Lovely place to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Menu is very interesting with Asian and African dishes. Portions are just right and food tastes great. Nice variation on the menu for deserts. Staff are very friendly and the ambience is relaxed and friendly. We had a large table in the corner by the office which felt like our own private room. Will be back!

Good food and service. Overall one of the better places in Voelklip. Their menu is somewhat pricey, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Above-average, but unfortunately, the location is next to a busy road, hence the reason for the four stars.

After 3 weeks vacation in south Africa 🇿🇦 we enjoyed the Asia food 😋. We felt a lovley welcome. Everyone was very friendly to the foreign German guests 🙂

Our first visit to Lizette's was enjoyable. The interior is very attractive, the staff are friendly and attentive and the menu, Asian inspired, was interesting. I enjoyed the panko crumbed prawn starter with nori mayo. The nori mayo was very savoury and it was a relief to dip a prawn in the dipping sauce that came with the 3 pork spring rolls, which were crispy and tasty. My 'seafood' laksa was heavy with coconut milk and a short on spice/flavour. There were 5 mussels, some small tender hake pieces and two small prawn dumplings, I would have preferred the prawns on their own for a 'seafood' hit rather than the dumplings but perhaps if the base had been more spicy/complex this would not have mattered. My husband really enjoyed his stir fried beef luc luc but would ask for it with rice rather than the standard French fries. The cappuccino was excellent. We will return and taste some other menu items.

Location and atmosphere is good. The artisan flatbread was not bad. The various other seafood dishes was not up to par. There was not a lot of seafood variations and neither was it fresh. Mostly just frozen and put together. I’d return for the coffee and the flatbread.

We've been wanting to stop and have a bite since we moved to Hermanus 7 months ago. It's was so worth it. I had the Falafel bowl which was absolutely delicious. Generous and so tasty. Hubby had the omelet with bacon and thoroughly enjoyed it. Coffee was delicious, nice and strong. Lovely atmosphere and a bonus that we can take our dog next time. Thanks so much. See you soon 🔜

First time Sandy and I have been to this restaurant. Our Barista coffee was sensational. The breakfast with soda bread toast was absolutely delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Lovely bar area as well. Superb location and lots of parking. A must visit if you are in Hermanus. Top class restaurant for sure. Mike and Sandy.

I've read tons of bad reviews and I can't understand why. We've been here twice whilst working out of town - months apart - and on both occasions the food was great. I will say that service was slow and the restaurant wasn't busy so, that in itself shouldn't warrant an inattentive waiter but the food more than made up for it. We'll be back again in March next year and will do a follow up on this review to comment on consistency :-)

Food so good, we decided to come back 2 nights in a row! Highly recommend Lizette’s restaurant to anyone wanting to try something different, exotic and delicious. We celebrated our anniversary and were treated to a nice surprise dessert and sherry.

Really nice place, a little on the pricey side, but the cheesecake I had was absolutely amazing, as for the other food, I have no complaints.

What a wonderful experience over the past 15 years. Friendly staff, great food, nice atmosphere. Affordability good. Love the place. However, I suggest that some new items being brought onto the menu. The veranda get high pressured washed more often to eliminate the fly problem. Have a wonderful 2023.

Had a lovely late lunch at Lizettes with a friend on Saturday! We'd done a wine tasting at Creation and were looking for somewhere to eat that was a little more relaxed and budget friendly. Lizettes luckily had space for us and we got a cozy corner booth where we could watch the rain outside but be nice and comfortable on all the cushions and near the indoor fire. We both opted for the Bun Cha pork three ways which was interesting and delicious! Then for dessert, after sitting for a while and letting our lunch settle, my friend had the ice cream and bar one sauce and I had the flourless chocolate cake (absolutely devine!) and we shared a plunger coffee - which was such a nice experience to have at a restaurant it made it feel so homely. Lovely experience all round!

Old favourite of ours, enjoyed our artisan flatbread options that we selected, really divine taste. Also great that we can take our furbaby with us. Great menu options, different to the norm!!

Moroccon lamb shank was absolutely fabulicious, served with a fresh Greek salad, lovely atmosphere, great menu!! Tried the Newton Johnson Sauvgnon Blanc, what a lovely wine!

An absolutely exquisite experience. Our waiter was wonderful, friendly, helpful and full of smiles. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the food, wow, absolutely phenomenal. Definitely one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Thank you very much, we shall certainly be back!

Probably one of the best restaurants I have been too. Stunning location and beautifully decorated. On arrival it felt like I was at a friend's house for lunch. Homely. The food is absolutely yum! We had a 4 course banqueting style menu served and each element married so well together. Lizettes experience and knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine shines through the sauces and vinaigrettes served with each dish. Amazing service as well. Can't wait to visit again.

The food here was tasty. There is food from Vietnamese cuisine, African cuisine. That makes this kitchen unique. The flat bread was tasty and generously filled. The curry was spicy, but didn't have a very strong taste. The fish was tasty and fun to share with someone with the curry. The 3 kinds of pork were presented very nice and was one nice dish. We sat inside by the stove. The staff were friendly.
