The staff at Costa's are friendly and hard working. I regularly go to the Caroline Street shop with a group of friends and always get great service. However, there are some serious issues with this establishment caused by the franchisee not being willing to spend any money on its upkeep. Ripped furniture, broken toilets and poor wi-fi are letting the place down. In addition, equipment that staff need to do their job is often breaking down including the app reader. During my last visit they'd run out of coffee at about 3pm. Apparently, the area manager for Costa is incapable of negotiating for improvements with the franchisee who has other Costa shops in a similar state of disrepair. People visiting a Costa coffee shop for the first time will be leaving this one with a negative impression of Costa as a brand. It is only the brilliant staff and great location that makes this Costa worth visiting.

The staff and management here are great - friendly, positive, and they always put the customer experience first. I'm reserving the extra star for when they replace/reupholster the fabric chairs and get rid of the stickers on the tables... and the internet connectivity needs serious upgrading. 2023-06-29 update: Something's going terribly wrong at the ownership level (bad leadership) as they're losing all their best staff.

It’s everything you expect from costa coffee, I had a coffee and a toasted tea cake and it was delicious, the staff where polite and helpful. Don’t forget to use the app and collect your reward beans and get a free coffee and also great offers for money off your visit

Very good coffee, just a shame about customer service! The male barista seemed absolutely lovely, whilst his female colleague seemed rather sarcastic and short. Overall enjoyable though

It was busy, they are flat out , but Will and Lewis had such a great positive attitude to everything they where doing, they are a credit to Costa specially at the end if the day . The two person team have performed better than 3-4 people in other costas we've visited. And they did it with a smile . Well done you two

Worst costa I have ever got coffee from! Walked in a two staff members sat down in the corner saw us come and their faces turned to be like uh why have you come in i gotta do some work now! No welcome, no hello, no what can I get for you, No rush, no get up and go, no real customer service! They didn't have a certain syrup so told us to go sit down and when our drinks were ready they shouted across the shop floor DRINKS! with real attitude! The feeling was that they both didn't want to be in work and no real customer! Very rude and very disappointed as never had service like this before on any costa!!

The staff in this Costa are excellent. They're so friendly and polite. This cafe is regarded as a daily 'local gathering place' by many residents of our town.

Stopped for a coffee in there town centre coffee shop! Staff friendly and polite, coffee was good. Only one thing letting coffee shop down, is it's looking tired and needs a makeover!!

So I ordered 3 drinks from Costa on Just Eat. 2 arrive. Just eat has been a nightmare in Bridgend lately so I just figured yet another driver screw up, I put in for the refund and headed to the store. Get in and order the drink that was missing and when asked if there was anything else I just said "no thanks the rest of my order is at home, just grabbing the one that was missed off our just eat order so I can chill". I assume the other lady next to the server was a manager as she clarified what I meant and what happened, was super apologetic and refused to let me pay for the drink?! I said repeatedly I was getting a refund from just eat and needed to pay for it and I figured they were the ones that screwed up so it's fine but she really insisted and couldn't do enough. I was really taken aback but I can't fault them at all, good as gold and fast as well. Absolutely amazing service. Staff are always lovely here which is why its the only Costa I still use but really above and beyond expectations today.

Expensive and not very hot. I try to avoid Costa and the other big brands and use a local cafe instead much better value, but this visit was with a friend and he insisted we go to Costa. Never again.

Some of the staff could be a bit friendlier and not sound annoyed when you ask them to clear dirty tables. Others were so friendly and polite ! Food is decent. Drinks are good. Atmosphere is a typical coffee shop.

My usual medium cappuccino with extra shot. I know prices have gone up. This was a treat while Xmas shopping.

Regularly visit as I work nearby. Staff are always friendly and smiling, in particular Andrew & Chloe. Service is always quick even when busy in store. Great flat whites!

Never trust Costa now after they've changed they're dairy free milk(s) for unsafe for gluten free people and high cross contamination. Worse thing is they announced on Twitter at the start the year "don't worry because of the steaming process, it'll be safe for gluten free" like steaming suddenly removes gluten! 🤷🤦

The staff are so enthusiastic about helping, and happy to see you. They checked the suitability of the new Christmas syrups and made my day when they said they were all suitable for dairy free so the excitement to be able to ordered the chocolate orange made me super happy

It's a nice Costa, the buildings exterior is more interesting than the interior.

Walls are deteriorating just like the town centre. Also please fix your toilet door, somebody walked in whilst I was wiping my arse.
