really liked the Dipping sauce. Fish Taco ok, wasn’t expecting batter fried fish for some reason. I should have asked. They had a nice tangy sauce on them. Size up! Small Tacos. Expect to wait an hour. Really good hand squeezed Margaritas!

Always on point. This coastal Cali-surfer relaxed vibe flows out of the tequila bar and travels into their great outdoor (and pup-friendly) nautical inspired seating. The wall art is a favorite for this west coast transplant. Love the German-style “flag me if you need me” wait staff and the “order when you want” online open-tab ordering. Food is delicious but unpretentious and the spicy margaritas are absolutely everything you want in a jalapeño spiked drink! The appetizer plantains will make all the vegan and gluten free people in your life happy and their salsa verde is just right. Our table went for tacos and we got chicken verde, cauliflower, mushroom and Baja fish. The fish and mushroom tacos were so good we ordered another round. Spicy margarita too, naturally.

All fruit juices are fresh squeezed, the OJ was splendid! This was a great dinning experience, the online ordering makes it easier to see the whole menu while reading the descriptions. Also, you get to add comments, and add ins or take outs. I love the fact you can get all your tacos made into lettus wraps instead of tortillas. Nice. All the dishes served were great and after I tasted the trio salsas with chips and the salad with shrimp I could tell the rest was going to be so tasty. The 5 taco I ordered were cooked perfectly and tasted delightful with the lettus wraps. For dessert the Pineapple and Key Lime Pie really topped off the whole meal. Definitely a place to go over and over again.

Being new to town, I asked around which places I should try first and unanimously Bartaco was at the top of everyone’s list. And I have to say I understand why! This place did not disappoint!! We went on a Thursday night, so it was pretty busy. Beware that they don’t take reservations. You place your name on a waitlist and when your table is ready they’ll text you. This works fine, you can chill outside or at the bar and try their delicious cocktails. I have the blood orange caipirinha, which is a Brazilian cocktail made from rum, muddled limes and sugar. It is delicious and refreshing. We started off with ceviche and a small guacamole order(not pictured). The ceviche was delicious. The guac was good, but quite small. Make sure to order the large one. Decided to go with the street tacos and they did not disappoint. I got duck, pork belly and shrimp. The shrimp was quite spicy in my opinion. Wish I had eaten it first because both the duck and pork belly ones were quite sweet. They were full of flavor and quite generous in the amount of meat. The ambiance is also great- chill vibe with lively music. Will definitely come back and for sure it’s my favorite spot in Nashville this far.
