The Pancake Breakfast Committee needs to fix the pancake event to better serve crowds. It wouldn’t be hard. Acquire one or more additional commercial-grade 72” propane griddles. Have a point of sale along the queue before the griddle. Customers get a ticket for the breakfast they bought. Pancake makers continuously make pancakes/ eggs/ sausage – NOT made to order. Pancake makers behind the griddles take tickets and hand breakfast plates to customers as they shuffle by the griddle. This would cost just a few thousand dollars, use staff more efficiently, and better serve visitors. Total no brainer!

What a glorious gem this place is. Tucked away on the slopes of Mount Tamalpais this “hike-inn” is a very quaint and cozy way to overnight with friends or solo. Shared kitchen and common space in the main house with several separate small buildings for a more private experience you can’t beat this getaway. The hike or bike in can be as easy or challenging as you like depending on your route. The main house is a little creaky so if you’re a light sleeper you may hear others getting up to use the shared restroom in the night. You can even take trails to several other locations to do an inn to inn route through this area, check it out!!

Just an amazing, amazing place. I am so fortunate have gotten to stay for a night in this historic property. We parked at Pantoll campground and hiked a relatively easy two miles up the old Stagecoach Road to the property. I am an avid backpacker, and I was a little unsure what to bring. I know how to plan for a night in the wild and I know how to prepare for a night in a hotel - but this was something in between. Turned out I brought way too much. The WPI is stocked with much of what I needed to prepare dinner and I really didn’t need sleeping bags - just linens to go on the bed. I brought dehydrated backpacking meals, but if I went again would bring something a little more substantial as there is a fridge that runs on solar and a commercial grade kitchen. There are also many old games and even a few musical instruments that guests can sit on front porch and meet other guests at the property while the sun goes down over the SF Valley. One of my favorite hotel/camping/hiking experiences in my life!!!

Our first time at the West Point Inn and it was spectacular. Great views, great people, and great times. Weather was a bit warmer than expected, but that was our only complaint, and I suspect there aren't many nights where that's an issue.

Very comfortable and with a stunning view. You have to complete an easy hike or bike ride to the inn, but it's well worth the (minimal) effort. The cost is reasonable, but the linen rental is too expensive. Expect to contribute to communal chores.

When I want to get away from the City, this is where I go! It’s magical.

We did the hike by mountain theater to get up and back, it took us about 1 hour each way. It is a little steep in places but very manageable. We went to the monthly summer pancake breakfast, it was great and we were served within minutes of ordering. There is a bathroom and the view is stunning

This is a great place to relax and recharge during your hike. You can sit on the front porch and enjoy the great views. They have lemonade and energy bars for sale, too. I've never spent the night at the Inn, but I've always appreciated the chance to take a break and stretch my legs when I hike past here.
