The Museum adds to the beauty of the citadel. It's glorious to wonder around and get first hand info regarding the ancient Afghanistan from the time where it was Arianna and Khorasan. Highly recommended it.

Beautiful and nice museum! the interesting thing is the building of the museum is a museum itself, it's in the Citadel of Herat and you watch the showcases in an ancient ambient of bricks and arcs. the objects arranged in order to date from prehistory. You should pay extra to take photos, and turn off your cellphone.
