We were very hungry when we got to Spookfontein restaurant, so everything tasted delicious ;) The dumplings were a big hit as well as the battered hake and chips. We did not enjoy their wines that much. Service was also friendly and efficient

We enjoyed our time in a very good location, a great view and very good food. I recommend to visit the winery and to have lunch at the place. One of the best Ramem we have ever tasted

My partner and I went for a wine tasting and had the charcuterie platter. It was outstanding. The wines are superb, the platter excellent, views out of this world and our wine stewardess Olivia was delightful and knowledgeable. All round a brilliant experience. Looking forward to trying out the restuarant soon.

Had an awesome three course lunch at Spookfontein Wine Estate, the perfect afternoon. The service was really good and the recommendations made by the waitress really excellent. A must visit wine estate in the Hemel and Aarde Valley with expansive views. The Merlot Rose and Phantom wines are recommended.

Spookfontein Restaurant is on the Hemel and Aarde road up from Hermanus with the most beautiful view over the valley. Not only is the position of the restaurant of note but so too is the food.... Really good! The 2 red wines on the menu are worth mentioning as well. As a result the restaurant is busy so probably better to book in advance. Visit here for a memorable experience - you will not be disappointed.

We attended a wedding at Spookfontein, and what a wonderful experience! The food was absolutely delicious, the service great and the ambience not likely to be equalled. Combine all this with the most spectacular views imaginable, and you have a winner! We'll soon be back to experience their lunch menu 😁.

A friend told me they served THE BEST FISH N CHIPS in Hermanus so we knew what we going to order right from the start. He must have been drunk.. 😅 I mean, they weren't bad, but the best? Nah! You get two decent sized pieces of fried hake. The batter is light and crisp and in my case, somewhat over fried. I think this is because they're fried from frozen and just to make sure the inside is cooked. The fish had that watery vibe where it definitely wasn't happy to leave the sea, let alone the freezer. Now, if I'm paying R165 for fish n chips, albeit in a gorgeous location with a spectacular view, I want chips! Not French fries out of a packet. They were saved only by the chip spice. Mushy peas were nice, but to be honest the best think on the whole plate of food was the mayo. Luscious, thick and creamy! Service was friendly, but a bit slow. We asked for chili sauce when the food arrived, and again when I was 1 piece of fish down. Only got it with a half a piece of fish and 3 chips left... 😅 We'll definitely be back to try some of the other items on the menu but for now the search for the best fish n chips must go on!
